  1. Audi A8 while driving in the pouring rain on the interstate... with my almost bald front tires: Yikes! Felt like I was hydroplaining the whole time. When I would go down a gear to pass, I'd spin the front wheels at 65!
  2. Well... The whole point of this thread was to teach about Mazda's you more than likely didn't know about that I love. If you can tell me that any of the cars you posted you had no idea about and you just found random pictures of unkown (to you) cars... Yeah. Dumbass. *slap* The problem is... It should have turned an actual color. Not tan. Like red or purple or orange... Well, it doesnt matter. I made a typo. It was supposed to 93 for the Xedos 6 and I was going to mean MY. But changing the Aurora to 00 with the Xedos 6 at 92 would fit as CY for both. I almost said that after posted, than saw my typo...
  3. Gotta love my Millenia. It may not pack alot of power, but its always there when I need it. Damn Toyotas, Hondas and VWs.
  4. I only know of GTA III, as far as names go. But he has all sorts of fantasy type games, some hunting type games, an Army type game... etc...
  5. I'm not trying to be an ass. I said a while ago, that the way someone could actually help other than going off about how baaaaad that Dell is once again, would be to find me a better laptop for $500. I said it nicely. I even thanked you guys for the help, even though it didnt really help. I wouldnt be such an ass now if you hadn't virtually ignored all of that and continued to berate my situation and tell me how bad that Dell is. Please, try to tell me otherwise. If I'm an ass...
  6. RBB... considering that Xedos 6 came out in 92, while the Aurora came out in 01....
  7. Hmm... well, atleast with that desk, it'll be off the floor while in my closest... But jeesh, dont take me explaining my situation so hard. As I've said, Im working with what I can. I cant help it I have no desk nor room for a desk in my room to possibly put a desktop on. And if you've read my original post, I'm more than greatful just to get a new computer of my own. 8 years, I've had to deal with this POS and 8 years I've had to use a shared computer. To finally be getting my own computer... is awesome. For all the more I use a computer for, the rest doesnt matter as much. So Im not complaining... yet you are. Thank you. See guys, was that so hard?
  8. Well, BMW's iDrive was the first to come to mind. I'm not debating you, just saying it was a bit more advanced. Which it was, feature vs feature. The GM system debuting in 89, the Mazda system in 90. You, being a predominate GM fan, could it say built upon GM's system, but that's only a year. It takes alot longer than that for technology so advanced for the time. The Mazda system was more than likely in development long before any knowledge of GM's similar system.
  9. Hmm... where am I going to put a desktop... Hmm... how about the closest? Yeah. Oh and will you guys stop with the "save and up the price range". It doesnt work that way. I'm not the one buying it, my parents are. They bought my brother a PC a year or two ago and said they'd do the same for me... sometime. Well, it hapens to be sometime for once. I was given a max price of $500. Less is prefered, believe me. If I had the room for a desktop, I'd get one. But I have the smallest bedroom and yeah... unless I want it to sit on the floor and go in the closest, it's not going to work. Since this will be my computer, it wont technically be replacing the one I use now, which will keep its spot down here in the living room. I'm just going by what I have to work with. $500 or less; laptop.
  10. "This 4th generation JC Cosmo was way ahead of its time electronically as well (1990) by being the first production car with Car Control System, a CRT colour touch-screen controlling climate control, mobile phone, GPS car navigation, NTSC TV, radio and CD-Player."I think this system is a bit more advanced. "The 1989 Troféo could be ordered with the Visual Information Center - a dash mounted touch-screen CRT that controlled the vehicle's thermostat and radio, and also supplied advanced instrumentation such as a trip computer. The VIC could also serve as the interface to an in-car hands-free cell phone."
  11. I dont think they're all that big. Looks slightly bigger than a Nissan 240SX.* Wheelbase: 2750 mm * Front Track: 1520 mm * Rear Track: 1510 mm * Length: 4815 mm * Width: 1795 mm * Weight: 1570 kg I don't feel like converting all that, but there are the dimensions. Well, I guess its not one of my favorites, then.
  12. Alright, I get it, but that still doesnt give me any other options. No one has yet found any other laptop for $500. That's my limit and desktops are out. So, if you're going to tell me all this, you have to back it up with something. Not desktops, not computers more than $500. Again, that's all I'm asking.
