  1. The majority of people on this website probably can't afford it. You're basically saying your's and few other's opinions are the only ones that matter... In other words, C&G is useless banter. Yeeeah. Exactly. High sales or not, those are excellent vehicles that sparked enthusiasm in those brands. That matters... and Pontiac has a larger dealer base (eliminating the Focus, as it sold well) with a highly appealing car that's alot more than just GTO v.2. Exactly. And I once again agree.Evok, I generally agree with what you say, but I think you're wrong here.
  2. My driveway hasn't changed in 8 months... Same old Silverado, same old Sunfire, same old Grand Am, and same old Millenia. Fun.
  3. K Swiss for me.
  4. Well said. I noticed that as well. Quite odd for a car some people are labeling as conservative...
  5. Cool. Looks like fun. I've yet to meet any C&Gers, unfortunately...
  6. This says nothing about the importance of my opinion. If it even did, most people's opinions from online forums wouldn't matter. It won't stop me or anyone else from posting their opinion of the vehicle or opinion of other's opinions. It doesn't change the fact that people are enthusiastic about a certain vehicle. Only a small percentage of people are complaing and it's unfounded anyways.
  7. And yet another Over 60% of people here gave this car a 5, including me. The only other vehicles I've felt compelled enough to give a 5 was the CTS. Usually, my main complaints are something being off with the design. I'm picky. I'm even pickier about Pontiacs. This G8 looks perfect to me. There's not one thing I'd want to change about it. It looks downright sexy compared to any other Pontiac that someone mentioned as being "more Pontiac". Yet, it looks perfectly fine next to any of these. Not bland, not impure, not completely out of line. Fine. As I've said, it's a chiseled, muscular, edgy, and stealthy evolution of the other recent Pontiacs, mostly the Bonneville GXP. Whether or not it's a rebadge is absolutely irrelevant. It has Pontiac cues, but some of you are just too stubborn to actually see them and are only complaining because it was designed as Holden. Guess what, that Holden looks alot like a Pontiac. I love Pontiac to death... I love it and I'm sick of people complaining. This is the most I've been enthusiastic about a GM vehicle in a while.
  8. As I said... That chop looks like a Cadillac as much as the other one looks like an Acura.
  9. I don't care if it's a rebadge. I care about the design itself. I look at it, even minus the grill and badges, and I see a car that fits in with other recent Pontiacs. That's what buyers are going to see... along with all the other positives this car has. Say what you want, but all you and Balthy are doing is needlessly bitching. End of story. Exactly.
  10. Other than the rare alcohol and and even rarer cigarettes... I'm sober.
  11. G8... Autoblog's exterior pics weren't all the great and I need a G8 pic with more depth than the press pics for my desktop.
  12. I said the Screaming Chicken cars... as in Firebirds and Trans Ams. Not the actual decal. I'm simply saying that it fits quite well with Pontiac's recent vehicles. The similarities are there. It's not be as wild as a Solstice, Firebird, or certain Pontiacs of the past, but there's more to the G8's design than you're willing to admit. I could easily say the vehicles of Pontiac's 'peak' were nothing special... It's just a different era which you happen to be more enthusiastic about. a simple chop could easily make one look like other vehicles of the same time period. You'd most likely disagree just as I would disagree about your chop. It looks nothing like an Acura to me. It'd look even less like a Mazda. When people complained about the GTO being bland, I thought it was funny as any past GTO wasn't any more original except for the wild Judge paint schemes and decals. They just wanted it to look like the old one because they like that era more. There's nothing inherently special about past designs other than safety, performance, etc weren't as focused on. Designs today are not as disposable as you try to make it out to be. Atleast not any more than designs of the past. With that said... The G8 makes the Pontiac fanatic in me jump with joy. The Commodore makes an excellent Pontiac, and I'm not talking about the drivetrain. But that's just me...
  13. In what way? I don't see it... In the CTS, it's so obvious since there's a PC tower sticking out of the dash. That's the whole idea of "looking like a PC stack." Nothing like that in the Astra. It's essentially a more stylish, edgier, techier Cobalt's interior. I'm not seeing this "PC tower."
  14. What? The Astra's center stack looks nothing like a PC tower.
  15. But yes, it looks awesome in this video.
  16. *shrugs* I found it hilariously stupid. Clicky
  17. I.. Love the interior. I'm glad they didn't Americanize it. I'll gladly take this: Over this:
  18. There is absolutely nothing offensive about the ad. First off, it's called a sense of humor. Get one. Second, freedom of speech. Learn it. Third, open-mindedness. Stop being so anal. This is ridiculous that people are actually complaining about this. Guess what... I've known people who've lost their life to suicide, and I myself, was once suicidal. I'm not offended. I thought it was a funny commercial. If you can't learn to put life behind you... You're a lost cause and no better than anyone in a mental institution.
  19. Like the xB... It's not bad, but not good either. The interior isn't as bad as the xB's, but still pretty bad.
  20. The interior is still one of the best looking interiors available in a compact. As for the exterior... Menacing? The current one is more menacing since they got rid of eyebrow in the headlights. The taillights are nice, though.
  21. The exterior isn't all that bad, but the interior... My god... It's so randomly styled. Nothing works together. It like.. goes against my gayness.
  22. Yay. My first win in the 3+ years I've been here. Thanks for the votes, guys. Congrats to the others. I'm happy.
  23. As I said... It has plenty of Pontiac design DNA in it... just not the same DNA you want. The greenhouse is nearly identical to the last two Bonneville's. The rear is a less gaudy interpretation of the current Grand Prix's. The front is a mix of much bolder Bonneville GXP and a toned down Grand Prix. The rest of the car is an edgier, chiseled, muscular Bonneville and G6 without the FWD proportions and cladding and with some gorgeous, aggressive wheel flares. Unintentional or not, it's all there. If you were expecting something like the Solstice or one of the Screaming Chicken cars... You were expecting way too much in the first place. Ocn, Balthy... Get you heads out of the gutter. Exactly.

    MOMS

In every way possible. It's part of the reason I rarely bring friends over. She won't start until they're gone, but once she does, it's an interrogation. Same thing for once I come home from being out... It's led to a few arguements, needless to say.
  25. Happy 18th Birthday, Bimmer! Happy 16th, Olds442!
