  1. Welcome to the [sarcasm]new and improved, [/sarcasm] thanks to Obama, socialist America! GM should have just gone bankrupt before they sold their soul to the US Government. It was a bad idea from day one. Now they're going to have to sell off every piece of heritage they have in order to please the government and end up bankrupt anyway, leaving all of us taxpayers to pick up the tab because they won't be able to repay the money we gave them...Not that I'm opposed to helping GM out, but I'd rather do it by buying a car from a bankrupt GM than giving them my tax dollars that the government is going to waste away. At least through bankruptcy they could have told the unions to f**k off, closed plants, etc. without having to go through ridiculous negotiations just to be told they weren't good enough for Obama and his administration.
  2. Right now, I think GM needs to advertise everything they can any way they can. Plus this thing gets same/better gas mileage than alot of cars anyway. I think it is pretty cool, although it would look better with a smaller grille and a visible lower grille. I do really like that GMC is switching to Pontiac's red backlighting.
  3. Mom's pretty much 100% Spanish, although it comes from both Mexico and Spain. There is a little bit of Native American sneaking around in there, but not enough for me to claim. Dad's 50/50 Irish and Danish. I usually just claim the Hispanic side despite the Irish name...
  4. Just the brands that have been around in my lifetime, I have never owned: Chevy Cadillac Geo GMC Hummer Oldsmobile SAAB Saturn or any of the foreign only brands if you include my immediate family Chevy, GMC, and Oldsmobile drop off the list.
  5. Between school and work, I made about 17,000 in 2008...can't complain too much since I only have to support my self and pay the usual college type bills...
  6. I really hope that he is right, and there is enough interest that someone will hlep SAAB become a much better company than GM ever let it become. I really like their products, and the dynamics of the couple I have been able to test out. Hopefully everything works out and we keep seeing their products here in the US

    I saw...

Lots of musicians, best one though, I had a beer and hung out with Three Doors Down this past fall...
  8. ESTJ Extrovert - 67 Sensing - 25 Thinking - 75 Judging - 67 Says I'd be a good engineer, which is what I'm studying, also says I'd be good at truck or bus driving though...ha ha famous people with my personality include: Bruce Willis, George W. Bush, Vespasian, Colin Powell, Martha Gellhorn (war correspondent), Lyndon B. Johnson
  9. I have a 55 gallon Cichlid tank. There's also to pretty big plecos in there too. Although the cichlids are breeding again, so I haven't cleaned it recently to avoid distrubing nests...
  10. I agree that the FIAT Bravo would make a cool entry-level Chrysler assuming you could get a Chrysler grille on the front of it. Maybe a 100C?
  11. The profile of the Charger looks nice, and I'm really diggin the GC. I am totally biased because I honestly believe I could never own another vehicle besides my GC, but the front end looks like an evolution of the 2nd gen, and the body looks like an evolution of the 3rd gen. They are merged together very nicely too in my opinion. The other two...well...we'll see I suppose.
  12. I'm just excited to see some original new products from SAAB! None of this Subaru and Chevy rebadge crap.
  13. Places I've been would have to be London, England Montreaux, Switzerland Venice, Italy I'd love to see some places in Asia though
  14. In Wyoming there are so many places I can hardly list them. Of course the usuals are: Yellowstone The Tetons Devils Tower Jackson Hole (although overpriced and filled with yuppies) but if you just look around, beauty is everywhere..maybe I'm biased. Just a couple to think of are Aspen Alley, south of Rawlins Centennial/Snowy Range west of Laramie Vedauwoo between Laramie and Cheyenne on I-80 Flaming Gorge, south of Green River Big Horn Mountains near Sheridan Wind River Range near Lander The Summit east of Laramie...beautiful stretch of I-80 Sybille Canyon between Laramie and Wheatland Boysen Resovoir Hell's Half Acre the canyon between Shoshoni and Thermopolis Shirley Basin is also beautiful in the spring. Independence Rock and Devils Gate (between Rawlins and Casper) can't forget the area around Hulett (close to Devils Tower) and the drive between Newcastle and Spearfish, SD is breathtaking! Chimney Rock is pretty cool too!

    w00t

You better believe it! And I won't be leaving the house for the next four years either! Just kidding, but if Obama had lost every single one of you would be just as upset as many people are that he won.
  16. One of my old work trucks (2003) Ford F250 still had the light indicating the glow plugs were warming up. I usually drove an 08 F350 but never noticed a glow plug light in it. As far as the weather goes, it was a beautiful 51 degrees in Laramie, with about zero wind all day...unusual since Jan-Feb is usually always in the negatives with 40 mph constant winds...gotta be thankful for the small things!
  17. My local dealer has always been Chevy-Pontiac-Buick-GMC-Cadillac. They just finished a remodel and building a new "grand" entryway...it actually looks pretty nice.
  18. I have to agree...driving a V6 Jeep seems totally different than driving my Grand Cherokee (4.0 I6)...at least to me...
  19. I have to agree with SMK on this one...at least part of it. I never want to see any of the three go, but Cerberus should be pumping some of it's billions into the company. That was one of the perks of it going private, right?
  20. Those are pretty funny! I personally feel bad putting clothes on dogs, but then again my dogs freak out if there is even something on their head...I put Smokey in a life jacket once when we were at the lake as a joke and he looked like we were torturing him...

    Ball funk

A man after my own heart. I'm a HUGE Ave fan, and watch every Steelers game we get here in Wyoming...otherwise it's internet updates...I also follow the Broncos...mostly just because they're about as 'local' as it gets around here, plus my whole family and most of my friends are Bronco fans. Everything else just seems boring to me...even in person I can't get too excited about baseball...basketball it just depends on the game...
  22. I've seen quite a few white 2nd gen Priuses, but I've also owned two white cars...a Buick Regal, and my Jeep Grand Cherokee...I honestly think that most cars look good in white or black no matter what...other than keeping them clean, they are very attractive colors. Some cars just look hideous in other colors but don't look bad in those two or silver...so I can understand the choices...
  23. AMEN! I absolutely hate anything related to Electrical Engineering, especially MatLab! people who don't know how to drive in the snow final exams roommates girls that can't make up their minds the holiday season (as it has been comercialized) bills that's all for today...ha ha
  24. I love the winter weather most of the time, but the roads around Laramie are atrocious! Laramie never budgets for snow removal so everyone just drives it down until every road is a giant sheet of ice...plus, since it's a college town every idiot from anywhere south of the front range thinks they can drive like it's normal conditions...I love seeing all the kids with messed up cars after the first big snow of the year! Although, when I can barely make it into town and to the campus with my Jeep in 4WD, that bothers me.
