  1. My trouble is that I like them all. My faves are the 68-72 style like these two.
  2. I'd look for the Camaro to have the shortest wheelbase and be alone in that measurement. The rest would be split between a mid-length and full length WB. Think Holden Commodore vs. Holden Statesman.
  3. I'll buy you a beer or three later.
  4. I'm currently fixated on this one though: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-SS-El-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VERY-NICE-7...1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. Swinkles!
  7. Ahem! I beg to differ on the ass-kicking point Fly. :AH-HA_wink: 04 Monte: Part of the reason that you get hassled about your car is that Monte Carlo is a beloved nameplate of many RWD fans and they consider the FWD version to be close to a crime against humanity. Too bad that the car wasn't still called Lumina, nobody would hassle you for it.
  8. It's WXPN from the University of Pennsylvania simulcast on 2 other stations in Harrisburg and in Baltimore,MD. The are also on the web in a streaming broadcast at xpn.org . I need no other station.
  9. Not gonna happen. I've depended on trucks to make my living since '85. Not even if Hell freezes over will I buy a Japanese truck - period. GM builds a great truck, always has, and each generation improves on the last. Toyota and Nissan are groping in the dark on this one and will not succeed . This is an intensely brand-loyal category and they aren't part of the club. It takes a major advance in design for me to even consider a Ford or Dodge truck( yes I've considered and test driven both) let alone newbies like Toyota and Nissan. The Honda thing isn't even a truck and stone ugly to boot so that disqaulifies it from this debate.
  10. My '67 Delmont 88 had a 425 w/ 2 bbl, and I've seen other large BOP cruisers with 2bbl carbs and always wondered why.
  11. Nice catch, Balthazar!
  12. I wouldn't pay for XM either. But then again, I'm lucky to live where there is an excellent listener-supported radio station.
  13. Nope, not correct . 1964-1977 = A-body 1978-1988 = G body
  14. I wouldn't expect 0% on Cobalt or anything else that is doing reasonably well in the market anytime soon.
  15. I just plain don't like the G6, after seeing how far the production car fell from the inspired design of the concept, it has disappeared from my radar. I can't comment on any of the particulars of the G6 because I don't even notice the car at all. I don't think a car like that belongs in the Pontiac lineup regardless of its strong or weak points. It just doesn't fit the division. Don't forget that my last 2 new cars have been Pontiacs.
  16. Carbs?
  17. I've heard that that Alfa may come here. My vote: Holden Ute/HSV Maloo. How it should look? see my sig
  18. I was going to write a "bold predictions" editorial but Lutz keeps stealing my thunder.
  19. Interesting take on things . I don't see the situation with Zeta/GTO/Camaro the same way as you do, but your idea about the "Camaro effect" is thought provoking.
  20. That's a 73-77 GM A-body,Z. Looks like a Buick Century or Olds Cutlass. Judging by the shape of the rear quarter, I'd say it's a Cutlass.
  21. OK, who are these "grown-ups" and where do I find them.
  22. 68! When did you crunch the Camaro?
  23. Ever park a car on a slight incline and have it start to slide to the bottom on its own? Ice doesn't care which drive configuration you have - it is the anti-friction.
  24. That would be alot of chipping in, LS7s are big bucks. Besides, it just has to be an LS6 - some things are meant to be.
  25. OH well, lost out on the Camino. I was exchanging e-mails with the owner (Q&A) when someone else bought it out from under me. Bummer, but I'll just keep looking.
