I much prefer the Crosstrek but this should do well. -
Most Improved Cars of the Last 10 years by MSN.

Kias would be the obvious pick to me. -
Other than special exceptions like a baby in the house, overall work stress is my biggest detriment to sleep as well and has been bad this year. It sucks thinking you have so much to do that you're not doing a good job. My back is ok but I get stiff neck from stress and need the special contoured pillow to control it. Other than that, I'm good with 7 hours a night on average and suck at taking naps.

Hmmm not buying the price as low as "about 30 grand" to get yourself one.

Input on new tires for my '08 Pontiac G6

I am considering the DWS as well, but I read some complaints about bubbling on them.. I live in an area with very old roads, lots of potholes they are not always prompt fixing. Right now with the rough winter we've had it is like an obstacle course out there. Atleast they put pylons in the huge ones to warn drivers. If you want all seasons, you can't go wrong with Continental Extreme Contact DWS. I had these on my Saab 9-5 Aero and they were EXCELLENT tires. They weren't cheap but they performed VERY well in all conditions and were very quiet. The car had a new set of Fuzions on it when I bought it but they were super loud. The -

I'm in need of new tires as well on the TSX.. I have been using summer tires but my commute is longer now. I'm leaning towards Continental PureContacts. -
I have a colleague who does Project and Portfolio Management contract gigs, and has traveled all over the world doing so for 20+ years. He did one at GM in Michigan pre bankruptcy and said it was the most backwards thinking place he had ever worked. Filled with lifers intent on keeping their jobs the way they were, very few were interested in changing how things were done. Hopefully that culture is eradicated but I'm sure there are still a lot of long term GM white collar workers in the joint who had an inkling of what was going on back then. Looks like Barra was VP of global manufacturing and engineering from 2004-2008.

Acura News: Honda Separates Acura To Help Revitalize The Brand
frogger replied to William Maley's topic in Acura
It has probably been a decade since they released sedans that were very well received. -
They lost their mojo with the previous gen but this gets them right back up there, not much you could fault it for.

Loading up a compact with options is not a financially good move, lots of options at 25K like the Optima, Accord Sport etc if you are ok with a larger car, or Verano if you are ok with below average fuel economy.

I actual think it looks pretty good. Better than the 3 and 5 series sedan due to being less conventional. Dumb name though.

Teased: 2015 Subaru Legacy: Comments
frogger replied to William Maley's topic in Chicago Auto Show (CAS)
Very disappointing in pics. This is the company that had the "mediocrity" campaign a few years ago, and the design of pretty much all of their vehicles is 100% mediocre.- 7 replies

Nice review! This car checks all the boxes you could ask for in its segment for its price, except the exterior styling is a bit bland. Not that the competition is a bunch of lookers.

Young people who bought coupes that drove like sedans are probably buying compact SUV's.. Much more practical for road tripping, don't need to replace them if they start a family.

Industry News: Study: Gen Y Wants Cars... When They Can Afford Them
frogger replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
For city people with access to good transit and not a tonne of disposable income, cars make less sense each passing year with the increasing cost of ownership. Better to rent by the day or hour when needed, spend money on investments and travel.- 86 replies

Not perfect, but looks pretty damn good in pictures. I wish there was an engine between the 2.4L and 3.6L but maybe the 2.4L will surprise me with the 9 speed.

If that article is correct, that Ostendo only has 2880x900 resolution, pretty limiting especially the 900 vertical.

It looks good, but in a Hyundai way, feels like a bunch of other design elements from other cars are combined. Way better than the current offering, but it is a very crowded segment to attempt to become a sales leader in. Look what happened to the Dart.

As SMK mentioned, I don't think GS mixes at all with the current feel of driving a Verano or LaCrosse. Are they really going to work on re-tuning the suspension and weight reduction to make them handle like sportier FWD sedans, say an Audi S3, Mercedes CLA 45 or Acura TL SHAWD this late into their current model runs? Maybe next refresh.

Hyundai News:Spied and Previewed: 2015 Hyundai Genesis
frogger replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Hyundai
If this stays pretty close to the same price as the current generation, I'm actually impressed. Looks like a big improvement in looks inside and out. Not stunning, still a lot of borrowed styling cues but overall pretty handsome. -
To me the design of most CUV's these days still shares the basic theme of the first generation Murano.

Ahh my lovely mayor, I live a few blocks from him. Feels like I cannot get a coffee at work without having to talk about his silly antics. Ps Colombia....
