  1. Hmm... So let me get this straight... A Charger is like a dating a slut who's probably oozing with STDs whereas the G8 is like dating a well rounded "girl next door" type who probably has much success in front of her. I don't know... I'm gay, but I totally wouldn't pick the Charger from that analogy.
  2. Ocn, open you're damn eyes. It's killing Pontiac? I don't think so. What is killing Pontiac is crap like the Grand Prix, G6 GXP, G5, Torrent... Need I go on? Holden is SAVING Pontiac. Just as Opel is saving Saturn. The G8 looks great. Why don't you appreciate the fact that Pontiac is getting one hell of a car, that, for once, isn't hideous? It's wholly unrealistic to think GM can just revitalize the entire Pontiac lineup with 100% unique vehicles. Expectations only lead to disappointment.
  3. ..As to why the elderly drive so slowly. It's not because they want to be safe. It's not because their reactions are slower. It's not even because they may be a bit senile. It's the fact they're cheap and want to save every penny they can on gas without having to downgrade into a compact. Driving this Cutlass, this is what I've come up with. Seriously, it has to be true. They generally still drive large boats that chug fuel like no tomorrow. These Cutlasses are known for being own by little old ladies. Not only did we buy it off of one, I passed one the other day that looked to be 80 in a Cutlass similar to mine, but in 'elderly ecstatic' light blue. In their infinite wisdom, they've figured out that if go about 10-15 under the speed limit, you barely need to touch the gas pedal. It'll just cruise along at 35-40 effortlessly. Going even slower, you don't even need to touch the gas. Let off the brake and it will accelerate on its own up to about 25 if you let it. I'm catching on to their tricks, though. Ah, yes, it won't be long until I'm showing them who's the 'real' slow driver. I'll drive so slow, even they will be mumble under their breath about how I'm holding them up for bingo night!
  4. :rotflmao:
  5. Yes, and it was 147, which is supposedly impossible.
  6. Hell, my old 300EX could outrun a Metro and its a quad. Atleast to 60, it's top speed, anyways.
  7. Hmm... What are the dates for the Hershey show?
  8. One thing I appreciate more with the G8 is how it has tight proportions. It's not bulky. Nothing is bigger just to be bigger. There's no excess. Everything is tight and chiseled. It's stealthy, as I said. I can completely appreciate the Charger's broad stance, but the G8 is more my style. The same goes for the 300, except its also quite ugly.
  9. Hmm.. Fun.Critical Acclaim & Almost Easy - Avenged Sevenfold. Two new songs from they're upcoming album. They're very good, basically the sound is a mix of the last albums. You should Youtube them.
  10. Thanks.
  11. Since no one else has and I couldn't find the thread for September... G6 with ground effects, chrome lower grills, and chrome wheels.
  12. More:
  13. Looked at my first CTS the other day and figured I'd post the pics I took, even though we've all seen hundreds of CTS pics by now. I'll say that it's quite sexy in person. Pictures do not do this car justice. However, the base model details really need to go away. The wheels are less than stellar and the black inserts in the fog light openings are horrible. They need an upgrade. The different headlights, however, I don't mind. I actually like the idea of differing headlights. Anyways, to the pics...
  14. If I were in charge, I'd let you on the terms you promise never to utter another "tick" or "tock" ever again.
  15. I saw one last night and it completely took me by surprise. I didn't even here anything about it. From a distance, the front actually looked half decent for once. The rest is still rather ugly.
  16. The exterior of the hatch in WRX form is growing on me, but the sedan and interior are just despicable.
  17. The original CTS is also pretty flat. I prefer to call it stealthy, and I apply the same term to the G8.
  18. As with others have noted, something is up with that Cobalt. My Millenia got better gas mileage than that with a malfunctioning distributor.
  19. Decent improvements. I like the Charger, but I like the G8 much more.
  20. But think of this way. How many people here who want to purchase a Camaro are going to suddenly change their minds because of the radio it has or the interior plastics? I bet no one.
  21. Speaks the one that refuses to buy the Camaro solely because of the existance of a B-pillar. Yeah, we're the ones that get our "panties all in a bunch over stupid things". Get a life, Sixty8. Anyways, I'm glad. The black-tie radios were good looking units but a square can only work with so many interior designs. Integrated radios always look better. The only thing against it is the difficulty with replacing. However, with todays stereos, who really needs to replace them? Stock systems today are generally fine.
  22. Well, the interior looks exceptionally cheap.
