  1. I got the black on red Z28. it's badass. and yes, I know/know of a couple people from Brazil who are die-hard "miniature collectors" as they call themselves.
  2. make a FrankenJeep
  3. oh...santa monica. jeez what an idiot i am.

congrats. I'm totally jealous. maybe someday
  5. although I did not get to see Pops. must not have been there when i rolled through; I'd have remembered a giant soda bottle. All kinds of soda you say? hmmm....
  6. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh. and I have it past where you went in CA. I think where I mapped it, it peters out somewhere in Santa Barbara. although I did follow little bits here and there on my last road trip in --gosh, 2006!-- some in Flagstaff, some in Albuquerque and most of Oklahoma (Reno to Tulsa). Tulsa is as far as i got though, but it's a nice town.
  7. yes, but that was a particularly ugly Taurus. .and part of me wonders what the Australians would have thought of the 90's Thunderbird, assuming they did get it.
  8. weather's been peculiar since last summer.
  9. I bet they changed the name because Jeremy Clarkson made the joke that "KUBANG!" was the sound it would make once the warranty expired.
  10. yes unfortunately, Dubai has a big problem with a lot of classic and future classics being abandoned because the rich twerp who owns it doesn;t want it anymore, and nobody with any money there will buy anything more than a couple years old (more than maybe 3 yrs., and it's considered "inferior"), so they just dump it. and then the local police impound them, and if nobody comes to claim them (of course they won't) they just crush them.
  11. or one of Keith Moon's. and yes, lol to the headlights still being on. I didn;t notice those.
  12. huh? I'm as fit as I'll ever be, and I do walk quite a bit nowadays. I'm pretty healthy; not Bob Harper healthy, mind you, but i'm not fat, sick or diabetic. I was making a silly Monty Python reference with that last bit of my post. it was a running gag in one of their movies where somebody was thought to be dying: "He's not dead yet!...I think he's getting better...Actually I think he might pull through...oh, no, no, he's died." I always appreciate the good vibes though.
  13. yes, but you can still tell it's a Cayenne, which is, in turn, actually a Volkswagen. the Panamera, however is not. oh yes, and: "I think I might be getting better!" "I think I'll go for a walk..."
  14. I guess we really didn't either. It's part of why Honda and Toyota became so prolific here despite looking exactly the same as each other for so many years.
  15. It appears you've seen a MOUNT CONSTRUCTION vehicle. They're based in southern NJ (Berlin) and can be found everywhere in and around the NJ-PA area. All of their vehicles are painted that light metallic bright blue: I've seen some pretty interesting vehicles painted in their blue color! I really like that color. Would look great on a sports car. and that VW Up! isn't bad either. would have made a good Scion iQ/Dumb ForTwo/Mitz iMiEV competitor.
  16. yeah guys, you're supposed to do it going forwards, not falling backwards off of stuff. that poor Elise. Least it's not totaled like that Aston likely is. ---
  17. I've been wanting to take that trip for nearly a decade, and have been planning and mapping it at least that long, but it seems like a good bit of the Mother Road is lost to time.
  18. that'd be nice, but as I've tried mapping it, a lot of Rt. 66, namely in the southwest, has become desolate, neglected and nearly unnavigable. and I have heard unverified reports that there's a stretch in NM that is now on private property.
  19. yeah. somebody with a good liquid cash flow.
  20. yikes. what hit it, a Sherman Tank?!
  21. Oh, it's you Bob. I was neither impressed nor offended by the Altima. I thought it kind of bland.
