  1. Why couldn't they sell 50k/year. Won't this be imported after the 2007 contract talks in September? Also, I see no reason why this won't sell 50k/year. It has a much nicer interior than the Charger, more power than the Hemi (except the SRT-8 ), and it looks better (IMO). This is basically a poor-man's last-gen BMW M5 or CTS-V.
  2. I think that's only in the SUVs, but I'm not positive. Also, the word "number" is very important in your post. I'm pretty sure C&D tested the Yukon Denali to be .1 faster than the Escalade to 60. I am guessing that it's rated lower to make the Escalade look like it's worth a bit more.
  3. Autoblog said the interior was great.

    What's next?

The LaCrosse is next. I doubt they will import something, as it would be very similar to the G8.
  5. It's certainly better than the Sebring, and it has some cool features, but some of the exterior looks bad (goofy looking hump over the real wheel, rear looks 7 years old already). Avenger -> <- Malibu
  6. I think they should be all V8s. I'm sure the Charger with the Hemi sells about what they're targeting this for anyways, so it wouldn't make sense to sell cheaper versions if you can sell all of them with the V8 that you can produce.
  7. Since the GMT900s.
  8. What the Malibu Press Conferene here: http://gmtv.feedroom.com/?fr_story=FEEDROOM171911 A good quote from Autoblog: Also, here are some real-world pics http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-chevy-malibu-1/ I think it looks GREAT in these new pics; I really want to see it in person.
  9. The original pictures do not do the care justice:
  10. Check out the video and some new pics: www.cadillac.com/allnewcts Also, I've been reading other message boards to see what they think. Nearly everyone at CSS and C&D loves it. And, what surprised me the most were the responses at ClubLexus (see quotes below). It seems non-GM fans love it too. ClubLexus quotes: From an IS350 owner: Another IS350 owner:
  11. Why should only Detroit be worried? It seems to me Hyundai and Kia should be worried the most, as the Chinese cars seem to target a similar audience.
  12. Out of those three sources, Motor Trend is certainly the one I'd trust the most, though they've certainly lost some credibility too. It's good to hear that it seems Toyota was trying to best the T800s, not the T900s.
  13. I like the wheels a lot, and the tailpipes are kinda cool, but that's about it. The engine also sounds nice, but at the price this is going to sell for, everything has a nice engine, and most don't look like complete crap.
  14. I doubt this will be as expensive as an RS4, but other than that, the RS4 is better in probably every way.
  15. Agreed it is better than the concept, though it's not great. The current EVO MR is $37k, so I sort of doubt this will come in that much cheaper. Also, the interior is likely very bad considering it is just an economy car, more or less.
  16. It's quite possible it makes 400/415. GM's TT 3.6 made similar.
  17. Actually, the wood is slightly misaligned, but I'm guessing that's because it's preproduction (like the Aura was).
  18. Hmm, perhaps. I believe they talked about that in the unveiling "video" so maybe I should watch it again. I really want to see the interior in black, I think it would look so much better (and it already looks good). bowtie_dude: I think you should add the A4, GS (it's smaller than the CTS), and maybe the C-Class to your picture post.
  19. I don't like the body kit much, but it's not terrible. The worst part, however, is the hood buldge. It looks downright silly in the profile shot. I'm more interested with how it performs. Looks can sometimes be overlooked if it's a great performer.
  20. Right, but the CTS gives you the full 300HP on regular, the others give you less, but as I said it doesn't really matter if it takes premium or regular to someone who can afford a $40k car.
  21. I sort of wish they would have made it run on premium and then it would have made even more power. On an average fill-up, premium only costs like $3 extra anyways. That's nothing for someone who can afford a $40k vehicle.
  22. From what Jim Taylor (I think it was him?) or some GM high-up employee said there was a small RWD Cadillac, I believe, so perhaps the EPII model got canceled and it's going to be on the new small RWD platform. I don't really know though.
  23. Remember that the BLS is coming, too. That could be a reason why the CTS is looking less sporty.
  24. The front looks like a Mitsu; I don't like it. The rear is fine.
  25. I think they decided to not show it.
