  1. I'm bored, I'm hungry, and I want to go to town to get some Bold party flavor Chex mix. :D
  2. Hmm... the Spyder looks as if it will look a whole lot better than the coupe.
  3. *random thought* That's in a System of a Down song... :D
  4. Not so fast... I'm sure they'd help cool down my prone-to-overheating Quad4. :D Yeah, it may have helped to prevent the needle going into the red zone while I decided to push my luck a second time... and my luck left me out in the cold. Literally. I had to pull over on a narrow, rural road in the middle of nowhere, at night. The good news... I didn't hurt it anymore than it already is! :P
  5. Well... other than the tiny wheels, weird grill, tacked on looking ground effects, buldging out taillights, and the fact that those huge pics are killing my computer... It looks good, actually. Especially the interior...
  6. That is going to cause less kittens to be killed.... :P
  7. Oh... so what? Maybe some people like the design. It is subjective, afterall. Maybe some people don't care about fit/finish either. I don't because I look at more important qualities of a car. For me, that happens to be how it looks since I don't pet my dash nor sleep on it. If it looks good and if the actual points of contact feel good... I'm satisfied. I'm not a hypocrite like some here(not necessarily directed at you). Another thing that is important is integrity. However, I've expressed dislike for this interior. None of the things I mentioned were done well in the GP (don't know about integrity). I was just trying to act like those hypocrites and join the "let's pet the dash even though we'll never touch it!" game and express how the dash plastics were better than most similar non-luxury GM vehicles... Is there anything wrong with that? Damn, this forum has turned into a complete bash fest. Everyone is bashing everything. Doesn't matter what it is, who makes it, or how relevant it is... C&Gers will find a way to bash it. Even I'm quilty of it... :P Jeesh... :D
  8. Damn... Alot of cats must have been killed because of me...
  9. Guess what I did today, guys... I said "F**k it". That's right, I said "F**k it" and drove my injured Grand Am today. I was on the verge (sp? :P ) of going crazy from boredom and I was having serious crazings to drive again. And oh... how good it felt! Woohoo! :D Anyways, I went dealer hopping. I saw a few interesting things, needless to say. First was the new Lucerne. Well... frankly, I'm still unimpressed. The styling, especially the rear, was absolutely horrible. I mean that in the best possible way, if that makes any sense. It isn't ugly, but it's bland and generic looking. Remove the badges and and I would have a hard time telling that it's Buick. Also, it happened to be parked right next to a DTS. Got to compare and examin each other's interiors. Well, they're more different than what I originally thought! Wow! There goes someone's arguement... Next was a Cobalt SS coupe. Damn... it is a great feeling to have a desire for a GM vehicle other than a Pontiac for once. I loved it. The sleek and subtle ground effects looking awesome and those wheels are to die for. The interior is where I saw the most need for improvement... The silver painted plastic looks as bad as ever. However, the sight of a manual transmission quickly had me drooling once again... After that was more G6 coupes. Now they had a red GTP, stealth gray GT, and white GT along with the red GT they've had. I must say that I do give this car a hard time sometimes. It looks weird and bland, yes, but it has a great stance. I would buy one if I could. I really would... Anyways, I want to see what a black and a blue GTP look like. Hopefully my dealer will get some soon. The last car I saw at the dealer was a an 06 Malibu. Um... it's an improvement, but instead of just ugly... now it's bland as well. The mirrors looked good, though. I wish they would put them on the G6. Also, the improvements to the interior looked good. It still looks somewhat bad compared to the G6's, though. Especially the dash plastics. Absolutely horrible compared to the G6's. I think you'd have to be high to think otherwise.
  10. Interesting... I guess it's only fair if I conduct my own as well. Right here in Brookville, Pa. I'm thinking it's going to have a bit different results... But just a bit. If that means the total opposite to you, that is...
  11. Hahahaha... :D :P
  12. Well, some things are unpredictable. You can't expect Diecast makers to be able to see into the future. :P That and waiting can lose potential sales. Releasing a model when a vehicle just debuted will most likely feed off the buzz the debut created moreso than one released a year or two after a debut where the buzz is basically burnt out. Collectors collect models based on significance while automotive enthusiasts, like you and I, collect based on personal taste. All of that probably has something to do with that... It's one of my major gripes as well. I will also say that sometimes it's just nice to even have a diecast version of a vehicle. I mean... I would kill to have a diecast model of my GA. I really would... but it isn't going to happen. With most models... I have to think 'atleast it exists' and forget about the gripes. :D
  13. Oh... stupid me... They shuffled the trims for 06. Forgot. :P Nice car, btw. :D
  14. Cobalt LT coupe??? I thought LT was sedan specific...??? I'm confused...
  15. Maisto does a better job with 1:18 scale diecast... It's horrible with 1:64 scale ones compared to Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, and such. I'm hoping there will be a 1:18 scale version. Maisto generally does a superb job with those and I want one of a Solstice. Yatming makes one, but they're not as good as Maisto... by far. Anyways, my diecast days are reaching the beginning of the end. I haven't bought any in over a year and I don't really have the desire too anymore. I'm growing out it, although I try to get any Pontiac I find as they are rare around my area. I'm limited to WalMarts, Kmarts, etc. As a result, I only have three. Quite sad. :(
  16. Okay... Listen. I wasn't trying to say that because the plastic wasn't the crap half the people write it off as, that it automatically made it a good interior. Never have I said that. Never. If you'd read further on in the thread, you'd see that I'm not a fan of this interior. I was only talking about the plastics and I was trying to make that appearant so that maybe, just maybe, some would understand where I was coming from. Understand? :D
  17. What? I think my GA sig totally beats it...
  18. Wow... this takes effort. Too many cars I like from these two decades... :P More to come... I guess. :D
  19. What country is that? ...Good thing that hasn't happened in the USA. Did I mention I don't much care for FWD haters?
  20. Yeah... I'll just be over at Honda. And Nissan... and Mazda... hell, maybe even Toyota. Don't worry about this Pontiac fan. I'm set for a life without Pontiac. Or is that life in prison after I do something bad to those within GM that killed Pontiac? Hmm...
  21. Needless to say... I was shocked and appalled. I mean, I have never seen such biased writing. It's ridiculous. They bash at every slight chance they get and sometimes for no appearant reason. It's been ever since that Austrailian took over too... The magazine now looks atrocious with atrocious writing to match... What's more is that they seem to like the vehicle and almost praise it, but at the end, bash and belittle it. They did it specifically with the Lucerne CXS, the G6 GTP coupe, and the Cobalt SS sedan. They also nitpicked the Solstice to death. "Oh... the cup holders are inaccessable" "It took us 10 minutes to put the top up" (not exact quotes, but exaggerations of exaggerations) I find it highly unlikely it took them 10 minutes to put the top up, btw. What are they... retarded? Then there is the Civic. Just compared reviews. MT's sounds like a Honda advertisement...
  22. If WMJ can show Saddam, I should be able to show Hitler (minus the whats-it-called of course). Hahaha...
  23. Well... I think both the interior and exterior needs an equal amount of work. Both designs make me frown. The exterior needs to look less weird and exaggerated while the interior needs look more expesive and less cluttered. One thing I do like about the design, however, is the driver oriented-ness of it. I love how the center stack is angled towards the driver...
  24. That's the art of being sarcastic.
  25. Didn't I say the STS-V wasn't adequate at first? I think I did... Seems that I was right. Frankly, I don't think it even deserved second. It's bland (for a Cadillac) and has the performance to match. While I find the others to be quite ugly, atleast they are unique and exciting with awesome performance, almost unbeatable in the M5's case.
