  1. but can it handle a freeway cloverleaf at 70+mph?
  2. around here, I'm convinced the stupid people outnumber us smart people 100:1 An actual conversation I had with some kid with a flat tire the other night. Me: Hey, kid, you know you got a flat tire, right? Kid: (obviously stoned; stops, contemplates, suddenly becomes offended) Whaaaat? Me: The tire on your car is flat. you need to put air in it. Kid: What'd you say? You wanna fight punk? Me: Dude, you gotta, like, fix your wheel maaaan, it's totally f**ked up. Kid: (finally notices his tire) Oh, sh**, sorry bro, didn't see that. seriously, I don't understand that. It makes NO sense. Has the term "flat tire" suddenly become some sort of insult in the past few years, and I didn't know about it?
  3. never noticed that before...but I can't say it bothers me so much, considering how gorgeous the rest of the car is. Like a beautiful woman with two different color eyes. ...actually scratch that metaphor. that's sexy.
  4. Jalopnik just got a nasty letter from a lawyer representing the tool company saying basically "Take this down or we'll sue." You guys get anything like that yet? Anyway, they shouldn't really have a case, because the liability falls on the person who leaked it in the first place.
  5. something my sophomore lit teacher always told me when writing a story that I always try to take to heart: "show, don't tell." Anyway, I do hope you feel better. Pneumonia is serious business. Shame about having to sell the Carlos, though.
  6. well, come on now. Everybody knows Cleveland is actually part of Finland.
  7. I saw that on Jalopnik. How the hell could that thing be roadworthy, much less driveable on the freeway?! Like a bomb waiting to go off...I mean moreso than any other Pinto.
  8. ahahahaa poor kid
  9. these are sweet little numbers, too.
  10. And I too, love vintage Bimmers. Namely Das Batmobil!: ...and for those of us who like our E9's clean (and can appreciate fine art):
  11. Ah, that's a Tyrrell! I have never actually seen one of those. I always wondered how the six-wheeled layout worked.
  12. Montana, why hast thou forsaken us?!
  13. if I google rear-engine cars though, all I get are Porsches and Volkswagens
  14. Not sure how the gearbox in situated on the old VW platform (If the Porsches are any idication, I'm thinking the gearbox is over/ahead of the axle) but I seem to remember seeing old prewar Renaults or maybe Citroens (or some French car) with gearboxes laterally mounted behind even the engine (How in the world it gets to the axle is another story). NSU's might be situated the same way. Not sure though.
  15. really. what if a big chunk of that smashed through the windshield and hit the driver?
  16. actually I decided that a 997 C4S would work just fine. (A Turbo would just be overkill, and likely to overkill me) Realistically however, an Audi S5. Or perhaps an S6 if I wasn't a bachelor.
  17. parking for the directionally challenged...
  18. did a helluva job though. fraud or not, it's a beaut.
  19. Bump. Have I mentioned lately just how much I love Splittys?
  20. don't have phones at the moment, so no audio, but is that just a one-off/custom chop job/concept, etc.? it is wicked awesome though.
  21. That'd be the VGA. Sounds like a good buy though, Staples has never steered me wrong before.
  22. Very True, one of the few cars I think Honda has built well, just needed to take it to the next level. Yeah, S2K's and the NSX are the only Hondas I've ever really loved. I hate Civics with a passion you can only imagine, and the rest I can take or leave.
  23. Oh crap, and a Charger Super Bee ($42,625)...gaaah, stop it, TJ!
  24. Sports cars: Corvette Grand Sport coupe ($56,000) Camaro ZL1 ($54,100) Mustang Boss 302 w/ stripe delete..MUAHAHAHA!! ($43,000) (You can also get a 2013 Shelby GT500 and hit 200mph for $54,200.) Subaru BRZ Limited ($27,500) Sporty Luxury: BMW M3 coupe ($60,100) CTS-V coupe ($64,515) Infiniti G37S Coupe 6MT (Rebadged as a Nissan Skyline 370GT-S; $44,200) I would have liked to throw in a Jaguar XF S/C for $68,100, but that would have been eight cars. And I wanted the BRZ more.
