It runs... it'll just overheat on you. That and it makes noises. Come on... you know you want it. Overlook the styling, change the back lighting. Just take it. It's cheap (you can't tell me that a car worth $2000 is only going to be sold for $100). You'll enjoy it. You can't see the styling when you're driving it. Just change the back lighting (I've seen it done and heard it isn't that hard to do). Come on, Razor. I'll even throw in a free 26" Mongoose mountain bike (a few years old, it needs the sprocket, I think, repaired or a whole new replacement). How about a stereo system too (works, except for the CD player won't play CDs)? Do it, you know you can't resist this deal.

Smartass. First off, there's a difference between going retro, making a modern reincarnation, and using styling cues from the past. I'm against retro, but not the other two. I'm not agaisnt looking back to the past at all. Doing that, as in like the other two, doesn't end up as blatantly copying. Blatantly copying is completely unoriginal and just plain pathetic. That's retro and that's what I dislike. Second, american design looking like it's trying to be foreign (or vice versa) isn't saying that it looks like any particular foreign car. It's saying that it's trying to look like a foreign design, as in something that looks like a foreign company would make. They key word is trying as it isn't excelling at it and comes off as inbetween. With that said, that is the G6 coupe and vice versa, it's the Lucerne. Third, stop with the sarcasm.

Alright then... I have an idea. Why don't you come to Brookville with a trailor, give me 25 $20 bills, and take my GA. You can have fun with it. Find out what really is wrong with it. Fix it up. Have yourself a nice little coupe with a 5spd. Enjoy it... until something breaks again. Sound good? Does to me... when are you coming?

Alright then, I love cruising at night with a car too. Again without headlights (but foglights) and again nude (I told you boredom makes me do stupid things). Haha... anyways, that was just one time. What I really like to do is to do a stealth cruise after midnight. Interior lighting and the radio off. Going fast as possible through the PA country. Listening to nothing but the sound of the engine and the road. Alot less traffic to interfere. Makes for an invirgorating drive, I must say. B)

I didn't say it was a bad car. I just don't like the styling. It comes off as anything but a Buick. It doesn't look good as a Buick and hell, it wouldn't look good as anything else either. It's just a poor design lacking substance and soul. It's like a foreign design trying it's hardest to be an american one. It simply doesn't work and I don't like it. Either have an american design or a foreign design, not an inbetween one that trying to be the other. The G6 coupe suffers this same problem, just trying to be foreign instead of the other way around. These designs look horrible to me. Sorry, but that's my opinion.
-
Um... alright. Cruising after midnight is fun... especially with an ATV, in a rural area, under the moonlight, and without the lights on. Super fun. Doing it nude is even more fun, if it's warm enough. A great way to... uh... air out.
-
I know, but blown headgaskets make oil milky and exhaust steamy. So...?
-
Meh... I seen it again, today, and I think it looks just as horrible as it did the first time. I want a better looking Buick... built by Buick, that looks like a Buick in the true Buick sense. The Lucerne is not even close to that at all. Sorry, but I don't like it.

Well, it wasn't very obvious. Did you know that through the use of smilies, it can become more obvious?

Parents let me take the Blazer... So I went dealer hoppin. -New Tahoe!!!! White, LT... Looked good except for the small wheels. Loved the grill, headlights, body, rear, interior... everything. It's literally perfect when equipped with the 20 inchers. Also, did anybody ever noticed the bose speakers located on the A pillers? -Impala SS. My first one. Looks alot better with the big wheels and sportier front fascia. -Another G6 coupe with the standard GT wheels (looks better than the with the opt GT wheels) and another Cobalt SS coupe (still looks awesome to me). These got me thinking... if my parent's were to suddenly win the lottery and buy 4 vehicles... They'd be new Tahoe, Impala SS, Cobalt SS, and whenever it comes out, a new Silverado. A G6 GTP would be nice for me, but I don't think I could choose it over all the other possibilities. -Lexus IS, first gen. Drove buy it. -Hyundai Tiberon. The previous one with multitudes of lights on the front. Surprised me, actually. I was somewhat interesting in it. Looked over it, it had a manual and tinted windows. It was silver. I must be going crazy, but I actually liked it... for a moment, until I hit myself and thought "240SX... 240SX, Cory". -Dark green GAGT coupe. Damnit, it had leather and looked oh so nice. Lately, I've been having... *brain fart* ...whatever it's called for a 5th gen GAGT. If it wasn't for the fact that I can't afford one, it might be my next car instead of the 240SX. Oh well... -New Honda Civic Si. Black, looked better than regular Civic coupes. I want one. -Tuscani! Well... a dark blue Hyundai Tiburan with Tuscani badging. I guess it would be no different than seeing a 240SX with Silvia bading. It just caught me off gaurd.

