    So...

It did take a few miles of road. Luckily I-80 has some pretty good straight stretches. However, it wasn't until I hit 110, that the speed in which it was gaining really started to taper off. It has a nice little sweet spot around 90-100 where it rides smoothly and feels very spunky for high speeds. It's a surprising little car. It's no sports car or even a modern family sedan, but I wouldn't have thought I could hit 120+ with only 116 horses on hand. It officially topped out at 123 mph, rev limited. I did this a few weeks ago when the weather wasn't so bad.

    So...

I needed a slight jolt of excitement... Plus, I was curious what the Jetta could do.
  3. *covers eyes* Oops, I think I stepped into the wrong thread.
  4. Gas finally hit sub-$2 prices in Brookville. Currently at $1.96 and hopefully it will be lower yet when I have to fill up in a day or two.
  5. I kind of like it. It's not what I expected.
  6. I think Nissan went back a generation rather going forward. This looks positively '90s the worst ways possible. The previous Cube was tastefully funky and weird... This one is simply weird.
  7. The Boxster is still quite sexy. I can't complain.
  8. I don't necessarily think it's ugly... It's a just a bit of a departure from the current one in good and bad ways. The front fascia is pretty wild... happily, so. The interior is very sleek and shapely. As a whole, it's certainly not as clean as the outgoing generation. You can't say it's boring, that's for sure.
  9. Ford must have accidentally backed the new Fusion into a kid's art class and let them do the design work. Otherwise, it's a good update.
  10. It's pretty sexy. I wasn't sure if Nissan was going to pull this one off, but they did, and very well at that.
  11. Putting bold characteristics on a bland car does not make anything attractive, it seems. It's somewhat ugly. The interior looks to be a less spiffy MKS interior.
  12. Of course. All the time, at that. It's great, especially when I find vehicles that have been left unlocked. It's just so much sneakier to browse at night.
  13. <- Hates winter, especially the cold temperatures and snow. The only redeeming value is the beauty of freshly fallen snow... and driving on such freshly fallen snow. Otherwise, I'll be huddled up next to my electric heater.
  14. I could use a nice red first generation Miata to compliment the Jetta. Perhaps even a late model RB RX7 or an S13 240SX. The thought of a small sized, fun to drive weekend vehicle is quite appealing. Looking at this from another angle, something on a slightly grander scale would be entertaining to pursue. Such as my existing Millenia, rejuvenated, or perhaps a touring/sports coupe of some sort. I always enjoyed the thought of an E36 coupe, Z32 300ZX, 4th/5th gen. Prelude, or even a 4th gen. V6 Firebird, though all fairly similar in size to my Jetta.
  15. The Past - Sevendust.
  16. Those wheels are pure sweetness. I like the different power modes, as well. That's something I could easily become a fan of.
  17. The 2009 Challenger is 197" long, is it not?
  18. True. For some odd reason, I always think of the Challenger as more of a 'muscle car' like the GTO's, Torinos, and Chargers of the day. My mistake.
  19. I hate it when Britney Spears or some other equally annoying song gets stuck in my head.

    Alcohol!!!

I've always had a love affair with Smirnoff Ice Triple Black. I could never get enough of those. After a dozen or so, I'm usually pretty lively. Otherwise, I like the hard stuff and hate beer with a passion. I have to be far gone before I'll touch beer. Tequila is fun, though, I haven't had any since I had that Mexican exchange student 5 years ago. Rum, Vodka, and Whiskey are all pretty interesting in their own ways, mixed or not. White Russians are good as well as random other mixed drinks. I usually just mix whatever I have around. I don't drink very often these days. My current rate is about once or twice a year.
  21. Brookville is infested with "W '04" stickers. I've even seem some of those Nixon stickers.
  22. Speaking for myself, those traits had no effect on my opinion of it looking huge. It's a large car by itself, no doubt, and far larger than the Mustang. If you consider history, this is no surprise considering past differences in classification. However, the Mustang, as well as the new Camaro, are basically it's only competition and such a vast difference is size is surprising in my eyes. Granted, as you can see, the vehicle of which I drive is a mere 174" in length, so anything looks big after stepping out of the driver's seat.
  23. Somewhat unrelated... These things look absolutely huge in person. It looks so much smaller in pictures. I was surprised at its size. The Mustang looks like a compact in comparison.
  24. I suppose I'm one of the few that actually likes it (except for the weird dip in the beltline aft of the doors, that I do not like), and am eagerly looking forward to seeing it in person. It's like a modern Nissan 240SX with much more factory performance, except from Hyundai. What's not to like, besides that last point?
