  1. this is speculation at its worst.
  2. ya know, i don't think car seats, infants, and convertibles mix..... And i say this topic needs a vote. Velite, Riviera, Electra, or Other....
  3. CALL IT VELITE!!!
  4. leftlanenews has picked it up too. Production Velite i like these tidbits: "The Velite was previewed as a convertible, but the automaker will likely build both sedan and convertible variants, according to the magazine. It will be built on GM's Zeta architecture." "While a final name has not yet been picked, GM is open to keeping the Velite badge. Velite will be Buick's only rear-wheel-drive vehicle, according to Clarke. All other models will remain front-drive." exactly what should be done.
  5. well i'm betting since the Tahoe offers a front row bench, that the "Traverse" will as well. Also, Chevrolet has the laaaaargest line-up of any GM brand. If all they are missing is a large crossover, than BOO HOO! I mean seriously. they have more sedans, suv, wagons, sportcars, etc, than probably the GM brands combined. I say get over it, and work on your sales skills. I'm seriously disapointed and ashamed everytime I visit one to browse.
  6. likewise! although if the automatic with paddle shift rumors are true, then i might just have to go find out for myself.
  7. it should have been a Sky. that'd be prettier.
  8. Oh I can't WAIT for reviews comparing the new C-class to the CTS. The CTS pop-up nav immediately dates the C-class, with it's overly complicated moving nav screen.
  9. for real! she's [lady in kentucky] making more money than other people in her position, and she's not happy? find a NEW job! we live in a free country! these people are so whiney!
  10. i say we wait and see what GM shows us. we don't even know what the designs look like so it's alot of hot air and speculation in here. i agree with some, that a fully loaded Traverse might compete with the others, BUT consider how many people cross shop GM brands. GMC practically exists b/c people DON'T want a chevy. I see no overlap there. Buick customers won't be looking at a Chevy, and I doubt most saturn customers consider a Chevy when car-shopping. As long as this product looks different, is priced correctly, and doesn't offer as much content, it should be fine. It's also been said by numerous GM people it would offer some other items not found in the other lambdas.
  11. I agree that maybe the Traverse should be a 5/6 passenger vehicle, but the upcoming dodge crossover is really more Equinox territory. And since the next Equinox isn't going to shrink, then the Traverse shouldn't get any smaller., either. I don't think GM will let us down, they'll make it look different. Also, I don't see this stealing GMC or Saturn sales. Really, what saturn customers are also shopping a Chevrolet dealership? Not many. I think people scream brand competition with these CUV's way louder than they need to be. GM can make as many as needed. They need to own this new market like they own trucks and large SUV's.
  12. i'm so tired of that term "bangle butt". honestly i don't see it. This car has more of a "trunk ridge/hump" than a "bangle butt" compare it too the 6-series or 7-series and I see a little similatiry, but the "bangle butt" is really at the rear-most edge of the trunklid. not the top. case closed.
  13. i pray they don't call it that. BTC, CTC sound ridiculous. Excellent that they are doing this with the european journalists, like the did her in the USA. It prolly makes them special, so their more inclinded to be more open to an american or GM product.
  14. probably b/c it's longer and wider.
  15. this can only mean good things. the styling right now is ridiculous, and they look too cab-heavy and disproportionate.
  16. BUMBLEBEE EDITION! cool. 'nuff said.
  17. maybe it's a cute little duck-tail spoiler. like the one on the Astra 4-door concept over on gminsidenews...
  18. Yeh, i thought altima too, but without the oddly large greenhouse effect. this car looks nicely styled. are we sure this is the sized car we'll see as AURA? I know the stylign is supposed to be identical. but shouldn't we be getting a longer wheelbase version?
  19. wow, putting the front of those vehicles nex to eachother made me realize how much I DO NOT like the front of the camry.
  20. in diapers, babbling incoherent nonsense (like yesterday), and spending his pension like no tommorrow.
  21. and what's with GM suddenly moving all the antennas to the rear of the the car, right in the way of accessing the luggage rack? not a real problem on the Vue, but on the lambda's, it's like wtf?
  22. i agree completely. it's such a difference you'd think it was trick photography. i still think the edges of the bumper and doors are a little too "busy" the rest of the lineup has such clean lines.
  23. good increase. i'm glad GM is keeping it right in line with their competitors & the new model looks way more expensive than the model it replaces, with much better content. NOTE: according to the online ordering guide, the 4spd only comes on one model, the FWD XE and hybrid, EVERYTHING else gets the 6spd (including XE AWD models) it's not really that big of a deal. either GM wanted to keep the cost lower on the cheaper models, or they think more people will be buying XR's or something. it's not a huge deal.
  24. wow. the GMC is kinda hot! but please GM, don't get any ideas, haha. yeh a Corvette Type-R. the news would have a field day as people across the country would just die of shock.
  25. how does this factor into the the rumor that the Impala will stay FWD, and a RWD zeta will sit above it? Caprice, etc?
