  1. A Factory dual quad option was available for the 283 v8, what was the brand and model of the carbs used on this setup?
  2. Yes, I'd say they all evolved from panel trucks: Suburban, Travelall and competitors from Dodge and Ford (I think) probably Studebaker and others as well
  3. You're all guilty, you know you are. :AH-HA_wink: I'm calling the thought police.
  4. No, at least not while I was looking.
  5. Thanks for posting those,WMJ. The '66 looks almost identical to our '65 except for the color and the ride height. I just remembered that my dad put Studebaker full wheel covers on ours so they wouldn't get packed with snow! Wish I had snagged those before we sold the Travelall.
  6. I really do have to go to Australia some day. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. ...Black and Blue's Jeep
  8. The one we had was a '65 with a 304. then we got a '69? Scout "Ambasador" cool two tone. then a '78 Scout Traveller with a 345 and a 4spd. Where's 68 when you need him for pics?
  9. No worries,Fly. I just wanted you to look a little deeper. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. This is my Jag. Every part you see on the floor (and more) come from it.
  11. We have a winner! I grew up with one of these monsters-manual trans, manual brakes, manual steering-we called it "The Beast". If I had a scanner I'd show it to you.
  12. You guys even crack me up in this forum!
  13. the Suburban in the 1960s and '70s and what was it called?
  14. "Hoodie" for sweatshirt It sounds like something for an infant to wear.
  15. There's a Valiant (Plymouth) Ute for sale in one of the Trader mags now. Says it is one of 2000 or something and the only one in the US. I forget the price.
  16. But I am talking about those older cars primarily(showing my age). I would include fewer and fewer models as the years went by. Chevy had a bad habit of killing every car that I loved until nothing was left various sizes of rental sedans and the Corvette. Here's hoping that those days are really gone now.
  17. It would be sooo easy to tip that thing over.
  18. I should have said "Kappa-based". Although if it is an actual car and not a chop, it would have to have been built from a Solstice I would think.
  19. Check it out http://www.autoblog.com/2006/01/29/details...healey-revival/ New_Healey.bmp
  20. Thems fightin words,Mr. Fly. Seriously, look at the nameplates I used in the question and consider all of the model years involved. Then add in the Corvette and tell me if you still believe your statement applies so broadly.
  21. It is. It was built by a dealer from a new Lemans sedan and a new El Camino in '68 to lobby Pontiac to offer it as a production model. However, The black one on the far right is also Lemans -based. Late '70s early 80s style. I like the way it looks. Now if the '68 was based on a GTO... :AH-HA_wink:

  23. I can think of a few possibilities, but it is most likely only that this info predates the cancellation. Hope I'm wrong. :AH-HA_wink:
