  1. I'll take the Monte Carlo please. It doesn't look like every other Asian car and has it's own brand of American character.
  2. Yeah and we can expect to see these 7 and 8 speed trannys out in the year 2525 if man is still alive.
  3. Holy smokes we have to now wait until November to see this thing on the dealer lots!
  4. I agree. And while were at at bring back the red, white and blue interior colors on Buicks also. And every new Buick should have portholes and bodyside moldings as standard equipment. No Lexus plain blandness please!
  5. The Charger is better looking IMO and has far more character to it's styling than this BMW plain looking knockoff. I live for the day when American cars offer there own styling again and quit copying Euro and Asian cars.
  6. Just as long as they don't build them in China. That would be a total disgrace.
  7. Now they just need to expand those 6 speed automatics into the 1500 series right now to make it competitive that way with the Turdra. It beets it in most other ways, why not in every way possible.
  8. I agree with the current Impala interior. In some ways it's better than before but in others I find it worse. My biggest beef with the 06-08 Impala interior are as follows: 1) Hard flat seats 2) Lack of floor shifter indicators 3) Lack of telescoping wheel 4) No glove box light 5) Split folding rear seat and armrest is optional on LS and LT and should be std equipment like on most competitors The engines are pretty good for this car and fulfill there mission as intended with low costs, good power and decent fuel economy. Refinement still needs work though and Chevy still needs to tone down the exhaust note on both V6's to make them quieter. Overall the current Impala makes a nice lower cost alternative to the new 08 Taurus or the more expensive Blandalon.
  9. I'm sure it will be more of the same ol same ol we have been getting from every car manufacturer lately; bland plain genric sides with no chrome or trim, bloated proprtions and no way other than a grille to tell you are even looking at a Buick. What sad styling these new cars have. At least when I see a LaCrosse or Lucerne, I know i'm looking at a Buick and not a genric Toyota/Lexus clone copy.
  10. It now look exactly like what it is, a Toyota Matrix! This should not be allowed to wear a Pontiac badge in any way shape or form!
  11. This Aura looks so much better than the Blandry Hybrid it's no contest.
  12. Toyota- moving cheaper
  13. A better looking grill and the 6 speed are improvements. Still has bland generic sides and a fuddy duddy interior so it still induces a yawn from me. Buick had better get there act together and offer a 6 speed automatic on the lucerne like right NOW!!!
  14. I see one a month if i'm lucky in Upstate, NY
  15. When you make butt ugly products, have record recalls, tranny issues on your bread and butter volume selling sedan, quality control glitches galore, a half baked full sized pickup with the worlds worst dash design, hybreds that don't even come close to there mileage figures on the sticker, overrated HP figures, over riding desire to be number one at all costs, internal scandels and such, it's bound to result in some public awareness eventually. It's good to see some Americans still have brains and can think for themselves. Way to go GM! Toyota- moving behind

    Lucerne MCE

I would expect a new grille possibly but little else. We will more than likely see the detuned 197 HP 3800 as the V6 engine for another model year(stockpiled 08 engines) and 4 speed automatics too. What they are going to do for 2010 is anybodys guess but do you really think GM will invest money in a lameduck platform for new engines/trannys. No way!
  17. I agree somewhat with your prices. If the new Malibu was a clearly superior or even competitive vehicle with some of it's target audience, which it clearly is not, then Chevy could charge 20K plus and people would buy it in droves. As it stands, this new Malibu is really just the same old GM wine in a slippery new bottle with a slightly fancier label attached. To get folks to pay 21-22K for a 4 cylinder Malibu, which is about what I would expect to see them priced at with a few options, it would need a rear seat armrest and head restraint, overhead assist grips, better cloth seat material, 180 HP 2.4 instead of the detuned 164 version of the Ecotec engine, greater body width for more interior room, better interior plastics etc. and some modern high tech options such as NAV.
  18. Good to see the bodyside moldings at least as an option. Thanks for the pics. I agree the interior and door panals look kind of cheap, especially in gray. Can't wait to see one in the sheet metal.
  19. Toyota- moving profits forward to Japan!
  20. I hope that the production version looks less plain than this prototype. Portholes and bodyside moldings HAVE to be part of the equation or it will just end up looking like any other old generic Asian clone with a Buick grille grafted on!
  21. These Asian bug eyed blobs all look the same to me.
  22. You can't get red paint on the LS and LT1 models and the Red tincoat is a $295.00 option on the LT2 and LTZ. Thats extremely corny. The color selection other than the handsome blue is pretty dull and run of the mill. And I notice that interior color selection is very limited depending on color. The more I look into this car, the more dissapointed I become.
  23. What happened to all the options that were posted on the GM site. They must just be showing a few select features. And where are the optional bodyside moldings, NAV screen, bluetooth, rear center foldown armrest, overhead assist handles and 6 speed automatic on the LS models. Each model seems about $1,000 - 2,000 overpriced. Let the rebates begin.
  24. Those are 1985 and up 305 figures. 1984 and older 305's had 150 HP, 240 torque and 8.6:1 compression