Damn... that's it?!?!?

I'm talking about the Silverado, which, will more than likely look similar to the Tahoe than the others. I know what you mean, though. That was also running through my mind as with looking like soft 99-02 Silverado. As I said, hopefully it looks like the Tahoe more than anything. If you don't like it, why not take my advice and leave? This is a GM forum for GM enthusiasts. Generally, GM enthusiasts dislike companies like Toyota. Whether you disagree with it or not, nothing you say could possibly change that. You obviously can't say anything positive about the members or the company that the members are enthusiasts of. So, why don't you do us all a favor and just leave. Staying here just proves that you are nothing more than a troll as you do not belong. I am really getting sick and tired of it. Exactly.

Did he reply to that specific post? No, so you can answer his question. I'm curious as well. Since you seem to know more than him about what makes a certain sedan more sporting than another, it is only natural that you must drive one, like him. Or I know... you could take my advice as well. Maybe that would explain something. It is located in my post incase you overread it.

English... and Spanish (but no fluently, just know it).

Ocn... when exactly is the Philly show? If it isn't too soon, perhaps I might sell my ATV and buy a car. Ah... who am I kidding? No one has wanted it yet, so I doubt I'll sell anytime soon. Oh well...
-
Well, the GA gurus say that it has to be a spun rod bearing. I mean, at first I thought it was a blown headgasket, but there are no signs of it. The oil isn't milky, the exhaust isn't steamy. Um...? Again, though, I don't want to worry about it. I want to get rid of it no matter what the hell is wrong with it.
-
Boredom, eh? Well... I had fun... with a Blazer.
-
Yes, you are... You really do love to take pics of yourself. This is the best thread ever. It didn't become that by everyone only posting pics of themselves. Otherwise it would not have 700 or so posts... Why stop now? I don't want to be like the example. Anyways, get some pics of yourself and post 'em. You want to stay on topic, don't you?

