  1. Yuck, couldn't disagree more...... I hate the Grill-less VW's. Gives the impression that the designers "tucked in" the hood like their 5 yr old girl before bedtime. Or like they didn't know what to put on the front and slapped on a big band-aid and looks realy plain/bland.
  2. Second that notion. The car is absolutely stunning in every way (except some parts of the interior) and I could definately see this a being a favored rwd, v-8 car to have in my books (and there aint too many since I'm not usualy a v-8 rwd type of guy) One part of the interior I realy do love though is the 4 small gauges on the center console near the shifter.
  3. No more drugs should be legal than what is already out there. (medicaly speaking) But if you want to talk about legalization or rather the decriminalization of Marijuana, it has been brought up and considered numerous times here in Canada. I highly doubt that the general public's behavior will change in any noticeable way if they did legalize marijuana and sell it at a local corner store right beside cigarettes and cigars. Same rules would aply to it as it does with every other thing in general. Can't buy unless you are of age (19 if you're in Ontario) and I'm shure they would set rules such as, you can't have more than a certain ammount on you that would be considered personal (for personal use and not to sell to others). Students smoke cigarettes and do what they are generaly not permitted in high school already such as drink on lunch breaks, smoke a joint between classes, deal other drugs and illegal mater to other fellow students. That stuff is not permited at their age (drinking and cigarettes) and not permitted at all (drugs and the dealings of) but they still do it. Same would aply if marijuana was to be legal under regulated circumstances. People would go about their day and do what they usualy do. Just that they would be able to do it legaly and not have to worry about every car roling around the corner being a cop to bust them down.
  4. Ahhhhhhhh, I've been thinking that too...... the rear end of the vert is absolutely gorgeous.
  5. As far as marijuana being a gateway drug, I pretymuch agree with the statement above.... It depends in who's hands it falls into. I know allot of ppl who smoke pot and will probably smoke pot for the rest of their lives and some of them are/ will be very succesfull and never touched anything beyond pot. On the other hand, I have seen marijuana fall into someone else's lap who doesn't have his head screwed on tight and hops to the "heavier" drugs after his tolerance for marijuana became too elevated for him to get a satisfiable buzz. Myself on the other hand, I have smoked pot in moderation since the age of 15 and in the recent years, I smoke it daily. It doesnt affect my life in a negative way, It actualy helps me sleep at night and wind down from my day. I get home from work, sometimes crack open a beer if I have some and sit down in my ofice with some light music and I proceed to light my pipe. Once that is done, I may grab my books and start reading while enjoying my beer and a cigarette and listening to a bit of music. It is like smoking a cigar for some or having their glass of scotch for others. I don't know if I'll ever stop smoking pot but I can tell you that I most definately will not do anything else mentioned in this thread that falls under the drug category (except maybe Nyquil if I have a cold ;-)
  6. Ask your mom and your sister to do an oil change. Once they admit to you they can't do it, and then you show them you can, ask them a very simple question. Who knows more on cars? Who knows more about the engineering and mechanical components of a car? Yes mother and sis, it's me and Dad. Then ask your mom. Mom, who would you rather be influenced by when buying a car, li'l sis over here who's had breakdowns after chosing her cars, or me and Dad who's had trouble free motoring for the past x amount of years? Besides, if Dad's paying for the car, he should be the one presenting your mom with options. That's how its done in our family. My dad has up to date models all lined up on a piece of paper and explains positives and negatives of each vehicle and then hops in for a test drive of each with my mom. Then my mom setles on what she likes best. Me personaly being in your position, I'd ask mom if she thinks I'll help her when something goes wrong with the car Dad and I told her never to get. (if you want to get on the heavier side of things).... if she doesnt need help finding a car that works for her, then she wont be needing help if it breaks either right? Does she trust your jugement in other situations? shje should trust your jugement in this situation just like the others...
  7. They may be years behind everyone else in their investigating but I bet they'll be the first ones to issue E85 gas pumps across the board....knowing California....
  8. haha, this is getting interesting! Ok, out with all the secrets!...hehe jk
  9. I love the way the vents operate. They are way more solid than the slat type vents...
  10. I wonder if he's getting scared of even posting in here....
  11. I think a Nomad would be an excelent Idea but not a Corvette Stingray based on the Kappa... If they want to make a Stingray, they should make it a version of the existing corvette on the same platform and with the same engine but maybe tweaked a bit..... I love the Stingray from back in the day....Not no mini version of it?!?! I love the Nomad....
  12. Saab 9000 2 door Turbo coupe concept Mid to late eighty's
  13. What would atract me to buy a 9-5 versus a 9-3 is that the 9-5 still uses Saab's 2.3L engine block design rather than the GM engine block in the new 9-3. The older powertrain is proven and is a solid engine that pulls like a train. There are a far higher ammount of performance upgrades for these engines. I am not saying that the GM engine block in the 9-3 is not good, just that it's newer and doesnt realy have many upgrades on the market for it and the overall engine is less mod-able.

    Cien

I was just going to say that..... Saw it this week end.... what prompted me to take that movie in teh videostore was the image of the Cien on the front being chaised by helicopters... Prety interesting movie too! B)
  15. Another duchebag looking for a jab in the loins. Is he expecting a corvette under every GM vehicle's skin? Come on....

  17. I have the very first NFS that came out on playstation NFS 2 for computer, NFS 3 and NSF high Stakes both PC edition. I used to be mad for NFS games.... they are realy allot of fun, I used to spend hours - even days glued to the computer screen playnig in career mode on High Stakes..... I found Grand Turismo to be too much overdone....
  18. 9-5's @ 120km/h head on:
  19. pretymuch what I noticed when I looked at the pic..... I wonder what speed they were going?
  20. against the 9-3 SS... I guess GM's epsilon platform realy lives up to the 5 star crash test rating!
  21. Ther's probably a datsun pickup or something.... with the same diesel engine found in the Maxima? that sixty8 posted.... I looked on autotrader and thers nothing...... probably not many in Canada.... Well, my dad called yesterday and seems that he found a '95 lumina off a GM dealership my neighbor works at for 2 grand...I'll probably end up with that.
  22. I drove up to my other c900 parked elswere in the parking lot on the last picture..... drives the same as before The latch on the hood actualy lines up and I can close the hood all crooked. It's closed in the pic bellow.
