Hyundai isn't the first to do away with badges. In fact, there were NO exterior Buick badges on Riviera's.. How about Oldsmobile Aurora's? There are other examples.. Unfortunately, Hyundai makes a better full-size luxury car than Lincoln or Cadillac. That's a REAL shame. Hyundai has outclassed Cadillac at it's own game.. Unfreakingreal. It pisses me off. But facts are facts.

I want pictures of you drunk. Sorry, I don't know anything about Disturbed. They're a little too mellow for me.
-
So what's he doing in that picture? That's a cute baby. I don't normally find babies anything but ugly.
-
Oh, I like the current look too! I'm already a dirty old man... Hey. Who's that baby? And what is he doing?
-
Haha! Maybe it's ME that's closing in on the walls!

What is it that makes this forum go down so much?

Yes. They do.. Let me know how to proceed... -
Sorry to hear about this.. Your grandfather is in my prayers.. The way he went does sound to be much better than a painful year of cancer, however.. I'm not sure what I believe in regards to the afterlife - but if there is one, you'll surely see him again one day. If not, than he's free to rest for eternity - as we will be one day.

Yeah, thats me.. From young to old. And that's actually a small tree. 6 foot or something. I had a really beautiful 4000 square foot home last year - but my wife didn't like it. So now I'm back in a 1200 square foot condo - going freaking crazy.. I need space... The walls are closing in on me no matter where I am...

I believe they do offer this. They do pretty much everything. Let me just make sure and I'll get back to you. If they do, would you like me to send them your contact information? Or vise versa? I saw the "pittsburgh-city.com" issue earlier as well. This made for like three separate times the site was down today - at least when I was looking... Something has to be done... Though the error message gave me the impression the hosting bill hadn't been paid or there was an overage.. -

Figures, right? If you need a good host, let me know.. The company I use has been great... -
If you were the parts girl at my local dealership, I'd make excuses to go there. The attachments are.... First, me with long hair. Than me a little bit older (tank top). Then me, old, 37 (now) (updated and reposted HERE) Oh and the last picture is my Christmas tree. I like it.

What happened today? Several times I tried to get in here and there were database errors and then just "page not found" errors. This seems to happen every so often (I've seen it a few times over the past few weeks). I'm guessing the first issue had to do with MYSQL going down. The next was probably Apache.. While there's no reason this place needs to be on a dedicated server at this point in time - I think the server it's on has too many problems. One site or another is draining all the resources..

An attempt to make the new Aveo less offensive
Sal Collaziano replied to ToniCipriani's topic in Chevrolet
I actually like that bring front grille setup... -
It's funny how Hyundai is putting so many people on notice.. The Veracruz IS a very nice Crossover SUV. It's amazing to me how it's not selling more. Actually, I should not be surprised. Hyundai does NOT know how to market.... In any event, I've driven the X3 as a rental vehicle and it's nice, well-built - but crampy and uncomfortable (to me).

I do believe the struts in the 1992 Seville are the same as those in later models like the 1997...

I didn't read the article but my belief for any reasoning by Toyota that GM needs to survive is..... Fear. Toyota fears what life might be like in the United States after the Big 3 fail. How welcome would they be? Their factories might be under constant attack by various people - including newly poor people who never thought about alternative careers in the event the unions bled the corporations dry.

Senate aid refusal meant to break the UAW: Nader
Sal Collaziano replied to regfootball's topic in Industry News
There are UAW forklift operators making $103,000.00 before health benefits. What more needs to be said? -
I don't think most of the people who buy an SRX are looking for something high performance. I know some are - but most are not. I do think it'll sell. But as SMK said, they're not better than what the competition offers...

I've owned a 1995 Cadillac Eldorado ETC (which is the same as a Seville STS) and I LOVED that car. I've owned several Northstars afterwards (2000 DeVille DTS and, driven on many occassions, the Seville STS) - and never had any serious problems. The Northstar is an excellent engine and will last a long, long time as long as the cooling system was maintained. There's plenty (plenty, plenty of information on this at my forum, cadillacforums.com). People can say anything they like about FWD vs RWD, but when I owned these FWD Northstar cars, I was the only luxury car on the road rolling through thick snow and ice without any issues. BMW 7-Series, Mercedes S-Class and Lexus LS vehicles were all over the road, fishtailing and getting stuck. Maybe they didn't have snow tires on.. So what? Neither did I... The STS is quite a bit stiffer than the SLS. These are GREAT looking cars (timeless) with VERY comfortable and luxurious interiors. If you want more answers than you can handle, check my forum.

Anyone else pissed about the new Honda & Nissan ads?
Sal Collaziano replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's topic in General Motors
Once GM can start spending advertising money on ONE or TWO vehicles per segment - instead of FIVE, they'll have enough money to properly market their products.. I think that day is coming soon... -
Nobody cares which wheels power their vehicle. When I say "nobody", I mean about 99% of all people driving on the road. Only automotive enthusiasts are concerned about this. We're a tiny, tiny demographic. Automobile companies would be insane to care about what us car nuts feel is important when 99% of their sales come from people who have no need or desire to know which wheels power their vehicle. It's meaningless. When I first saw this new RX, I was confused as well. I do see improvements on the exterior. They're extremely subtle. In fact, I'm disappointed at how subtle the changes are. And the interior changes don't look to be an "improvement". There's just not much to this update. In my opinion, Lexus needs to go a little more upscale with their RX. Either that, or make a version with more power and raise the price. I LIKE the RX and I might buy one if it weren't so "entry-level". I'm also a fan of the Acura MDX. THAT has a very nice interior, exterior and decent power (if I remember correctly). Now the Cadillac SRX - while in some ways is a disappointment - is going to sell like CRAZY. The only reason it's selling so bad now is because women think it looks like a hearse. This new design looks much less like a wagon and more like a Crossover SUV.

Look. Guys. I'm handing you a recipe for success. If you don't want to even consider the possibility that I'm right, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I like this place and would like to see it succeed whether I own it or not. Obviously, I don't own it - and I'm still sticking around offering advice. Take it, or leave it. I run several very successful forums and I've been doing so since the mid 80s (yes, before the internet as we know it). I'm not some flyby night moron who doesn't have a clue. You can choose to be offended by my suggestions and/or somehow take them personally in a bad way. That's your prerogative. I'll go away and leave the ball in your court... I'll come back to this next year when this forum is a roaring success.... -

I actually don't see ANY forums charging for memberships. Memberships are free UNLESS you choose to pay for added options. However, to browse the forum and post/reply, etcetera - which is WHAT forums are for - there is no charge. The forums I'm talking about who are advertising for new members DO NOT charge for memberships. In fact, the ones I'm specifically referring to don't even have the OPTION to pay if you wanted to.... -

I don't think going commercial necessarily means greater restrictions. Can you explain your thoughts on that? Otherwise, I agree with everything you said. I think this could be a good start to a turnaround. I still believe we need a major marketing campaign because as you mentioned, we need to focus on gaining new members. People come and go - but if more are leaving than signing up, that makes for a very grim future... A marketing budget will bring on more members - which will bring on more activity - which will, in turn, bring on even more members. The busier this place is, the more likely people are to sign up. Even if only to reply to a discussion and get their opinion heard (or seen).
