  1. Hey as long as it handles atleast as well and gives the driver equal or better feedback than other FWD sporty sedans like the Jetta, Passat and TSX then it deserves a look. Especially if they have an interior option that excludes wood or fake wood.
  2. Current GF is 4 years younger than me and we have no issues regarding that gap obviously (both being in our 30's). Last two girlfriends were 9 years younger than me and 8 years younger than me. Sure they made me feel youthful and energetic and playful initially, but as the relationships matured on, I got tired of always feeling like I was the one with more wisdom in the relationship and like I was teaching them at times (and I'm not talking about sex), and not being challenged enough on my ideas. I'm really not as smart as they would say I was, just had more life experience.
  3. Oldsmobile Cadillac Chevy Saturn Pontiac Buick GMC Obviously none of them have managed to build consistently average or above average models the last 30 years across their lineups but of the last 30 years I probably admired Oldsmobile's design the most the last 20 it was around and Chevy has always had the Vette.
  4. People only interested in giving their opinions and tune out or interrupt everyone else who tries to contribute.
  5. When I think white i think of Miami Vice
  6. Depends on the car but mostly dark blue metallic and dark grey metallic
  7. I test drove a previous gen Legacy GT with a manual tranny, that was a pretty sweet ride. Much more engaging than any flavour of Malibu. Not sure about the new gen.
  8. Hahaha I'm a Pentax shooter too, I just received my K7 a few days back :-). Hope to do a lot of shooting this weekend.
  9. Unless you need video or the more rugged body of the 50D, look for a deal on an XSi and use the money you save on better glass.. I would skip the kit lens and go for the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 or Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5 as your walkaround lens.
  10. I don't really care about it having more power than 220hp, what I'm interested in seeing is it being the best handling FWD sedan with the best feedback to the driver. A car you can enter turns at a high enough speed your passenger thinks you're going to die, and it gets through it with nary a tire chirp.
  11. Well the front and rear are rental car boring in style but other than that the interior is cool and atleast the platform will still be here in some way.
  12. I've actually come to accept the interior.. I think nicer door skins would be a relatively inexpensive fix but other than that, it is what it is and it'll do. As others have mentioned, its not tuned to be the most direct feeling car on the road in these days of 1 and 3 series Bimmers, Mustangs, Mini Coopers, Miata, 370z etc. So it won't be a car I would buy but for people whom that is not a top priority its very solid.
  13. I absolutely hate the silver plastic center stack trend that is happening. ugh.
  14. Honda really was at their peak as compared to what other manufacturers were putting out in the late 80s to mid 90's.
  15. I thought the early-mid 90's Accord and Integra sedans were really good cars. Loved how relatively low to the ground they were and had good feedback for the driver considering their pricing. They were distinct, it was before they got too concerned with conforming to American preferences.
  16. I remember friends riding in the 86 Gutless Ciera hand me down I had for a few years, trying to apply pressure to various parts of the dash to stop it from rattling while we were on road trips. My father's 95 intrepid had a really bad airbag cover on the passenger side that started curling up badly by the time it was 5 year old.
  17. The one that talks the least, excluding the tall not so attractive one.
  18. I didn't know Accords with leather, dual zone climate, cd changer, navigation etc were less than 20K, that is quite a well equipped car for the price.
  19. I don't really see the appeal of the bigger ones, I'd rather just get a minivan and its sliding doors if I needed a people mover and had > 2 kids. Sorry there is not really a "coolness" factor in a fullsize CUV vs a minivan. Hot women don't really turn heads to see who is driving that CUV. The ones that are similar to midsize sedan in footprint or smaller yet offer more cargo capability without much of a mpg penalty or driving a rolling kleenex box I can see the use for. To be honest the Venza is about the right size and priced well IMO, but has a silly grill spoiling an otherwise handsome design (far better than the Camry).
  20. I work just down the street from a Ford plant... on my way back from lunch I saw a disturbing amount of completed Ford crossovers filling their lot. I do get to see a lot of Mustangs and lately a few Taurus coming and going from the plant. Camaro sightings have been sparse for me but so have Genesis coupes.
  21. No wood or plood in the interior, no cushy soft seats, more feel and feedback for driver, lower ride height, dark gray or black interior, not heavy for class, less exterior chrome, 50 or lower profile tires. Manual trannies available. I'm not holding my breath.
  22. Anyone who has to tell a story that reminds them of something that we just talked about or just occured in the office, work related or not... So annoying! "That reminds me of the time I....". Of course, you hear the same stories over the years and they always seem to exaggerate certain parts of it to the point of total BS.
  23. I agree the Accord coupe is fugly too, Solara, Monte as well. Just not a segment I have liked anything in for some time I guess. I guess I thought the more angular Accord coupe of the late 90's/early 2k looked decent. Would rather just get a v6 pony car if I wanted a cheap'ish coupe.
  24. My daily driver
  25. As others have mentioned, its the interior and the heavy car feeling that dimmed my enthusiasm for this car. I felt it could have been a little more responsive to steering input but that it has a lot of weight to make feel tossable like say a Corvette manages to. I was pretty sure it had the sitting in a bathtub feeling going in, its always been that way as opposed the the Stang.
