  1. They seem to be struggling a bit to figure out a family look for their front ends. To me thats the only weak part of the exterior of this car.
  2. I think the people on the VW forum are ridiculing it as much as they can.. its the SF Chronicle that is the nut job.
  3. I don't see this as competitive with F&F crowd cars, I mean being epsilon this must weigh 800 lbs more than cars that crowd would look at.
  4. Silver pics look much better, somehow red/orange one the details are lost from far, looks like a BLS almost. Little surprised there isn't a hand brake this time around.
  5. An answer to a question no one asked. I'd rather they just put the 3.5L in a regular Torrent and fixed the interior.
  6. So tacky :-( The orange one is so much nicer.
  7. LOL did they think the little thing on the front quarter panels would make people mistake it for an m3?
  8. Gotta love this feature...
  9. Wow the lower stance and ground effects make this thing look tiny, not a fan.
  10. Wow look at that interior. Not thrilled with the black center console radio/hvac with the silver surround look but the rest of it is looking just about right.
  11. Anyone who's been to previous ones and the Toronto Autoshow who can comment how much bigger the Detroit one is/how much longer it takes to go through all else being equal? I'm probably going but trying to figure out whether to plan doing the drive back and forth along with the show in one day.
  12. Hmm on my next vehicle? Monotone gray dash Poor steering feedback Feeling engine shake through steering wheel. Plastic wheel covers Expanse of plood on dash Vinyl steering wheel/shift knob Black sideview mirrors on non-black or dark blue vehicle Dash or door rattles Over the top suspension travel over dips and humps on the highway Cheap leather or bad badly patterned cloth seats
  13. A couple glasses of wine and shot of cuervo at midnight..
  14. I really enjoyed The Departed, Blood Diamonds, Babel and Casino Royale.. The first three are definitely good dramas (though there is a bit of action/suspense in the departed). The Departed is a Scorcese directed remake of the HK movie Infernal Affairs. The Good Shepherd was a well made movie but you have to be in the right mindset. If you don't catch the nuances and some of the dialog in this 2 hour and 40 minute movie, its impact will be lost.
  15. The more I look at the side profile its like a TSX and its smooth look merged with a TL's profile
  16. LOL just noticed this topic. Delivers "Pontiac performance"? Whatever that means these days.
  17. I like it, its night and day a better effort than the current Bu and Impala. I won't get too excited for it until I see the new Accord. But this has got to sell better in the retail market than their current sedans. And less chrome than the Aura!! I would have loved for it to have LED tails.
  18. All that and she wants to end poverty/hunger and bring on world peace, sounds good to me. Pageant culture just seems like bizzaro world to me. I can't imagine it being much better than portrayed in "Little Miss Sunshine"
  19. In general I think the retail market has spoken well and is pretty accurate in sales #'s corresponding to the quality of cars that meet peoples needs... (Fleet sales excluded). But these cars I'm not sure why they sell as well as they do.. 1. Toyota Camry... Mmmm wonder bread 2. Chrysler 300... Whats with the interior.. 3. Toyota Corolla... Mmmm wonder bread 4. Pontiac Solstice... Not as good looking as the Sky, and not all that well designed other than exterior. 5. Toyota Prius... No explanation required 6. Mini Cooper... That interior... yikes 7. Hyundai Sonata.. Another interior to die from 8. Nissan 350z.. I want to like it but too many angles and the interior leave me cold 9. Porsche Cayenne.. A Porsche SUV?! 10. Ford Mustang... Wish it had a bit of a harder edge performance wise without having to go beyond the GT price wise.
  20. I'm sure Saab and Opel articles in Europe don't say "Michigan based automaker"...
  21. I seriously doubt the Accord was a 6 or it would have aced the acceleration test and not the fuel economy one.
  22. I'm eager to read the whole article to read what they said about the Aura. Result reminds me of Edmunds comparo back in 1998 of the Intrigue vs Camry, Accord etc.
  23. What a pile the Aveo is, so is the other Korean
  24. I find myself liking the very nice truck interior style of the Ford (except the steering wheel) vs the improved Lucerne look of the Tahoe interior.
  25. If you drive somewhere where everything isn't just straight roads, manuals are especially advantageous and fun.
