  1. Today is your Christmas Camino. Merry Christmas buddy! Santa really DOES exist. This vehicle is very cool. I think this vehicle could steal sales away from midsize pickups if it offered a crew cab configuration and an all wheel drive drivetrain. GM should replace the Colorado/Canyon with a GMC lineup of trucks based off this and the Denali XT Concept.
  2. Whoa nice! Corvette V-8? Roll your own gears? Now we're talking!
  3. I met Randy one time on Thanksgiving evening in 1997 in front of Field's. He was a very tall man and very cordial and personable. I was saddened to hear of his death. The whole story surrounding his death is just a horrible tragedy. I feel for his family and friends.
  4. Funny, since they advertise them as purpose built. The brand does have a purpose, and that is to offer serious off road vehicles at a luxury price. On a side note, Hummers have done some good things that nobody thinks about. For example, owners of Hummers helped get people stuck in their cars off the highway during numerous blizzards that have hit. Hummer owners also took their Hummers into deep water to help people trapped in the waterlogged cars. Hummers have also been involved in saving lives in other extreme circumstances because they have the ability to go places that not many other SUV's can go. Yeah, Hummers have NO purpose. I like the Hummer brand. I have a soft spot in my heart for Hummers. I want a Hummer H2 SUT. I would use the vehicle for its intended purpose as well. I live near many off road trails and with my job I need to get through some muddy places and covered with deep snow. However, I think they should trend their vehicles downward and compete with both Jeep AND Land Rover. There is a market for off road vehicles, and whether they be truck based or based on their own dedicated architecture, Hummers have a purpose within GM and with new technology they can become more fuel efficient. And finally, there is no comparison between HUMMER and Oldsmobile. We do not live in a world filled with rattling wire wheel covers and stand up hood ornaments anymore.

  6. The Saab 9-3 would be a good choice. The SportCombi would be an economical people mover as well, and with one with XWD would be good for the snow.
  7. Happy Pi Day. I prefer my Pi to be pistachio.
  8. Wow! Somebody else thinks the same thing I do about this! I have tried to talk about this with some people but they just dont comprehend how rail travel can be a highly efficient way of traveling. It's really a great way to see the country AND, with high speed rail, get them quickly. It's cool to go fast!
  9. Happy Birthday Carbiz. I am 42. I bust my ass in the gym, and am hairy, masculine, and am a bear. Bears are all fat. That is a misconception. Now, there are chubs, and thats a whole nother story that I know nothing about because they stand no chance with me. I am just not attracted to them. Originally, the bear culture celebrated masculinity and I think that any furry gay man who celebrates masculinity is a bear. There's nothing to be afraid of. We don't bite, unless you want us to. hehe.
  10. That's a good point. I was not thinking of the cost effective way to do it, just the highest technology. I think that the high speed service on the regular rail line with NO vehicle crossings is the best commuter rail as well as long distance travel. I also believe that the government should fund better mass transit for large metro areas to make getting around easier and giving people a choice on how to commute into the cities.
  11. off
  12. Why do bears scare you?
  13. Loved it!
  14. High speed train service from coast to coast and border to border, maybe Mag-Lev.
  15. I may come off sounding like a politician running for office here, and normally I keep these opinions to myself, but since the thread was posted I thought I would chime in on my feelings on the matter. What I think we need is an America that can depend on itself for all of its goods and services instead of depending on other countries like they are our colonial servants. I think that American should invest in itself. I think America was at its best when it was self sufficient. I think Americans could be better if they actually practiced what freedom actually is. I think that too many Americans think their opinion is fact. I think that Americans can do anything they set their mind to. I think that Americans can accomplish anything they set their mind to.
  16. The question I have is: Where did her boyfriend go to the bathroom? Did the trailer have 2 bathrooms? It looked like a single wide to me. I didn't know they came with two bathroms. If it did have one, then did he go to the Texaco station to pee, poop?
  17. As opposed to an itch so private you can only talk to your doctor about it?
  18. BRX + 9-4 will be on Theta Epsilon, hence the TE designation for this architecture. I am curious to see the differences between the Vue/Nox/Terrain (Theta) and the TE crossovers once the production models are all on sale.
  19. Sounds like a great opportunity for him. It's a shame about Randy Salerno. He was a great anchorman and a pillar of the community in Chicagoland.
  20. This car is beautiful. Great shape for a Canadian car, and it sounds amazing.
  21. So much caught my eye in those pics. The coffin, the Lincoln Mark. . Impalas. Wow. Cool pics. Great find.
  22. I've been a Canadian before. I liked it. I may become one again.
  23. Modern day Corvair anyone?
  24. I'm not surprised at the pecking order here. It resembles the efficiency of each vehicle based on people carrying and utility. The full size Sequoia is the least efficient, the Acadia is a good compromise of both (and I love mine), and the Odyssey is the most efficient. I'm glad to see they had many good things to say about the Acadia, and I agree on all counts about the transmission and NVH issues. I hope GM fixes these for 2009.
  25. Riding the short bus
