  14. Finally arrived via UPS. Now... to decide whether or not I like Windows 8.
  15. My aunt bought herself a Dart for Christmas after her 11 year old Nissan Sentra finally succumbed to head-gasket issues. I had to tell her of my jealousy. They are a really appealing compact, especially with the Abarth engine and in the below color.
  16. I have finally bought myself a decent laptop. After advertising $500 off throughout this holiday season (and receiving some holiday cash), I decided to bite the bullet and buy a Lenovo Y400. For $750, I got a 3rd gen Intel Core i7, 8GB of ram, 1TB of hard drive, and a NVIDIA GeForce GT650M graphics card. It also has a few luxuries I was looking for such as a backlit keyboard, decent speakers (JBL... though, I've never been impressed with any laptop's built in sound, so we'll see), and a metal cover. Here's to hoping it meets all my needs and wants once it arrives. I can't imagine it wouldn't, besides the twisted functionality of Windows 8, anyways. If you consider that I've been using a desktop with a lousy 1GB of ram, 250GB hard drive, and an Intel Pentium D processor with ancient built in graphics, it ought to be a fairly decent upgrade. Lenovo IdeaPad Y400 Now, hopefully it will arrive in time for Detroit. It would really come in handy...
  17. Same here.. The hardest part of that is simply finding a car to learn it on. I could teach you in half an hour. The first thing I learned as a driver was how to drive a stick. Lately, I haven't been able to use this skill due to the above. There are alot of good cars that are impossible to find with sticks.
  18. I'm sure it wont look as underwhelming in the flesh. Especially the interior, which likely looks less plasticky when your perspective is something other than a technical drawing. With that said, it does seem to emulate the C4 in layout and design. The exterior seems to be the first radical design change in a while. It's actually somewhat refreshing to see that new hatch and that window design. The taillights are interesting, atleast.
  19. My current car of the moment is the Dodge Dart Rallye in citrus peel metallic.
  20. So, I've been trying to wrap my head around this all night. The best way I can describe how I feel goes as follows. I feel like this is akin to the latest Camry redesign. Toyota says its improved in every way, though they really only make minor improvements here and there. Toyota tries to go with a design that seems more modern and edgy, yet it seems to be trying too hard while still mostly looking the same. A new entertainment system could, perhaps, be its further foot forward. At the same time, some would say to not fix what isn't broken. While not broken, I think its safe to say the competition is advancing at a higher rate. This, to me, is the new Silverado. Granted, there are probably many people out there who probably prefer Chevy to keep their beloved Silverado free of all the new-fangled sissy-boy advancements that Ford and Chrysler are trying. It is, after all, a vehicle that is designed to be used for hauling/towing/etc. Though, how many people simply use it to parade around in as their show of how masculine they are (or desire to be)? It doesn't seem the F-series has slowed down any since adding the Ecoboost engine, either. This is somewhat based on assumptions, though. Until GM releases figures for its "new" power train line-up, who's to say they didn't make the right choice? I guess we'll find out eventually. One last thing, I noticed they have abandoned the level of body differentiation that the current models have between them. I was hoping we would see more unique identities between the Silverado and Sierra. Maybe I was being unreasonable...
  21. I only found out what it was within the last week, myself. I had one pass me while I was coming home from shopping in Pittsburgh. This instant it was described, I knew you had to be talking about the same thing.
  22. Thanks for the additional bday wishes. I'm just ready for 2012 to be over. I haven't been in this consistant of a rut in long time. Turning another year older is the rotten, half eaten cherry on top of it all. Atleast the birthday itself went well... I can't say my coworkers/family didn't do a good job of trying to make me feel special.
  23. Was it one of these?
  24. Thanks. I think I'm having a quarter life crisis. The years are starting to go by too quickly.
