  1. Civic Si with the 2.4L doesn't come with an automatic either but you can get NAV. The upgraded trim, sound deadening and removal of sport suspension are not worth an extra 5 grand.
  2. I finally drove a Verano, though not a turbo a few days ago. Wanted to like it because the value, quiet and quality of materials but the driving experience was decidedly biased towards comfort and isolation, in the way an ES350 or Lacrosse would be IMO, but a little more agile feeling due to the smaller size. If they offered a firmer sport suspension/tires on the turbo as an option down the line maybe I'll take one for a spin, or look for availability of aftermarket options.
  3. Been taking advantage of Costco gas lately, 10% savings or so up here on premium.
  4. Bloatware is a fact of life for unrooted, carrier obtained non-Nexus Android devices unfortunately.
  5. I still love my Galaxy Note 1/N7000. Running a leaked JB Rom before the official one arrives in the next month or so and with a new battery (old one went downhill after about a year), I'm getting 2 days out of it now, 3-4 hrs screen time with 100+ push emails a day no problem.
  6. I wouldn't hold out for "driving dynamics" in < 30K sedans in this age of tall gear ratios, low rolling resistance tires, electric steering, CVT's.... Atleast not from the biggest, profitable auto makers.
  7. I would love to own this car.
  8. While it would have been nice to have the diesel available in the CX-5 as well, atleast having the 2.5L available will make its acceleration class competitive to go along with the handling.
  9. Put the ILX interior in it and I'll be impressed.. But that isn't happening
  10. I could only see myself considering 33K for a Verano Turbo if it had a sport suspension to enjoy the power with.
  11. Uhm... where are you commuting? I live in Toronto Ok.. but I don't think the Trax is even in production yet. Yeah I was very surprised, not like I was near any GM offices.. Wish I came across it in a parking lot and not going 70 in traffic.
  12. Uhm... where are you commuting? I live in Toronto
  13. The current Sonata and Optima use timing chains.
  14. Passed a Trax on the morning commute today. Looks decent. Should do better than the Buick here given its more affordable price.
  15. A few design elements I'm not keen on (colors mostly) but otherwise pretty well maintained for a 100 year old home. Would be over a million in my neighbourhood.
  16. Wax the rims to make the dust come off easier... Or clean them with turtle wax rim cleaner once every two to three weeks at the local "clean your own" car wash. I've had to use the rim cleaner ever since I installed EBC yellowstuff pads.
  17. The 18 year old driver has passed away.
  18. The restaurant portions are for sure noticeably bigger in the US than Canada from what I've seen. My wife is from Korea, since I met her I've been eating super healthy, it's ridiculous... But it's a good thing.
  19. I concure that the Tiquan, Rav and CRV are turds as FWD appliances. I see no reason for them to exist since they truly have no benefit beyond sitting higher since they do not have true cuv/suv on road/off road capabilities. LOL yet the Encore is a "great CUV" for your parents? Did I miss something about its capabilities over the much larger compact CUV's?
  20. Caught an early to mid 80's Audi Quattro today on the commute home. I remember liking them back then as a kid.
  21. The interior is pretty decent, quite a bit better than the previous generation which was almost like an uplevel Pontiac G6. The handling was good for its class.. Low weight helped make it funner than I expected. Still not used to the acceleration from stop of of CVT.
  22. For sure, the compromise of trunk space and flexibility is just too much. The 2.5L Verano may not be as attractive but seems like a better deal now.
  23. It's like the Buick reincarnation of the Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix, just a little smaller.. I cannot bring myself to call it a CUV but I guess any hatchback with a few extra inches ground clearance is one these days.
  24. The 2.0 will probably feel right at home as the base motor in the lower and lighter ~3000lb 2013 Mazda6.
  25. Not yet But they've said it'll be in North America by early 2013
