  1. If the next Cobalt looks anything close to those renderings then i'd be pretty happy. I like the sharp angular lines.
  2. http://www.wheelsmag.com.au/News/HSV+names...ugh+Tourer.html HSV has just launched a wagon version of its Cubsport R8. See link for more. Imagine doing the school run in that!
  3. I remember there being quite a bit of hoo-haa over that. I mentioned sporty diesels earlier in the thread. - I forgot that you can build an Astra SRi diesel (couple, wagon and hatch) on the Vauxhall website. You feel dirty PCS? Heheh I thought you WERE dirty! Still left hooker GTS.. nice!
  4. This is becoming rather interesting: aatbloke and Camino are having a love-in on one side of the couch whilst PCS sits on the far end. Getting ready to throw a bratwurst, no doubt! To get back to topic, i'm happy that Opel has been given a cash injection and allowed to develop more product. Please let a new Calibra happen, a sporty diesel and a localised version of the GRWD platform (geez where's Santa?!). Out of interest: who has the better plastics source? GME? GMNA? GMDAT?
  5. I quite like it. Holden needs it, but won't get it.
  6. Heheh, now you're just PICKING a fight! I'm gonna sit on the counch and get comfy.
  7. This thing would sell quite well with Holden badges on it. Too bad its not RHD!
  8. And then add the supercharger kit to it...... heh heh heh.
  9. I understand what you're getting at PCS and I do agree too. I feel for Vauxhall, but understand that Opel produces damn good product - I for one am very happy with my 05 Corsa C. Vauxhall is fortunate to be able to tap into the product stream from the GM world. I do think it still exists as a brand purely for cultural and historical reasons (just like Holden does). If it weren't for that, well, we could see Chevrolet as a truly global brand in some senses (even though it mostly is). Holden has been very lucky to have the ability to produce its own product for its own market first, then be able to tailor it for export if needed. However with the economies of scale changing and manufacture of local product becoming more expensive, combined with the decline in sales of large cars here, Holden needs to change and adapt. Still, i'd love a HSV 427 in my driveway...
  10. I even brought along a few bags of chips and cartons of beer! I'll just push in a few old couches, get the BBQ fired up and we're set. Nice to see a large investment in Opel. Now, if we can get a performance oriented diesel hatch/sedan/coupe, i'd be very happy.
  11. I was going to say Uplander replacement, then I though Zafira...but... I think Chris might be on the money with this one. Roewe? Hmmm...
  12. I think they meant the Vitara, not the Swift. The Swift is a great little car, my ex-wife has one and its great fun to drive. Still... wtf?
  13. WHere is PCS on this one? TBH.. i'm not so keen on it. Its certainly more Euro-centric and therefore not suited to American tastes, but.. its a bit too bland and generic for my liking.
  14. Hell yeah! Go the Sandman baby. I actually had a father one one girl I was dating telling me point blank to not turn up to his house in one of those....
  15. Looks like a damn Ford Taurus.... Sorry, really ugly.
  16. About time there was a freakin' Diesel added.
  17. I'm a die-hard Holden man through and through.... but plastics have ALWAYS been a Holden weak point in maunfacture. Whoever supplies their plastics needs to up their game. Or Holden just needs to get a better supplier.
  18. I'd say PCS is just plain ignorant. Lets face it, he's just some low-level bitch who's pissed off that things don't go the way he wants. Instead he comes here, sprouts a shedload of BS agenda and tries to shoutdown anyone who doesn't agree with him. He would've been banned on many other boards years ago. If PCS was really dedicated to GM, he'd be enthusiatic about its decisions, be working his arse off to further the company's success and try to improve the product it already has (ie; how can we adapt the Zeta platform for GME, improve on it and make it work for them? Give Opel/Vauxhall a real alternative to BMW/Audi/Mercedes in the larger car classes?). His negativity here shows that he's not interested in contributing positively, instead he's just keen to garner attention to himself. PCS the future of GM? Then GM is dead in the water.
  19. Yes!! Am so happy fou guys, especially you Camino! I'll have one in black, lowered, 20 inch multispoke racing wheels, limo tint...
  20. That comment shows complete ignorance of the Australian marketplace and the significance of the Holden brand. Though the Captiva does suck.
  21. Damn. *faints* Love it. One in black, limo tint with black 15 spoke racing wheels. Bloody HOT!
  22. At least they're giving it a crack. I don't mind it. Though i'd prefer a bio-diesel hybrod myself (run it on leftover oil from the local KFC)...
  23. On the truck, Top Row (left to right): WM Holden Caprice, Holden Commodore SS (different wheels than usual, Lumina LTZ?), Chevrolet Camaro, HSV Maloo (c'mon guys, get the name right!! Its known as a HSV, not a Holden) Botton row (left to right): Hollden Commodore SS Sportswagon, HSV GTS, Holden Commodore SS, Chevrolet Camaro. The HSV's would be there powertrain/suspension work as well as more cold weather testing (Vauxhall are interested in more HSV variants) , the remainder for comparison with the Camaro, data gathering and cold weather testing (Opel still interested in the Caprice?)
  24. Heh, thats a good thing, believe me! TBH, I can't wait to see you guys get the Ute.
