  1. And I though Toyotas current vehicles were ugly. This takes the cake as the worlds biggest abomination in car design. If they let this one out they just committed suicide.
  2. It's the 02-07 model with decontented bodyside moldings(a given with these dull boring new cars these days) and a Mercury Milan grille that looks so un Toyota-like. How totally un-original! Toyotas stylist need to send there children home and instead contract new designers.
  3. And like most current Asian products, the current BMW's bland/odd exterior styling is terrible too!
  4. The numer of buttons on the interior is insane and the boring charcoal/gray interior is really starting to grow tiresome to me. It's time for some color to be brought back into the interiors and some choice. Neither fish nor foll, this new Acura will hardly set the world on fire but it surely won't offend the modern yuppie crowd.
  5. I have noticed how poorly these Korean cars are holding up on the used car lots. Scruffy looking wheels, broken pieces of plastic, worn off paint here and there, rattles etc. I even saw a used 2002 Sonota that was starting to rust in the rear wheel wells and a Kia minivan that had a rusting tailgate.
  6. The interior looks ok but the exterior is a forgettable mess! WHy does every damn new car that comes out have to copy the Asian bland theme. The previous Elentra had a protective door molding, why not this one? The shape just looks odd and bland at the same time. Hopefully this is not the current theme Hyundai will be using on there future products.
  7. That scares me that the ony automatic will be the CVT. The replacement cost for these must be astronomical when the 3/36 runs out. In other ways this car does impress but it looks so similar to the old one that most people won't probably notice.
  8. They both have terrible interiors but the SI version of the sedan looks ok on the outside.
  9. The perfect truck for the uninformed yuppie chick!
  10. The putridification of Toyota is almost complete. Now all they have to do is ruin the Corolla, one of the only normal looking Toyotas left, to make the portfolio complete.
  11. Lol! The Avalon is so mis-proportioned and bland looking as to be almost comical. The sides of the vehicle look like a huge slap of blah! Other than more V6 hp and a high price tag and questional reliabilty what does this car do better than anything else?
  12. Buicks 2007 lineup save the Lucerne is a joke and even the Lucerne has issues! A rebadged Bravada, the fugly Rendevous, the CSV dud, no more AWD on the van or Rendevous, same old dated 3800/4 speed powertrains and a lackluster LaCrosse round out the blandness. Of course GM's stupidity in renaming every single vehicle to try and confuse the customer didn't help either. Neither did over pricing the LaCrosse and Ranier initially. A detuned 3800 on the flagship was suicidal and not offering the same features as your entry level car on a vehicle that can almost push 40K is just baffling. Is it really surprising that this division is on life support with doctor evil Toyota ready to pull out the plug!
  13. I would get that thing on a scanner and see if any codes are coming up. Autozone will do it for free. It's interesting how the lack of passenger side key slot was brought up. It's not just the base model that lacks this but all Impalas and Monte Carlos built from 2004 on up. While GM was at it they also eliminated the cigarette lighter and ashtray, floor shift indicators for cars with the bucket seat option and the glove box light dissappears too! The Monte Carlo got hit even worse by losing it's bodyside protective moldings and the trunk key slot is gone from 2005 on up! So if your battery ever dies forget about getting into your trunk! GM should be bitch slapped hard for these omissions. I mean how can a 13K Cobalt have floor shift indicators, optional bodyside moldings and a trunk key slot but not a 25K Monte Carlo?
  14. They shouldn't even be allowed to install such huge tires and rims on cars. Not only does it totally throw off the speedometers but it totally alters the ride and handling of the said vehicle, often requires altering the wheel wells and many places like Pep Boys refuse to even work on them and will only install factory spec tire sizes. What an eye sore!
  15. The worst problem I have with this car is the lack of a performance engine option in a Pontiac! The Chevy has the performance option but the Pontiac excitement division does not! Whoever made this decision should be hung by his nuts for 24 hours!
  16. I think it would be a good idea. Something that i can't say of Jeeps latest efforts uh cough splutter Compass!
  17. The 3900 in my buddys 2006 Impala had the 242 hp motor not the 2007 AFM 233 version.
  18. Much better looking than any Toyota or Nissan pickup! Can't wait to see it in the sheetmetal.
  19. I would take a 1995 first year Aurora over the butt ugly, gutless 4 cylinder deathtrap Camry any day of the year. Sure they have issues too but it was never in the acceleration or transmission shifting department. What good is a car that can't get out of it's own way when you need it to. All this talk of how popular the Camry is and that GM's are worthless junk really cracks me up. Sort of reminds me of Hitler. Sure the vast majority of Germans followed him but did that make them right? I think not!!!!!!
  20. Was curious if changing from the 2.80 axle to the new lower 2.48 impacted power much. It sure looks like it helped mileage with the new 19/26 rating on FWD and 18/25 with AWD!
  21. Can only wish for: floor shift indicators, glove box light, padding on the door armrests and dash, more interior color choices, telescoping steering column from the LaCrosse, less engine noise from the 3500 and 3900 motors, more rear seat leg room, better looking, more distinctive tail lights, 6 speed automatic tranny, AFM on 3500 for 35 mpg highway rating In reality changes for 08: new colors, 224 hp version of 3500(maybe), slight trim revisions and or package content reshuffling
  22. Other than different wheels and no bodyside moldings I don't see much different with picture number 2. This car looks sharp with the chrome trim unless it's a redline version which this clearly is not.
  23. This thing was a total mistake from the momment I first saw it. It looks like Jeep took a reject Toyota design and grafted a Jeep grille on it. Actually if you stuck a Toyota/Mazda grille on it, Toyota would probably have put it into production and it would be selling like hotcakes.
  24. And did that Malibu in C&D's test have 35K on the clock? I highly doubt it. Also the Impalas 3900 is tuned for slightly more hp and torque than the Malibu. As I stated in the write up, the 3900 in his Impala didn't feel all that fast when it was still green. It didn't fully come alive until it had well over 20K miles.
  25. If anything the Japanese can be blamed for sucking the life out of car interiors by making only gray, tan and black available, decontenting the trim off the sides of vehicles and by hideous or plain/dull boring styling.