  13. Well, Wikipedia offers pretty basic info, although, not without mistakes...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda#Marques http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efini http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eunos http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xedos http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autozam
  14. Heh, yeah, Mazda went brand crazy. There was Efini, Eunos, Autozam, and obviously Mazda. Xedos never became a brand, the two vehicles that shared that name were still under Mazda. Obviously it was supposed to be a brand, like Amati, which was shelved entirely. As for the wing, neither do I, but it was the best rear 3/4 view I could find. But yeah, if it were imported here, along side the Millenia, I think I would have bought it instead. Its more my size and style. It's sexier, too... almost has an Alfa Romeo like look to it. The only place it lacks versus the Millenia is its interior. I love these cars. That... makes no sense in the thread what so ever. That it is. Later versions got a more traditional steering wheel, as well as available lower rent audio/climate controls. What you see had a touch screen that controlled many of the functions, ala BMW's later iDrive system minus the controller.
  15. Agree, agree, agree. Thank (the nonexistant) God for more people with brains!
  16. My favorite non USDM Mazdas... Yay. The Xedos 6/Eunos 500. The Eunos Cosmo. The Mazda 323F/Lantis
  17. Wait... is Rick Conti related to Adam?
  18. Wow... you have extremely bad taste. Hatchbacks are hot. Your MC is not.
  19. Well, 128 cuts it for basic stuff on me POS. I'm not looking for something that will blow it away, I'm looking for something better, in the form of a laptop, and with a warranty. Again, I dont use a computer for all that much. I'm not a serious gamer, if a gamer at all. All I'll really use it for is internet and my photo editing programs. 256 is more than enough to handle that, Im sure. As far as Celeron goes, its in my bro's PC and its fine. He's a gamer and has it stuffed with dozens of games. It's still faster than this thing. Im sure it'll be fine even in a laptop. Same with 40mb hard drive. Espeically if Im only using 4mbs as it is. And again, if its not worth $500, find me a better laptop for $500, not a penny more. If no one can do that, then you're not helping me any bit. You guys keep telling me how bad of deal it is and how not to get it. Well.. prove it with a better laptop for $500 or less. It's all Im asking. Waiting doesnt make my max price go up. Haha.. yeah, I'm still going to have dial up.
  20. Hippity Happity Bday, Bitch!
  21. The Charger, absolutely. I can justify liking it now, but not at first. I cant think of any others. Usually, my opinion doesnt change over time. I still think the Caliber is ugly. Still think the Compass is ugly. Still think the 300 is ulgy. Still think the Sebring is ugly. Still think most of the bangled BMWs are ugly. Still think the Aztek is ugly. Etc, etc...
  22. Isnt that spoiler like the one that was on the GXP concept?
  23. No... I dont think that is a good example. How about this? I.. uh... don't see it.
  24. Alright... for all the more I use a computer for, I just need something better than the POS I have to deal with now. 256mb of RAM is bad? What about 128 that I have now. 40gb of hard drive is unnacceptable? What about 9.52? And I'm currently only using a third of that 9.52gbs. 40gb isnt enough when Im only using about 4 as it is?As far as upgrading it, No. It's not worth it. I'd rather have a completely new computer with a warranty. The only good thing about it is the Printer I have hooked up to it, which is its 4th. Otherwise, the moniter is just about shot. The speakers are just about shot. I'm on my second keyboard, second mouse, and both are going to be need replaced soon. I only have a CD drive. There are numerous other things outdated with it, including the software. It would simply cost too much to upgrade it. It's a POS and not worth it. Second, I want a laptop. I do not have the room in my bedroom for a desktop, nor the money to buy a desk to sit it on. This will not be the family computer like the one Im using is. It will be for my use only and again, I dont use computers for much. Internet, a game or two, image editing, and thats about it. This computer can't handle any games, but its acceptable for atleast the other stuff... somewhat. So Im really just looking for a new, better computer in laptop form.. just one that is good enough and isnt going to cost me more than $500. I'll have to look into those, but they're desktops. No me gusta. I love Apple, but they're simply too expensive. My 1998 Gateway Essential with a Pentium III has half that. So yeah. Appreciate trying to help, though, guys. It just hasnt helped, yet. If you can find a better laptop for under $500, then you'll help.
  25. Bobbity Bob... What to do with it? Well, if you like being old tech, you can always send it my way. I love gadgets.
