  1. Heh... I'm no mechanic... I'm more or less relaying info from my dad, as I help out somewhat while he does most of the work. Anything I've said, is what I picked up from him or what we both noticed.
  2. For one, it's too much. And two, I don't really like the styling... looks too old. And three, I prefer the size of the 3ers. Finally, it's an automatic. Only manuals for me, no exceptions. So... if I found one that was cheap and in perfect condition... and very close to me, I'd consider it, but it's not a favorite or anything compared to any car I've so far listed. There is one about 10 miles from me listed in Autotrader for cheap, but it is an R title, so I don't think I could trust it. Yeah... I like notchbacks more than fastbacks, besides the few exceptions where it's too extreme of a notchback (like Fieros). That's another reason why I prefer the 5th gen GA to the G6 coupe.
  3. Nooo... you're getting colder.
  4. A WRX is way out of my league... a 2.5 RS is more realistic.
  5. ...And that pretty much agrees with what I said, IMO.
  6. Well... I, quite possibly, am going by, realistically, what Fly said to me and others. Personally, I don't have a problem with you, but honestly, you weren't... just... someone who helped C&G's reputation. Between your pissing matches with Croc, bad decisions on your part, failing to keep your word, as well as simply taking this site for granted... you only hurt C&G. Yes, I respect that you are the one that paid for the site, but I've heard from others that the big crash wasn't all accidental and could have been prevented. Look, if anything, C&G is better off... You're not the sole reason C&G is running and I'm sure, with the help of donations, merchandise, and the upcoming PMP someone will easily be able to pay for the site and keep it running. Again, nothing personal...
  7. Hmm... Impreza...
  8. Still no 100% correct answer... One was really close, but off by half a globe.
  9. As I said, the rob bearings were fine, as were the pistons. The only thing we've found wrong with it was that the head was warped from it overheating. Otherwise, I haven't had a chance to personally look at the spark plugs, but their getting replaced, regardless. IDk... a headgasket makes the most sense since it had overheating issues that came with the knocking. Even though the headgasket looked fine, maybe it wasn't and the replacement will fix it. When it's finally put together, we'll see.One thing I'll still trying to figure out is the ticking. It wasn't the timing chain, as we thought. It was replaced back before I started driving it, trying to fix it. The guy I bought it off it said it started doing that after he put a $400 coilpack in.... Sounds like BS, especially the price, but nothing else has worked...
  10. I think it is more of a "you piss off Fly, you'll regret it," quite simply.
  11. I won't deny that some answers are close, but just not exactly correct.
  12. This endless blue theme is rather depressing. Anything would be better...As for the heritage forums, well, regardless, I'd just end up posting it in the Lounge, like I have in the past with Pontiac tributes. Gets more responses that way and means less lulls (and boredom).
  13. I got the story from Fly, and that's all I'll say. That said... now there's room for me, right?
  14. So... you are saying the knocking sound was there, but then went away? Well... don't ask me why, but with my GA, the knocking sound never went away. However, it sounds the same as you described it... not very noticeable while idling, but the higher the revs, the louder and quicker the knocking. At first, we thought it might have been a spun rod bearing, but later on a blown headgasket was the conclusion. Upon tearing it down, we couldn't find anything wrong with either, so I don't f@#king know...
  15. Oh, you like angry/slanted headlights? Too bad it's not a truck, though... or a Sky.
  16. Negative... and the squares are the same size, it's just a bigger pic.
  17. What's your defintion of personality..? If it hasn't been listed yet, I probably won't consider it.
  18. You are about to be bombarded with pics. Take cover. They are coming...
  19. Celica The mileage worries me, but it looks like a nice car. Celicas are alright... I like them.
  20. :sign0200:
  21. So does a BMW. I'm not worried about it. If I was... Camry Solara here I come!
  22. Heh... "It's for the school paper!"
  23. Sixty8... I wouldn't touch a "real" Cougar. Ugh... and you can't possibly dis a 3000GT unless you're insane. Same with Eclipses. And it's funny that the Grand Am is by far not the best FWD compact on there yet you recommend it over the better ones... Besides, unless $5k magically shows up in the Mailbox tomorrow, these are just a examples, more or less. That and there are more cars that I'd consider than just those, as I explained. That doesn't solve my aching love for my Uncle's Buell... Sure it'd only be for the spring, summer, and fall... but so would a 240SX. With gas prices, I'm highly tempted to get it over a car... And I'd still have my GA if it'll run once it's back together.
  24. Haha... yeah, I loved that sig. It was awesome.
