  2. Damn straight I take pride in my work.. If I didn't work hard I wouldn't have doubled my salary and gone from me being a one man IT department of a $15M company to VP of the same $70M company. But even where I work, 6 years ago when we were unhappy with IBM servers, we used a Compaq internally for a few years. And though I build custom PC's for myself and use a Mac too at home, I do only use the company ThinkPad around the office.
  3. Meh I work for an IBM distributor but won't buy an IBM PC. Unless they heaviliy subsidize, I'm inclined to get what I want regardless of where I work.
  4. Looks like their priority on the interior was to build one that could fit the corporate radio. It looks like patchwork. Yech.
  5. Off topic, but damn the interior looks good in that photo.
  6. Ah... I remember the days of moving to Waterloo and back to Toronto every four months for almost 5 years, that was enough moving for a lifetime :-). Anyways, I would go for an HHR as it would make those moves more bearable. Or a Vibe AWD on the more expensive side of things.
  7. See GM, even the press can get behind you when you build appealing top of class cars.
  8. Hehe sounds like they just made up stuff/name dropped models thinking it sounded impressive. Imagine if they did it for a Corvette ad.
  9. 12 months is a really aggressive target, I would think 18 is tough, but 12? Good luck on that one. Scary if they can pull it off and product quality products.
  10. It looks sweet!! Just doesn't appear to have much utility.
  11. I really dislike the whole comparing charitable donations thing.. I wish they would all just say nothing or just leave it at "they donated". Then again I hate shows like Extreme House Makeover too, doing charity for the camera and ratings they wouldn't be doing otherwise.
  12. Looking forward to seeing the real thing
  13. I don't think I've seen a Rabbit around for a long time... Saw a Chevette just the other day.
  14. According to the first post, the Caddy was 35% more expensive than the BMW, so this comparison isn't very fair.
  15. Grrr the Malibu.. GM had its chance with the homely 2001/2002 Camcorder designs but thats the best they could do, now that just pisses me off thinking about it.
  16. Damn $800K to rent a spot for a party for one day?? Must be nice to have that kind of money to splurge.
  17. Damn that 89 Bimmer is nice.
  18. If they can do it well and sell it cheaper by a good margin than a WRX with similar performance, they should. Otherwise, who is going to buy it vs the established WRX and Lancer?

The EL probably exists here because Canadians do tend to buy compact cars like crazy/more than midsize and Honda only has the one really. RSX style 4 door, hmmm that could be pretty slick or nasty.

I wonder if the next Canada only "Acura EL" will get those Euro Civic attributes. Wheels are same awful ones.
  21. Just a little less refined, whether its the steering feel, the engine smoothness, or chasis and suspension.
  22. Too close to call without driving them back to back.
  23. Sounds like you're near my folks place where I grew up (meadowvale rd/port union area).
  24. Used to rent for $1050 a month for a 1 bedroom, Bought/have had a mortgage for 3 years now, total monthly after property tax is about $1300, but I overpay about $400 on top of that to pay it down.
  25. Looks like it has as much room in the back as the average W-body.
