  1. There's random rust spots, but nothing major that I saw. Underbody looked cleaned. It does, indeed, have the 3800. Seems to run pretty good and its recently inspected. Interior is very clean, the old lady even left two pairs of sunglasses in the armrest. If everything goes as planned, we will probably pick it up tomorrow. I'd like to get it for around $1500 or $1600 "out the door" but its not bad price as is. Our other option was a Pontiac 6000 LE with 80k original miles with absolutely no rust for $1900, but it sold hours before we stopped at the dealership. On a similar note, we will also be looking for a decent Sunfire replacement. It's started to deteriorate to the point where driving it seems like a death wish and it's really not worth putting any more money into.
  2. Pictures say it all but this. My boyfriend is looking for a car and we found this.
  3. Oh.... . You won't regret it.
  4. I don't need it. I'm happy with my 32 inches of goodness, instead. Sure, it's only 1360x768, but its huge!
  5. I needed some Fahrvergnügen.
  6. A camouflaged VW Cabrio. I suppose that's one way to avoid the chick-car stigma.
  7. That's pretty much what the insurance told us. Per the estimate, they found more than expected. Both front seats were broken from the force of the accident. Frame was bent, trunk floor, as well as all the obvious. The biggest lost; this was my Grandma's car and my Mom wanted to have it because of that. Myself, I'm not getting another car right now. We'll soldier on with the Sunfire and Golf for now. I'll probably wait until I find another job, as I'm really aiming for a nice, shiny, new MK6 GTI.
  8. Totaled. We're getting about $8k.
  9. Personally, it's a waste of money. Cops can and will issue you a ticket if they feel your car is unsafe or breaking a law. States without them seem to operate just fine without an increase of "rolling deathtraps". Emissions testing, eh, I don't have to deal with it. However, if we were ever subjected to one, the Sunfire wouldn't have a chance in hell of passing.
  10. After insurance struggles on both ends, we finally got an estimate: $6700 in damage. No word yet on whether they're totaling it or repairing it.
  11. I've personally had one experience where the seller did not mark it shipped through Ebay. I inquired after a few days of wondering and received back a responce stating he didn't use ebay's shipping service. I received the package the very day I got the response, ironically.

    Pictures!

That is at the top of some five-or-so-story parking garage in Saginaw, Mi.
  13. The Legacy lost me with its current redesign. It foregone everything I loved about the previous generation, especially in the design department.

    Car Help

I would seriously check out a new Regal. As well, any VW TDI is a great highway car and the TDI's are generally the most reliable of the VWs.
  15. Both the MKV and MKVI were/are available with 17 inch ("Denver") and 18 inch ("Detroit") version of that wheel design. The 17 inch is finished in just silver, while the 18 inch is polished with the black (or gunmetal for the MKV known as "Hufeisen") accents.

  17. I wish. Water, too. I will say, I've always liked these wheels, though a nice set of dished BBS wheels always look stellar on VW's.
  18. First 5 shots of the GTI are done.
  19. I remember you.

    Pictures!

Taken by everybody's favorite spy photographer:
  21. Cook more carefully?
  22. We've never had an issue with something burning itself to the glass. Anything spilled on the burners has come off with a little bit of regular ol' cleaner and a few wipes. No 5 minute work-out.
  23. Electric isn't so bad. And with glass tops, keeping it clean isn't impossible.
