  1. Wow. They sure made the RAV4 ugly. Get ready for lots of slurping from the media though... Unlike with GM, they won't test the base mill. They'll throw the 3.6L into every comparison and gush about how much better it is than everything else ever invented.
  2. I thought they were going to slowly roll the badge out with new launches, not retro-fit all the old programs with badges, but alas that seems like what they're doing.
  3. I think originally there existed plans for either a Saturn Vue-like truck or a small unibody Pontiac truck. I think GM would do VERY well with an idea like this though, but maybe not so much for Pontiac or Saturn now. Why not an AWD Delta truck? Or better yet (If Kappa could've been modified) a Kappa based truck. (Which, BTW one publication actually said the H3T was Kappa based)
  4. LMAO!! My thoughts exactly.
  5. Just as ugly and tennis shoe looking as the last version.
  6. Looks like a Liberty with an Acura MDX inspired body kit.
  7. LMFAO!!!! To hell with Toyota and what they do and don't appreciate. And GM should make no apologies. GM needs to do MORE gorilla tactics like this! God knows Toyota sure takes every opportunity to, especially pertaining to GM, their biggest target. Besides, Toyota shut these people out, why is it any of their business what they do. In fact, why is this matter any of Toyota's business in the first place? It's a FREE COUNTRY and Toyota didn't rent the people, they rented the park. You know what, to hell with Toyota and it angers me beyond belief that GM is apologizing for nothing. GM should've NEVER stopped giving the rides. Apparently Toyota can embarass GM and hinder them in every way possible (including through the media) yet GM cannot give people rides in GM cars in public places. As far as the media is concerned and it's coverage... They would have just made GM out to be the bad guy anyway, so why bother?
  8. I agree, those are pretty bad pictures. (Since wieck turned into autodeadline, they've really slimmed down their concept photos) A search of google images gives a few more shot but not necesserily better shots. I wish I could find a good source for concept photos. You can also find specs at www.conceptcarz.com
  9.  How right you are my friend!!! Every sign points to it yet American's are too naive to believe it. And it has only just begun, trust me. Kiss your standard of living goodbye America and say thanks to jeaolous countries and traitor leaders for selling out your future.
  10. It's about time GM seriously considers this. Think about it, the ultra high performance Z06, and ultra high performance Z28 and an ultra high performance Zxx from the Cobalt line, all in coupe form. Then we can call the sedan version something else. I think GM should bring this to market as fast as possible, for sales but more importantly image. It would do good for Chevrolet, Pontiac or even Saturn.
  11. AND HERE IT IS!!!!!! "The UAW says it will pay $5 more per presciption and that should be more than adequate to cure GM of it's problems" LOL You know, just like they did with the new contract.
  12. No, we do not need a Cadillac Epsilon convertible. Anybody else see what's wrong with this logic? Just "good enough" isn't anymore. YES!!! Couldn't have said it better myself!!! Don't give up until you're dead. Excellent read!!!!! I think things are improving steadily and GM might just pull out of this dive.
  13. If GM doesn't design Ep II to at LEAST be capable of AWD then this mess has reached a whole new level of stupidity. Research shows and has shown that consumers are quickly moving toward AWD purchases as the preferred choice, witness the STS debacle for an example. Just think, if GM could beat most of the other major players to the punch with a mid-size AWD, then we'd be in really good shape, especially if it had dual mode hybrid capability as well. GM really needs to nail Ep II. It's a high volume program that competes in a market where GM products need SERIOUS help both sales-wise and image-wise. In fact Epsilon itself is so big that it could either make or break a division alone (Witness Pontiac and the G6) In my opinion Epsilon II should be the GMT900 of cars for GM as in; a lot of focus, a lot of R&D, a lot of innovation and LOTS of $$$ But, alas, GM has given nothing but the bare minimum for decades now, so it wouldn't surprise me if Ep II followed the " just average" mantra as well.
  14. That would be an ideal situation, and common sense. But I doubt GM will do it.
  15. My current Girlfriend and I started off this way. We were best friends for 3-4 years before we started going out. I think it happened this way for various reasons but most of all we both had just finished horrible relationships. I would just let things be. If you're good friends then just have fun together and leave the door open for it to become something more. Besides, it's really nice to get to know someone really well before getting into a relationship and if things don't turn out that way then at least you'll have a great friend.
  16. How about "Catalina" Kinda soft sounding, but kinda cool too. (For those of you that don't know Catalina was a name for larger Pontiacs of yore)
  17. Kappa could revolutionize GM. It has the ability to save Pontiac, make Cadillac a credible competitor in Europe and spawn an affordable pony car for Chevrolet just to name a few. But, I think it'll be a wasted opportunity. If it is true that Kappa isn't that flexible (Which would make sense being that it is essentially a scaled down Y-Body) then why not try to justify the volume for the needed major changes and then commit the resources. Basically, I think a business case could be made for a stretched Kappa if GM implements it well enough. I'm talking 3 cars for Pontiac (Solstice coupe/convertible, Small RWD sedan & A Vibe replacing wagon) BLS and BRX replacements for Cadillac, The Sky for Saturn, the convertible for Opel/Vauxhall a Camaro for Chevrolet, maybe a coupe or 4-door convertible for Buick. The possibilities are endless (Of course with those endless possibilities comes endless $$$ and complexity) but maybe, just maybe they can build a business case.
  18. The Intimidator actually didn't get that much media exposure. It was a cool car though. Here is a rear view:
  19. SWEET!!!! I wouldn't mind this coming over as either a Chevrolet or a Pontiac. This is very good news for a number of reasons; to help combat Toyota, to help ease the GMNA losses, to establish a business to fall back on outside of NA. etc, etc. Daewoo was an extremely WISE business move that has proven to be well worth what it cost (I know that's completley opposite of what I said when it first happened---I'm honest about jumping the fence)
  20. I like it, but not as much as I've liked past Ford designs such as the New Edge theme or the forty-nine or the car the Fusion is based from. I see A LOT of Mazda in this mixed with some Aston Martin
  21. I'll agree with you HE. I think the car looks nice, although I can do without the quasi-chrome mirrors, and I would lower it. The wheels look excellent though! That custom front air dam reminds me of this concept: The 1998 Intimidator concept (Which I liked a lot) And, BTW AAS, I like the MC as well, just wish it were more of a modern, more nimble sports coupe (Maybe like a coupe the size of the Malibu or something, with turbo-ed V6 engines and AWD--that's my ideal MC) Not traditional MC, but it would build on the heritage proudly and put Chevrolet in a whole new market with a credible entry that also has a distint history of being a "Personal" or "tailored" offering, not mass appeal.
  22. And the threats start flying.... Sounds more like a mob boss than a union leader. This union is drunk with power and they need to be GROUNDED quick.
  23. this came from Mark Phelan's review of the HHR [post="10289"][/post] ooops. Oh well.
  24. So how was the write-off... err.. I mean write up?
  25. So we're just promoting the Impala logo and not the car now?!?!?! Dumb idea.
