    Dream job?

    +1
  2. Weren't all those vehicles and the current Lacrosse total duds in the retail market as well?! Vehicles that looked and felt 5 years older than the competition.
  3. If they take it off its stilts, improve the front lower fascia so it doesn't look like a rental fleet car, and also give it something better than 1995 style huge sidewall profile wheel/tire combo tires it won't look so bad. I think the SUV'ish ride height and those features are what make it look really dated to me. It for sure doesn't look like an entry lux car in the spy shot, base trim or not.
  4. First thing I thought of when I saw it was Chevy Captiva
  5. I hope by the time people go over the warranty period, the batteries will be a lot cheaper to manufacture and acquire. This is not meant to be a vehicle for people who rack up a lot of clicks quickly right?
  6. I drove a rental Versa for about 3 days a few months ago out west including the very scenic drive from Vancouver to Whistler. It had decent pep from 0-40mph and roominess up front, but was sprung way too softly IMO.
  7. GF is in Montreal for a week so I have been driving her TSX exclusively... got 28.5mpg 50/50 mixed city/highway driving last tank.
  8. Do anyone but the Germans do well in the RL segment?
  9. I'm pretty sure you can buy the fake metal plastic trim pieces to replace the plood if desired for ~$100. Saw it on an online store recently.
  10. I just noticed from those pics the G6 coupe looks like it has an almost SUV-like riding height and needs to be dropped an inch and a half.
  11. A friend of mine relocated to Barbados and drives the RHD equivalent of the Suzuki SX4 Sedan. I spent a week there last month. Its a very good little car IMO. There were tonnes of Suzukis on the island, including a lot of current gen Grand Vitaras in 2 door form.
  12. New TSX's best selling feature may be the diesel variant if/when it arrives.

    RC Cars

I built a few Tamiya's when I was 15 or so.. It was a fun but too expensive hobby for me a the time.
  14. It looks dated already, a car that would not lower the age of their buying demographic one bit. I hope this is not the real deal.
  15. Live in Mississauga, Ontario. Large suburb (pop ~700,000) of Toronto that has developed over the last 35 years. With much of its population not being here for more than 20 years, you don't here people whining looking back and pining for "the good old days". Very multicultural, about 50% white and shrinking, with Indian and Chinese heritage making up the largest other groups in that order. Roughly half of the population was not born in Canada. Its a very safe city with very low violent crime for its size, one of the lowest in Canada, though it has had a lot of grow op busts over the years (recreational marijuana use is no big deal here if not flaunted ). Median family income is almost $100K. This weekend Muslim fest is happening across the street from where I live, as well as a GM ride and drive event kitty corner from that. No religion dominates, no culture or traditions dominate, not a conservative city socially or politically. Go further west of Mississauga to Oakville and Burlington and you end up in Ontario's bible belt which I try to avoid. Though it is a suburb of Toronto, its actually a net importer of employees. More people commute in to Mississauga to work than commute out of it to work. I live across the street from city hall. The webcams are overlooking Muslim fest this weekend (Aug 9/10). Looking forward to checking that out along with ride and drive today (I hope the G8 is there!) http://www.mississauga.ca/portal/discover/webcam1
  16. The old one is just the right large compact size. The new one is too big, thats what the TL is for! The new TSX is a full 8 inches longer than the 3 series! Whats next, Camry/American Accord boat sized? I've not seen an article saying the new one is funner to drive than the old one. More than a couple that suggust the other way around is true. So for enthusiast type reviews that value fun factor over a few luxury touches, its not surprising.
  17. I would never spend 34K on a FWD sedan with poor weight distrubution, made by Acura or GM or whoever. For that money I want a car that can go almost 55mph without a so much as a chirp from the tires before the onramp straigtens out, not one that understeers so much you've got to wait till it straightens before you can accelerate past 40mph.
  18. The post that made me question it and you referred to was downright crazy and pathetic.
  19. Ummm where has it been established that this guy was an illegal immigrant?!
  20. Its just ugly enough so that the people driving them don't need huge HYBRID badges to brag about their hybrid habit. I won't be the least bit surprised if Toyota comes out with a mass market available plugin model befor the Volt is available for purchase by anyone. Honda may steal a good chunk of their thunder with their next round of hybrids though.
  21. I'd rather they just stopped marketing the Pontiac name than make the g5 and g6 replacements straight Chevy rebadges.
  22. CTS/Vette/Sky/G8 in that order of preference are GM's I would puchase in their respective segments. Hoping this list grows annually.
  23. Co-worker has a 2008 Accord with the 190hp 4 banger, and it is quite refined as well. Idle isn't as quiet as a good v6 (OHV GM's don't qualify) but no vibration.
  24. How about Pontiac getting the sportier version next time around. RE: TSX/9-3 etc competitor, I'm not sure a smaller platforméshorter wheelbase than the current 9-3 could pull it off well. I suppose anything is possible if they sink enough money into the suspension components.
  25. 99 Intrigue 3.5L 23mpg 06 TSX 27mpg
