  1. I'm got your point. What do you think "Yeah, a name isn't going to stop me from buying a vehicle nor is it going to make me buy one" meant? As well as the rest of the paragraph adding to it. Exactly.
  2. LMAO  I must as well. :P
  3. If a name isn't important... Why did they change it? :P Huh? Anyways, nice way to turn that on me. Bastard. Yeah, a name isn't going to stop me from buying a vehicle nor is it going to make me buy one. It will and has happened to other people, though. They're retarded too. That's why the Grand Am name was retired. Retards would see the name and think of the POS they used to have, which, would prevent them from buying it even though it's a good car. It's also why old names were brought back (like Impala, Malibu, GTO, etc.). People would see the name and think of the the cool car they used to have, which, would make them buy it even though it's not the best car in its class nor like the original. Names mean something. BTW, 240SX actually stands for something, unlike G6. It's documented and not just speculation. :D
  4. My preference is to keep the Grand Am name. Again, I wouldn't have been so pissy about it if it had been replaced with a real name; one with meaning, substance, etc. G6 not only sounds retarded, it has no meaning. It doesn't conjure images of anything. It has no special connection. It's meaningless. It's retarded. Period.
  5. *ahem* This thread is about the retarded use of alphanumerics in the Pontiac lineup. *ahem* Take it elsewhere. Or drop it. For my sake, please.
  6. All these stories are giving urges to do... things that I can't at the moment (GA running sour, registration ran out... oops, no good roads for that in Bville). Damnit. I need to hurry up and get that 240SX. Race that idiot that bought the green Civic I wanted, traded his V6 Eclipse for it (IDK why, it was fast), and riced it out (all appearance so far). Atleast his friend/brother/whatever-he-is still has his Celica GTS. I could probably race it too... I know my GA gave him a run for his money. :P I doubt I could do anything with his other friend/brother/whatever-he-is with a Supra, though.
  7. That's the way it seems to me.. which ones didn't? Wasn't this the start of the power numbers going WAY down? [post="57115"][/post] Yes, it was, but there are always exceptions... That and it's only one's perception. :P
  8. No, it actually is the 6th Gen. 1st: 73-75 2nd: 78-80 3rd: 85-91 4th: 92-98 5th: 99-04 6th: G6, 05-present Yep. Anyways, some people around here have probably seen me do this: "G6 (Grand Am)". Yeah... I'm not a fan of alphanumerics. I mean, if you must change a vehicle's name, atleast use an actual name for Christ's sake. I still wouldn't have liked it, but if they renamed the Grand Am something like... IDK, a meaningful word... I wouldn't have been so bitter over all this. But G6? G...6...? Are you f**king kidding me?
  9. Um... *searches for old sig links and thinks hard* N-Body.net Grand Am GT.com Grand Am Owner's Club Pennocks Fiero Forum Fiero.com Fiero.org Fiero Addiction Fiero Pride Fiero Driver Fiero.net Solstice Forum Solstice Forums.com Vtec.net (Honda) Fresh Alloy.com (Nissan) Toyota Nation Not all are other guys... :P I don't really visit any of them anymore.
  10. Damn... Capricemen and Brandon have alot of guns. I guess I better list all the guns in my house instead of ones that are just mine. :D Tonight... my parents might think I'm weirder than I already am. :P
  11. Rice is different than just Japanese. :D I'm not a fan the 3000GT or any Mitsubishi other than Lancer EVOs and earlier Eclipses. Anyways, that car is a 300ZX and the red one is as well, just the previous one. I agree that it doesn't look good in that pic... but it's better than anything else I found as they were riced out or such. Ugh...
  12. Will do... Just make sure not to commit any Pontiac hate crimes, dress up as a tree or a cat or a rabbit or a deer or a groundhog or a squirrel, hang out in old abandoned houses, or just generally piss me off and you'll ought to be fine. :P
  13. I have a 243 WIN Rifle, a 20 gauge shotgun, and a Daisy BB gun! :D
  14. Yes... A very good point.
  15. I... uh.. nevermind. Only raced some dude with some car and had some result. :P
  16. (From his perspective, as always) I totally agree. :D
  17. Speaking of which... *cough* riced-out-Camaro *cough* :D
  18. "Only in America." :P
  19. Do you want to this to happen to you?
  20. Nah... Only if the Fiero gets the subforum it deserves. It did, afterall, lend the Vette (and now the Solstice) it's basic chassis design. That and it was GM's first and only mid-engined vehicle. It also lended it's plastic 'polymer' bodypanels to Saturn. The Fiero is just as significant as the Corvette... trust me. (Relax, I'm only being serious)
  21. There better be a GTO.. and if not; atleast a Firebird. GM makes me weep, sometimes. The future looks bleak even though griffon says it's not being killed. I haven't been sure what Pontiac is going to get for a while now... :( :) (<-- throwback to MC...) Oh.. what? This is a thread about the Monte Carlo. Whoops, sorry about the rant. Haha... but this sounds interesting.
  22. Well... only if the Fiero gets it's own subforum as well. I'm sure I could keep it quite active.
  23. You can say that again... *drools*
  24. Heh... I wish. :o I mean, I wish I could.. uh... control such a thing. :D Haha... but I did find out how to control the engine's temp. You see... it runs cooler at higher rpms. I was babying it and keeping them as low as possible and it kept trying to overheat. I tryed everything the manual said (yes, I read it when it first happened), except keeping the rpms higher than 2.5k. Once I did... the temp stayed well below the red line no matter what speed I was going or what gear I was in. Is that not weird...? Makes no sense to me... but that's what it did. :P
