  1. Also, these days auto transmissions tuned for fuel economy in these mainstream cars, quick to upshift, slow to downshift... Yummy.
  2. You gotta pay if you want some performance in your family hauler.. $30K+ for cars that don't need incentives to sell. Honda doesn't offer an LX trim 2.0T, Nissan doesn't offer a cheap 3.5S Altima, no Camry 3.5 LE etc... These days the third powertrain option for mainstream sedans is a hybrid.
  3. I like that VW gives a 1.8 as standard on the Golf variations here vs the 1.4 on the cheaper Jettas, I wonder if they do that in many markets.
  4. Finally the Prius is a decent driving car but then they had to go style it while on crack.
  5. Wonder if the RDX will get SH-AWD this time around to go with an engine similar to that of the Civic Type-R.
  6. The current Civic Type R has a drag coefficient of 0.26, so this car should have some pretty good aero despite the normalized look.
  7. Basically a high end Civic Hybrid. Looks like they they polished some of the polarizing elements of the Civic. What a next gen "Acura ILX" might have been...
  8. It looks like they might be trying to compete more with the Maxima. How about an AWD PHEV Toyota Avalon?
  9. No garages in my area big enough to fit anything larger than a midsize car, unless the house was rebuilt. I suspect the small garages/large sheds house more raccoons than cars overall at this point.
  10. Exterior looks like a flattering render of what was leaked in the summer.. https://www.thetorquereport.com/volkswagen/new-volkswagen-jetta-leaked/
  11. I wonder if AWD changes the numbers much. In Canada I think AWD is standard, 80% of power to the rear. I really love the SS, but it never sold here so this Kia is pretty awesome to me.
  12. Bodes well for Subaru and AWD preferring EV fans.
  13. The C-HR is small and unconventional enough (and the RAV4 big enough) that there is room for something in between them.. The concepts were not all that mainstream but the FT-4X is probably closest to the end result.
  14. First sighting of a Kia Stinger on the road for me yesterday. Looks sharp in black.
  15. Seems like a good deal especially if you live somewhere car insurance is relatively expensive.
  16. Few if any cars this small are good looking IMO.. This keeps up that trend. The dash looks nice for its class.
  17. Kia styling is right up there. I was watching some Stinger GT videos last night and for the price it seems like a winner.
  18. Saw a bunch of these Great Wall Wingles during a day in Belize last week
  19. I loved my colleague's GSR back then, it was a tonne of fun driving it on some lunch breaks. I'm still going to go modern and pick a Volt for myself at this point though.
  20. It is nice and all but surely a bigger refresh is coming, 2018 is the 5th model year of this version.
  21. Basically a Subaru Honda Pilot. I'm guessing the new Forester will just be a slightly downsized version of this but with a sad combination of NA 4 banger mated to a CVT like most of their vehicles.
  22. Hopefully not let down by a lame engine/CVT combo.
  23. Ridiculous in a good way, hope they can pull it off.
  24. It would sell well here if priced cheap cheap cheap.
  25. Yes I made sure it works with the adblocker off and the site is whitelisted again. Thanks
