I'm beginning to really dislike the Cutlass. It's turning into more of a continuing problem than a solution. I think the transmission might be starting to go. It's hesitating more and more and is becoming quite clunky. The other night, it gave me a scare as it did not want to shift at all. I'm thinking it just got too hot at the time, but the fluid on the dipstick had black residue on it while the fluid itself matched the paint, a reddish brown. It didn't seem to be overly low on fluid, though. Low, but not low enough to cause those sort of problems. As long as it doesn't return to the state it was in that night, it'll be driveable, but I have a feeling this is a sign of things to come. I'm hoping that changing the fluid will help some. As well, I hate carbureted engines with an everlasting passion. I really do. Between never ending dieseling issues and impossible cold engine idling with a terrible misfire, it's annoying. Not to mention, they are horribly inefficient. This past week, these problems have been escalating. As a result, I'm getting poor gas mileage and there's some light smoking from the exhaust. While I'd like to blame this on the carburetor, solely, but something has to be causing it to become so dirty. Cleaning it obviously isn't a lasting solution as it only went a month without problems. An industrial supply of carb cleaner is in order. Oh, and heater sucks. It's hottest setting is lukewarm at best and the fan is weak. It lets in alot of fumes, too. Anyways, I cannot wait to get back into my Millenia. I need a real car.
  2. I thought that may be it, but it seems so... illogical. I'm glad I'm not a mechanic.
  3. Retro vehicles have such boring details... This one in particular. Square taillights and round headlights. Those fascias just... *yawn* What was I saying, again? It's cool for what it is, though.
  4. ...Do I add fluid to the transmission of the Cutlass?! I searched endlessly under the hood and could not find anything other than the dipstick. Am I missing something?
  5. Am I allowed to add the Cutlass to this list? Though I'm sure no one expected it to live for 23 years in the first place.
  6. Avenged Sevenfold's new album. I suggest all rock fans to give this album a listen. It's easily one of the of best rock albums of this decade... And I even rank it above anything from SOAD. The world may have stopped spinning... So do it. The guitar and drum work is awesome as well as how wide of range the entire albums has. It's very epic. Check it out.
  7. I must agree. Now, I must find his number...
  8. Anything with any variation of the Quad4.
  9. I love those GTV6's. The white one I aspired to is still sitting in Dubois. As Camino said, finding the right buyer for the high end price may take time. That one has been sitting for over a year and a half.
  10. Certain aspects look decent in their own right.. but together? It's quite frumpy.
  11. That is THE most pathetic excuse for a "redesign" ever.
  12. So much for that mesh grill...
  13. What empowah said. Car and Driver is a great magazine. If you expect a magazine that writes good reviews for crap cars, then yes, it's all "biased".
  14. I love the color, but I was expecting more.
  15. The wheels are a bit excessive, but its nice.
  16. Did they really need to uglify it to put the diesel in?
  17. This idea would fit better with the GMC Sierra. The Silverado is too... ungainly.
  18. The interior is hideous.
  19. I love the color.
  20. Armor-all has a new vehicle to promote. For what looks to be a leather covered dash, it's excessively shiny.
  21. I like the headlights and grill treatment.
  22. I like the wheels....
  23. I'll have to agree with FOG. I like how menacing it looks.
  24. To clarify, I was more or less hoping for updated cosmetics for the sheer reason of it looking outdated. All those upgrades and they choose to keep the styling that dates back to 2005? Why not take the incentive to give it a freshened front and rear fascia and address how it also looks decidedly un-sporty. I'm not talking about the downgraded spoiler, which is an improvement by all means. I think the Cobalt has moved beyond Civic Si territory now. Does all those performance upgrades deserve the regular styling? While not coupes, look at the Caliber SRT4 and MSP3... (though a bit beyond the SS's performance) the WRX STi and EVO X. You can argue whether those variants have tasteful upgrades or not, but they have substantially beefier styling. Does the Cobalt deserve its basics looks? Is it really worth it to not have attention grabbing styling and be a sleeper in a segment where flashy is appealing? As I mentioned above, upgraded fascias with more aggressive grills and surfacing would really have added to the mechanical upgrades.
