  1. Yeah, along Rt 25. They still do bingo, but they call it raffle. I was up there about a month ago visiting family that lives in Campton Hills (Elburn). That place does have good fish on Fridays though.

Owch, I hope she doesnt see this thread
  4. Thats a beautiful shot of the car in that brochure too. I thought the horsepower rating was set at 362? What is this 355+ stuff?

    2008 Brochures

Fly, I noticed those in the back of the Buick books, those would be great for trips. I prefer those to the ones that hang down from the cieling blocking the rearview mirror. What impressed the hell out of me is that two way remote keyless entry fob that tells you tire pressure and other information. That thing is amazing. All of the brochures are very nice, especially the XLR, Enclave, and Corvette. I need to find a way to to get some new Cadillac brochures. I am a brochure whore I guess.

  7. Thanks for the drive report Sixty8, good job man.
  8. And if the Zeta based Impala is shown in concept form at LAIAS, the public will pretty much forget all about the front wheel drive Impala, that car will be a rental queen as Malibu production ramps up. The Malibu will be a far superior car.

    2008 Brochures

Update: Went for a drive today and picked up a few brochures. One is a real gem. 2008 Pontiac full line brochure Silverado Avalanche Impala Colorado HHR Equinox Trailblazer Suburban Tahoe Cobalt Aveo and. . . . .. . 2008 Corvette I also grabbed a leftover 2007 XLR brochure.
  11. Wow, great photography. Thanks for posting.

  14. I am hoping that all of this talk from the media is true and not just a bunch of hogwash. I am afraid that the new Malibu will be more competitive with the last gen Accord now that there is a new one out. I hope GM can continually improve this car to make it more competitive with the upcoming (or is it current gen now) Accord with the 190 hp 4 cylinder. After seeing the new Accord, I can say the new Malibu is my far the better looking of the two, and much better looking than the Camry.
  15. Very nice!
  16. 66 Toronado, light blue/light blue. It was gorgeous.
  17. I used to play softball, but I stopped a few years ago because I had other issues going on at the time. I'd like to get back to it. It's great exercise. My team during the summer is mostly watched on the DirecTV MLB channels. I see you are from Elgin, I think that watching softball would be more fun than the Bingo raffle at the Mile Pale. What a joke that was!
  18. K-Blazers rock. That's what I would get NOS.

    Bye bye PS2's

X2 on the Playstation 2. I was gonna mention my Wii. That tire is bad man. What have you been doing to it?

  21. I think Ven has a great point about more riding on a flagship car than an entry level car. But where is there more risk? Entry level cars have much higher sales and are the big money makers of the brand, so if a new design is unsuccessful, the automaker will lose more, however if the flagship car comes out with the new design language and it flops, fewer sales will be lost. Any thoughts on this?
  22. I have to also disagree about the 300. The LX cars revived full size, rear wheel drive sedans in the U.S. market place. They have sold a ton of them and spun off the program with the Charger and upcoming Challenger. The Aura is not a failure yet. It's going into its second year in production, so don't give up on it too quickly. It's a competent car and it takes time to overcome a bad reputation that is, in my opinion, unearned. Saturn is an upcoming brand, and the critical acclaim of the car will begin to get it noticed. I see commercials for Saturn quite often, and the Rethink American tagline is great. The story is not over for the Aura just yet. Volvo is a money maker for Ford, so I don't see the failing there.
  23. Colors on cars have been disappointing for years. They are too neutral and car companies do not offer enough colors to give a wide choice. The colors on the 08 Buicks aren't anything special. I do like the brown though. That's at least a new color, even if it is a new neutral. I think the brown leathers are very nice as well.
