  1. after three days-- "Did the fillings in my back teeth come loose?"
  2. I think it's the Bravo. Alfa Romeo is the Giulietta, and I don't even wanna know what the Lancia even looks like.
  3. Yeah, and remember this one? This was creative. This was awesome. This was legendary, even...I mean before the uppity types complained and had it pulled... they should do more like this.
  4. I absolutely agree. I only saw the "Miss Evelyn" ad when it aired (I didn't watch the game because I don't particularly care for either team); it started out attention grabbing enough but it just died at the end with the anti-climactic ending (one of my biggest peeves). And Blu's right, silver is boring on a Camaro (and any car, really IMO). I saw the "Lassie" Silverado ad the next day on the internet (along with the Bumblebee ad) and I thought it was pretty funny. And though I didn't see it, the Glee ad sounded like it had the biggest budget and was the most extravagant. But I also saw The Chrysler 200 ad, and the Mini-Vader ad, and they were both far more memorable. The Chrysler ad in particular stirred up some good ol' "Detroit, f*** yeah!" feeling. Bumblebee suddenly showing up at a Chevy dealer's "Cheap" commercial, was more of a short "WTF moment" that faded almost as soon as the commercial ended. GM can do better than this, and they have. They just need new advertising people with...well, more imagination.
  5. Yeah. I think I'm in love.
  6. I'm not sure I like it. I love Ferraris and I am warming up to their design trends (especially the downright SEXY 458. Mama mia!) But it would look much better as a true fastback, rather than with this pseudo-kammback roofline. And the grille looks positively goofy. It needs to be toned down in size. I was fine with the 612, but I never found it as good-looking as my all time favorite Ferrari 2+2, which remains the elegant, simple 456M. Now THAT's true Italian beauty. *Sigh* oh Pininfarina, how I miss you.
  7. "Thank you, TSA. For making me still take off my belt and shoes, even though I just walked through your full body scanner and showed you my nuts." --Jimmy Fallon.
  8. oh GOD yes, definitely. I'd love to see Nissan revive the Silvia/240SX, but every time the word leaks out that its coming back, it's quashed by a very difinitive "CANCELLED" from Nissan. And I'm super annoyed that the latest Silvia project was supposedly cancelled for this monstrosity: (ugh. looks like a catfish that lost an MMA title fight.) Come ON, Nissan. Build REAL cars. Sure you've got the Z and the GTR holding your performance banner well (the Maxima, despite what you say, is a far cry from a sports car), but not all of us can afford those.
  9. definitely 2-door hardtops. It can't just be Mercedes-Benz and Bentley doing this. there has to be a way to make the frame rigid without adding weight; they do it with convertibles (and cars designed from the ground up to compensate for convertible versions) all the time.
  10. there are 29. i counted.
  11. or it's a Honda from the 80's or 90's with the 2L engine, and you have to take the intake off to get to the hose mount.
  12. What is worse is that there is a group (unsure if it is the same group) that is trying to re-write THE BIBLE to rid it of quote-on-quote "liberal bias". Really? You're going to change Scripture to better suit your political agenda?
  13. Bentley Conti GT + Taco Bell parking lot = Awesomeness. I guess rich guys need Fourthmeal too.
  14. I willing to guess that they aren't giving up the VIN a) because they expect several people to come forward with identical cars, as a publicity stunt. b) so that they actually have the one concrete piece of information that can identify the true car, so that when someone actually finds it, they would disclose the VIN to PJ to avoid any wild goose chases or, more likely, fraud.
  15. Meanwhile all its contemporaries, R&T, MT and Automobile, have ranked the Camaro above the Mustang. Three against one. Thos three magazines are more readable than C&D, I have found, and more C&D I have found is very Anti-GM. they never miss the opportunity to point out any shortcoming, blow it out of proportion and state them as "GM's biggest fault!" the Camaro also lost to the Genesis coupe in C&D, whereas where I read it elsewhere, the Camaro would edge it out. They say they don't hold out much hope for the Cruize, and call it the replacement for the "unloved" Cobalt. rant 'Scuse me? unloved? I think The Cobalt has too much of a following, evidenced by it's racing program, various Cobalt fan-sites (see, Csaba, FANS, you moron!), and even a Cobalt SS Club (forget where but I have heard of it.) to be considered an unloved car. Not to mention--oh, of course--that the other, more reputable car mags won't hesitate to show how much of a capable car it is (the SS at least) in its segment. /rant
  16. I wish: Nissan GTR More plausible: A WRX or an Evo For real: maybe a gently used zeta Camaro or a new Mustang or Challenger.
  17. ...drivers that don't know what a f---ing turn signal means.
  18. why not? The GT500 has 560hp now. if you've got the arsenal, use it.
  19. hell, if I had $25K I'd take it gladly, door, title and all. Where else are you gonna get a top-of-the-line neo-musclecar for that kind of money?
  20. in other words...don't hate the player, hate the game. seriously though, it's pretty bad when your peers try to deny you your own free speech and look down upon you just because your view differs from thiers. One has every right to disagree, but you should respect everyone else's view, even if it's contrary to yours. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's what makes America, America. i can rant because I've had to deal with this all week. apperantly, I hold a different opinion than those around me.
  21. I like this. It's a very well designed car from the outside (Much, MUCH better than the Cruize). The electric/fuel cell powertrain is sure to be a real game-changer. Way to knock the Prius out of the ring.
  22. yeah, uh... NO. Am I the only one that things it's a hideous design mess? Sorry, I'm keepin' the Cobalt, it's a much better (and sportier) looking car. I don't care how supposedly better it's built, or what better engine it has. The Ion was less offensive to the eye. This just looks like bits and pieces from Sebrings, various Volkswagens and Accords were pasted together on the Delta.
  23. Anybody got bigger pics of the black ones? Here's a couple shots of a silver one to mull over... ...don't ask me why the wheels on the left side are different from the ones on the right...
  24. Where? I didn't even know they were out yet! I drove by a Nissan dealership a while ago to see if I could catch a glimpse of one in the showroom, but alas, none to be found... And speaking of dealerships, has anyone actually seen a Ford Edge on the road? one of the local dealerships here is touting it as a "best seller", yet I don't think I have seen a single one since they came out.
  25. you'll always be C&G's favorite little twinkie, BV. Anyway, that nice little overgrown "pimple" in your armpit sounds sorta like a cyst. What'd the Doc say it was?
