All cold engines idle higher than ones at operating temperature. It's decidedly far-fetched, yes. I'm willing to try whatever theories are introduced to me if they don't require any investment. I just wanted to get it started up and show that it does, indeed, still run. On a semi-related note, the Cutlass is finally running again, as well. It's been dormant since last fall.

  3. After the Cobalt is paid off, I'm hoping that a Genesis 2.0T Track isn't too far out of reach. Of all the new cars available, it's the only one that's really snagged my interest. Otherwise, I would stick with used for a another decade. Per the results, it's not terribly surprising. The Genesis is smaller and lighter, of course its going to perform better. Even then, it's not a runaway winner. The review was mostly fair and both cars seem spectacular. You can't really go wrong with either them, it's mostly a choice of style and preference.
  4. Yesterday was a Chevelle day. I saw atleast 5 of all different years. I think one was a 65, one a 68, a 70, a 72, and some other one that fits in between two of those. Also, a Porsche 944 and a slew of cars for sale. An original VW Cabriolet, a third gen Camaro, two third gen Firebirds, a lifted two-door Cherokee, an old 70 or so Buick Skylark (will have a pic up sometime today) and an 80 or so Chevy Pickup that was lifted with mud-diggers and a sweet paint job that was professionally covered with fresh mud.
  5. I've been thinking about picking up a project car of some sort for the past two months. All I know is that the Millenia and Cutlass don't count. It'll be something new. Firebirds, Fieros, Alfas, air-cooled VWs and old MGs have come to mind.
  6. I vote a resounding 'no' on the body color housing idea. I'm not a fan.
  7. DF, Ocn has a point. Ocn, DF has a point. Sixty8, Satty has a point. Satty, Sixty8 has a point... kinda, sorta.. eh, not really. There, everyone's happy. Carry on.
  8. My goal, if it can be done on a budget, is to transform it into a Sport/SS look-a-like. Those are atleast tolerable, looks wise. It's on my short list, but I wish I didn't have to stick with the stock lamps. Projector or dual beam headlights would most likely improve the rather meager light output, but all the aftermarket ones look tacky to me.
  9. Personally, given that the resources are there to do so, I think someone other than GM could most certainly take the brand further than GM has themselves. Their own mishaps have more than helped put Pontiac in the position it is currently in. The nature of Pontiac is not flawed.

    Indeed.

    Toys

The toys. I'm not sure if the last one really counts unless you're WMJ. The real toys.
  14. The Bloodhound Gang - A Lap Dance is So Much Better When The Stripper is Crying.
  15. Adam Lambert - Feeling Good (cover).
  16. I always liked Mille Miglia's wheels, as far as aftermarket goes. Those, and BBS's.
  17. Sorry to hear.
  18. Every G8 I've seen at my local BPG dealer has sold atleast within a month or two. And Brookville/Dubois loves their G5s, G6s, Sunfires, and Grand Ams. The good Pontiacs are fairly rare.
  19. I realized they hit it with the ugly stick, but not that they fed it Mcdonald's for a year straight. It's huge, and not in a good way.
  20. If that's supposed to be a compliment, it's not a very good one.
  21. I've read about that issue on CobaltSS.net. It's probably going to be the next thing to go on mine.
  22. As I've stated, I stop caring about GM a while ago. They're dead to me. This just further extends that. With that said, Camino, I hope you stick around. Many of us, here, have moved beyond GM. We still stick around for our general enthusiasm of the automobile. As much history as you have with the company. You will always have the past to remember and love. I will still own the Fiero I've always wanted one of these days. I've pondered over many Firebirds as well. While I will not go as far as some on here and tell you about how you can still support the company for further events you shouldn't hold your breath for, I will say that there's no reason to forget and certainly no reason to lesson your role in this forum. A great personality will be lost, whether we agreed or disagreed with you.
  23. I love the heat. It makes me happy.