Alright, this is what I posted: "First off, I'm a 17 year old male who is fanatical about Pontiac and have been for most of my life. I currently own a 95 Grand Am GT with the Quad4 and a 5spd. It has experienced critical engine complications and didn't think it was worth fixing. It hasn't been that great of a car. Therefore, I am currently in the market for another vehicle. As I scanned my choices, only one car stood out, the Nissan 240SX for its RWD layout. As much as I wanted another Pontiac, I couldn't justify choosing FWD over RWD. I live in PA, by the way, and usually experience snow from late November to early March. Had Pontiac come out with a compact coupe with RWD during the '90s, I could easily say that I'd own another Pontiac. Obviously, I am for RWD. While I respect FWD and have had some fun in my Grand Am, the benefits of RWD are far greater than those of FWD, especially for supposedly sporty vehicle. My wish is for Pontiac to one day consist of nothing but RWD vehicles. Styling would be sexy, sleek, and thoroughly modern designs that are not afraid to be aggressive and soulful (unlike the G6 which is quite bland). My proposal: -Grand Am would be the compact coupe, sedan, 5dr hatch, and conv at about 2900lbs. The SE would receive a 2.4L Ecotec with D.I. and a 5spd manual/auto. The GT would receive a High Output verson of the 2.4L Ecotec with D.I. and a 6spd manual/5spd auto. The GXP would receive a detuned version of the Solstice GXP's turbocharged Ecotec with D.I. and 6spd manual/auto. The coupe and conv would seat 4 while the sedan and hatch would seat 5. AWD would be optional on all trims. Pricing would ideally start around $16k. -Grand Prix would be the midsize coupe, conv and sedan at about 3200lbs. The SE would recieve a H.O. 2.4L Ecotoc with D.I. and 5spd manual/auto. The GT would receive a 2.8L V6 with D.I. and 6spd manual/auto. The GXP would receive a turbocharged 2.8L V6 with D.I. and a 6spd manual/auto. The coupe and conv would seat 4, the sedan would seat 5. AWD would be optional on all trims. Pricing would ideally start around $20K. -LeMans would be the fullsize sedan and wagon at about 3600lbs . SE would receive a 3.6L V6 with D.I. and 6spd manual/auto. GT would receive a Northstar 4.4L V8 and 6spd manual/atuo. GXP would receive a turbocharged Northstar 4.4L and 6spd manual/auto. It would seat 5 and AWD would be an option for each trim. Pricing would ideally start around $26k. -GTO would be based off the Grand Prix with a coupe and conv. Base engine would be an LS2 V8 and a 6spd manual/auto. Optional engine would a High Output version of the LS2 V8 and a 6spd manual. It would seat 4 and pricing would start at around $28k. -Torrent crossover would be based off the the Grand Prix's midsize platform. SE would receive the 3.6L V6 and a 6spd manual/auto. GT would receive the 4.4L Northstar V8 and a 6spd manual/auto. It would seat 5 and have standard AWD. Pricing would start around $25k. That's my dream, however unlikely it may be. I feel going that route would find success for Pontiac and surely make enthusiasts happy. If atleast a RWD compact makes it to market someday, you have a buyer right here." -Posted by: Cory Wolfe at January 21, 2006 01:33 AM

Atleast the grill isn't tacked on like the Pursuit... Still rather pathetic, though.

Hi, my name is Cory and I'm addicted to C&G. It started 2 years ago... I would come here, talk about about cars, and make some of the best friendships. But then... it started overtaking me more and more. Soon, I couldn't stop coming here. I would be on all day and all night, even through school. It has caused me to get unbearable headaches from sleep deprivation, unthinkable grades from ignorance of school work, and unexplainable thoughts from interesting topics. If it wasn't for C&G... well... I'd be just another lonely soul without a life, literally. Sure, I wouldn't get those nasty headaches, terrible grades, or weird thoughts, but those aren't important. Cars are. Another night of being a victim. I should sue myself.

Well, here on the east coast, it is officially NOS's 18th birthday! Happy birthday NOS! Since we can't send yourself in the a large cake to you, I will be doing the honors. I'll be in my "birthday suit", in a large cake, coming to your party. Hope you enjoy me! Let's hear it for Mr... series III, sNOSage, womanly proportions, riced out poser V6 Camaro, in the closest, Camaro humper, popped collar, prep... named Frank. Haha... Seriously, happy birthday.

One question... Manual or auto?

My dad "supposedly" did when I first bought it, but he didn't do alot of things that he "supposedly" did.... So who f**king knows. I know I don't... Meh, it's going bye-bye anyways. I shouldn't worry about it anymore...

Heh... I don't have that kind of money and don't think it's worth it unless you're going to do a total restoration of the entire car as well any custom mods I'd want. Since you're not and I don't have the money, no thanks. Yes, I've looked under the hood quite a few times to try to figure out what the hell is going on. The coolant is full, the radiator isn't blocked, I don't shift at 6500 rpms... I mean, during the cold days of the winter, it overheated on me while running at a lousy 2000 rpms. No matter what rpms I drove it at, it overheated. I even took some steps that my manual suggested, like rolling down windows and blasting the fan (just the fan, no heat obviously). Again, that was during the winter, I remind you and it still overheated. All while I froze my ass off. I thought about driving with the hood up and leaning my head out the window... that's how bad it got...
