Acura News: Acura Refreshes ZDX For 2013, Kills It One Year Later
PONTIAC06 replied to William Maley's topic in Acura
I agree this and the X6 lack an identity in the market, but I think is is way better looking than the X6. Starting to consider picking up a used one since the resale is already piss poor. I think this was the wrong vehicle for Acura to use to push further upmarket... -
Buick News: Why The 2013 Buick Regal Is More Expensive
PONTIAC06 replied to William Maley's topic in Buick
back on topic, I know this isn't the response people want, but you can CHOOSE to go to the 2.0T as a NO COST option instead of the e-assist. So no, there is no base model regal, but like others have said the MPG will get more people into the showroom than the availability of a 2.4 w/o e-assist. It's not like Buick is making you buy e-assist on every single Regal they sell, and as much as we bash GM, how many of you are going to go out there right now and buy a 2.4 base Regal...probably none...it's not targeted at most of you. -
Agreed...I've seen a few of them around and they look a little sportier, but it doesn't really seem like a step forward...just a replacement...

Buick News: Buick Announces Pricing For The Verano Turbo
PONTIAC06 replied to William Maley's topic in Buick
The problem with the ILX is that the bigger engine is still seriously down on power/torque compared to the turbo. I think both cars are attractive packages (I'm actually someone that would purchase this type of vehicle), but the Buick would win it for me...by an even wider margin if it came in any of the Opel's other body styles... On another note, my parents are even considering trading my mom's Impala for a Verano...I think it reminds her of her '98 Century but with all the new tech she wants (and some she wouldn't know what to do with) -

I like the Astra sedan taillights better than these...but the car as a whole seems very impressive

I always thought the current Acura crossovers were ugly...if this looks more like the new RDX I'd say it will be a major improvement...

Nissan News: Spying: Nissan Sentra With Added Zebra
PONTIAC06 replied to William Maley's topic in Infiniti
I really like the Altima, the Versa not so much...Pathfinder is just meh, but I think I'm more disappointed by the switch to being a crossover instead of a real SUV. This looks better than the current Sentra, but the pics of the Sylphy don't inspire automotive lust...hopefully it will be better in person...Still like the Maxima and Z -
While I agree that I don't want/think I need these things...I wouldn't mind about 85% of the other idiots on the road having them...everytime I see someone texting, or not even looking when they change lanes during my ~80 mile daily commute it makes me wonder how there aren't a lot more accidents...Unfortunately for enthusiasts, the government is concerned with keeping them and the people around them safe from their own stupidity...

I can vouch that you never want to see or hear something bad about your products, but at the same time, how many thousands of vehicles have been sold with this engine since it debuted? It's been put in basically everything since the 4th gen Grand Cherokee debuted, and I haven't seen anything overwhelmingly negative about the engine itself...

I am really surprised by how good of shape it is in...I haven't seen many of the older ones still holding strong like that...especially in the rustier states...hopefully she treats you good

Chevrolet News:Chevrolet Traverse revealed ahead of NY Auto Show
PONTIAC06 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
I like all the updates except the front end...just echoing some of the other comments, but it really has no Chevy identity compared to the rest of the family. I always though the face of the old one was a little awkward, but that grille is just boring... -
I really would love to see this here...as long is it has real off road ability, preferably a manual transmission, and as some have said a diesel, I'd on this like white on rice. Mostly because I no longer have a good selection of truck based SUV's that I can use to haul the dogs and my gear around offroading, and drive to work on ocassion. I don't use my Jeep as a daily driver anymore, but it would be cool to see something besides another Jeep as an option in the future because I don't need all the luxury items and 28K base price. This could use some different taillights though...
-
THIS!!! Those taillights do not fit in at all. It also looks like they classed up the interior quite a bit from the spy shots of the Mokka, but I just can't get over the damn taillights...ugh Also, the page is up at Buick: http://www.buick.com/encore-luxury-crossover-suv.html

I think for a while many of the GM interior have begun to look like this, but this one does look nice with the CUE system and large color palette. As far as the exterior I think that it looks a little softer than expected, but the only thing I really don't like is the grille...I find it to be generic. Need to wait until there are live pictures or even better, they are on the lot.

The more I look at it, the more it's growing on me, but after looking at the Ford EcoSport, do they have the same greenhouse?

normally, wouldn't make a judgement yet, but based on the fb reveal and Opel, I'm dissapointed...
