Well, I never put this truck up for sale after all - I really love it. And now, it's time for a brake overhaul and some suspension work. Picture thread, anyone?

Sorry I missed this thread! I do have some experience with these...

Bummer, page is gone.

It should be firmer in all years. That said, the option sort of morphed over the years into a trim level package. When I was considering an Avalanche, Z71 was a required package to get some basic HD options I wanted and it required a sunroof! The crappy package bundles are why I vetoed the Av. So, the short answer about Z71 is that it depends on the year.

WBH were the only good-looking Avs. I loved the concept, but hated the cladded look.

Roger: The Mothertruck hasn't changed at all. It is way down on the list at the moment, but still safely tucked away. Drew: No Colorado for me, I'm thinking New Hampshire.

Well, this has been one busy year. I can't seem to find any time for my projects. And, one of my employers just passed-away, so I may not be able to complete anything prior to finding new employment and a new place to live. Nothing is certain, and I seem to be ok for now, but time will be getting short in any case. You guys haven't missed much, just an hour here and there on the wagon and ad hoc repairs on the Tahoes. If I get the chance to get serious again, I'll be sure to post up.

Great thread, guys. I love the cars of the 70s. The early ones were great right out of the box, and the rest can be easily fortified.

Drove a manual turbo bug - actually enjoyed it.

Baby steps. This is my first post anywhere using the new computer. Still insanely busy, and don't yet have the tech sorted, but the plan is still to get back here as soon as I can.

I hardly recognize the place - so much has changed. It is looking like at least one of my projects will be back in gear very soon, and I can't do a project without updating the appropriate thread with a blow-by-blow of the work and lots of pics. So I will be around starting pretty soon. It will not be right away, since I will have to switch-over to a new computer ( this one really doesn't function on C&G). Also, I need to get my camera back up and running first. That said, look for me to be showing up here more often in the near future.

Stay tuned, this project is about to be revived.

All the right options and a very attractive price!

What we all want is choice - the very thing we are denied in increasing fashion year after year.

Gah! I hate front plates! That said, I'm falling in love with the idea of living in a state that happens to be 2-plate. I think I'd just go rogue and leave the hideous front plate off.

Rumorpile: Holden To Transition Into Chevrolet After 2017

Most likely to go that way, but I can see a few factors that might argue for the branding to remain Holden. -
