  1. Hmm... still not impressed by this design, but it is better than the coupe.
  2. Damn, you too? Sorry to hear about that...
  3. Sorry to hear, Bimmer. I'm glad to hear your sister is okay. I'll agree that your car doesn't get the respect it deserves... The IS is a great little car.
  4. Went to the Dubois mall... There's a Toyota store in the mall... Anyways, got to look at a new Rav4, Avalon, Tacoma X-runner, and others. The Rav4 surprised me. It's smaller than I expected after hearing how much bigger it was. With the Avalon's engine... this thing is going to be... to be... well, fast. Other than the interior, and the rear... I like it. The Avalon... still ugly. The Tacoma... if I had to own a truck, it'd be this one.
  5. Yes... the 968...
  6. Same here...
  7. Nah... how about now? No... I was just ranting. I was more or less just saying how bad of an engine GM made. No comparison to a modern GM engine or a foreign engine. Mainly saying that some people in thread are giving any foreign engine a hard time... that's undeserved, IMO. That and I'd love to have an engine that revs easily... and that won't blow up when doing so. :D Well... if you had a Quad4. The Twin Cam may be just an updated Quad4, but they are perform differently. I've driven both... my mom had one like yours. I know... That's one thing I did like about it... Quad4s sound awesome. Definitely the best sounding 4cyl I've heard.
  8. Well... you do realize how many different cars that could have been? I mean... there's the 924 (2.0L - 110hp), 924 S (2.5L), 931/932 924 Turbo (T 2.0L - 170hp), 937/938 924 Carrera GT (HT 2.0L - 210hp), 944 (2.5L), 951 944 Turbo (T 2.5L - 220hp), 944S (2.5L) 944 Turbo S (HT 2.5L - 250hp), 944 (2.7L), 944 S2 (3.0L 208hp), 968 (3.0L 236hp), 968 Turbo S (T 3.0L 305hp), and the 968 Club Sport (3.0L 236hp). Going by specs, there are very few that a Cobalt, like yours, could beat. Those are: 924, 924 S, 944, and 944 S. The rest... unless you have an SS, which you don't, will be faster. An SS SC would put up a good fight for most, while a few would be faster.
  9. Well, that's California... :P Of course Porsches are going to be common. Elsewhere... not so much. Especially in PA. The only Porsche I've ever seen (or atleast remember seeing) is the Boxster and only twice. :D
  10. Of course...
  11. You mean like Toyotas... I wouldn't consider BMWs to be overrated. I'm sure Nick could easily show you why... :D Anyways, I just find them to be intriguing and definitely not overrated. There's something special about owning a Porsche. Much like Fieros, they're unique... different... First, there's the styling. It's pure beauty with most Porsches. Bold, yet classy. Muscular, yet sleek. Truly timeless, IMO. Then there's the performance. Flat-sixes, turbos, inline-fours, three different engine layouts, all wheel drive, air-cooling. Very interesting abilities. Finally there's the prestige... the german engineering. It's hard to explain, really... I mean, a Chevy is just an ordinary Chevy. No matter what, a Corvette will always be a Chevy. They're not prestigious or out of the ordinary. They're sold along side Aveos, Cobalts, Malibus, etc. They're the poor man's sports car. A good one, at that. They don't have that presense... They're American. I'm not saying against it, just that there's something about not being made in your home country that is intrigueing in a way. That... exotic-ness, IDK, that the Corvette doesn't have. So... who all originally thought I was a domestic/GM-humper? :P
  12. *drools*
  13. Person here who is fascinated with Porsches? ...And have I ever told you guys that? I wish I still had my NFS: Porsche Unleased game for my PC... I loved that game, ya know. :P
  14. What he said...
  15. Guys, sciguy_0504 is trying to be sarcastic. Lets all calm down... [post="64441"][/post] Yes... sarcastic, but I'm not impressed by that comment. Sorry... it irks me.

    Pictures!

Heh.. well, that's why I like it. But what do you mean about my hair? Facial or head? Or facial after head? ...Sorry, it just popped into my mind. Damn double entendres (sp?)... Yeah, well I rarely shave. It was for Xmas and the family since they always comment about it. Haha... maybe if I didn't look so damn happy. I wonder what I was thinking about... See? Much more presentable... that's why I shave. Otherwise, I never would. As for popping collars, yeah... not for me. I'm not a prep and I don't like looking like a... um, for NOS's sake I'll just shut up.
  17. Yeah... I keep forgetting that, but sales still haven't been where they deserve to be, IMO.
  18. Japanese only... for now. It's the new bB. The Scion xB is the the bB in Japan... hello?!?!? Also, I'm not sure what you guys see in this interior. As far as I'm concerned, it still has center mounted gauges while the actual dash is uglier. Oh.. I guess it has NAV...
  19. That doesn't surprise me... The Sonata is a good midsize vehicle, better than the Camry and Malibu. I think we all need to keep an eye on Hyundai. This, the Azera, new Santa Fe, Tiburon... all good cars that I don't think anyone without a bias would hate to own. Are there better cars? Definitely, but they're good efforts compared to their predecessors. What is surprising, though, is that the G6 outsold the Cobalt... I think it's good enough too, but sales haven't been spectacular since its introduction. I mean, even the clearly worse Malibu has outsold it so far this year.
  20. Well, I'll just say this... The GM Quad4 in my 95 GA had to be wound out for power. Of course, it only had a 6100 rpm red-line (I think...?). That and it hated to rev. It had enough torque below 3000 rpms until you went up a hill. 2800lbs, 150hp, and about 150 lb/ft of torque. If you kept the rpms up, which it hated to do, it moved semi-quickly for what it is. My point? It hated to rev and doing just that one night, I blew it up. Now it's for sale as you can see by looking at my sig. Easy revving engines are a good thing, regardless of where the power is at. :P Because I'd still be driving my GA if it wouldn't have blown up (basically) which it wouldn't have done if it had revved easily (come on... I was below the redline by a few 100 rpms, damn thing). You see? :D Okay, my rant is over.
  21. Hahaha... So did I!  :D Agreed. B)
  22. I concur... Sixty8 is the master of typos. :D
  23. Well, Olds guy, those sound about right from what I can remember... :P
  24. Typos are a common problem in my posts. I think and type slow, but try to do both faster than I am able to. :D
  25. Welcome back! :o :D
