  1. One of the big complaints about the 2.4L option is you could not get it with the tech package. I think that is being remedied. Still not impressed by the suspension tuning though. More engaging than the Buick but not near our 6 year old TSX.
  2. Not the case in Japan.. Anyways, transit is so developed and cars are so expensive to own over there, the transition in interest to tech gadgets, fashion, travel etc at the expense of things like cars is just further ahead than here.
  3. Interesting as I would think this segment has been the fastest growing as far as # of models available the last 5 years, at least in North America. Even Buick has one.
  4. Congrats on the new car. My wife is watching a Korean drama in which one of the main characters drives this car in the same colour, and she mentioned she really likes the car and asks how expensive it is (she is a small car lover).
  5. That is chunky, indeed same weight give or take 100lbs as a lot of midsizers like the Altima, Accord, Mazda6.
  6. Same technique is used prevalently in the software and hardware appliance world to unlock features or user counts.
  7. Cheapest AMG yet? That's some pretty nice performance #'s for under 50K, decent fuel economy and northern clime friendly AWD.
  8. Well it should be on their new flexible platform that the Golf uses.. Shouldn't matter as long as it is a great platform I wonder what the weight is on the S3, seems decent for 40K.
  9. So it gets the new 2.0 turbo, modern tech/entertainment, and AWD availability, sounds good, hopefully pricing doesn't jump.
  10. While I prefer the updated Civic Coupe over the Elantra coupe, seeing it reminds me GM should have an option for the "econo" coupe shoppers.
  11. Very nice, nothing surprising though. Snapped by a former forum regular too
  12. Is there is a LARGE difference in ride quality between the 2 and 4 door due to the wheelbase difference?
  13. Beetle TDI, no question...
  14. As appealing as the Ford and Honda are for family sedans.. I think I would end up going with the other car I would put in the top 3, the Mazda6 so as not to end up with a car I see every 30 seconds on the road within a few years or walk towards in a parking lot then realize it's not my car.
  15. Based on the minor visual updates of a 5 year old design this does nothing for me, regardless of interior or specs (well maybe if it has managed to shed 300lbs since the g8...)
  16. She really doesn't like driving anything but small cars. Evoque would be a good choice for my wife or maybe something a little silly like a Mini inspired by Goodwood. She really doesn't like driving anything but small cars.
  17. Very nice review. This is a car I'd love to try out. Have to wonder at low 30's, how a car likethe TSX (probably well discounted at this point) would compare to the loaded 4 banger midsizes. Haven't driven the current gen either. I think the engine in this car will be a VERY welcome addition to the CX-5.
  18. Looks like Mad Max revisited.
  19. Nice review. I like this much better than the previous 6 series that looked obese, especially the rear end.
  20. I saw a new clean Fusion on the road yesterday, and all I could think of as it drove past was.. it is hopeless for the Malibu.

    CX-5 maybe...
  22. I used to have a thing for Kristin Kreuk.. Still do a little I guess because yesterday afternoon I was in a tiny independent coffee shop near my home in the high park area and she came in to grab one to go. My heart rate kind of accelerated .
  23. In North America that is the case, unfortunately not true in much of the rest of the world.
  24. Not sure how it will turn out overall, but looking forward to seeing the styling inside and out.
  25. It is one of the actions of a racist person, but it's not enough to identify someone as racist. I'm married to a Korean woman, and I'm sure her parents would have preferred she married a Korean doctor, but they're happy because she's happy. Growing up, being of mixed backgrounds myself, I encountered a lot of parents who were uncomfortable with their daughters dating someone who had an asian background. Twenty+ years later I'm sure much of that sentiment is still around despite the more diverse population (immigrants being just as prone if not more). I know many who do it for cultural/religion reasons too (Jewish, Hindu, Muslim etc), but they have lots of friends outside of their religion.
