  1. Agreed. Not to mention the Armada and especially QX56 are absolute pigs. The Infiniti weighs as much as an Escalade ESV.
  2. No, its not a GM. But its just really, really cool.
  3. I like how the Florida DMV will issue 'Classic' plates to anything 30+ years old, whether it be a restored Stuz Bearcat, an original Ford Skyliner, or a rusted-out 1974 Toyota Corona.
  4. Removing God from a piece of rhetoric that's more traditional and ornamental than official will not stop discrimination. I hardly think anyone founds their prejudice on what's on the Pledge of Allegience. The 'loophole' exists in the minds and conciousness of the people who believe them, not anything in any federal document. Sorry, but I still believe its a pointless battle to fight.
  5. Dew Cadillac in St. Petersburg had their showroom in the middle of downtown on the ground floor of their building... ...until they relocated to an expansive showroom/tract of land like every other dealer.
  6. Dude, you forgot the best concept van of them all, the '86 Transport Hot on the outside... ...WTF on the inside
  7. Okay, the United States of America is not going to shoot unarmed civilians crossing the border...
  8. Hey, parked perpendicular to a large truck...where it belongs! Actually, Isettas are pretty cool. I know a guy who has one.
  9. See, I underlined the parts where I defended the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor... ...oh yeah. That's right. I didn't Thanks for the enlightened comments about me, though. 'Preciate it.
  10. The guy who lobbied to have the words removed is an ass. Watch some of the interviews he gives. He's so cocky and full of himself its unbearable. "This is what is right for the American people and years from now, peers of my child and her children will remember me and see what I'm doing is right." Jesus... I'm almost surprised he didn't lobby to change the words to "Under Michael Newdow." What an pompus ass.
  11. Love the classic Cadillacs. And yeah, I think that's the Town Car Cartier L(ongwheelbase). Its a six-inch stretch on the regular TC.
  12. Any car stretched unreasonably. Just so everyone gets educated, this is a limousine... ...this is a joke... ...and this is retarded... Only in America do we have idiocy like that Mini limo, offroad 4x4 Camaros, and RVs.
  13. Yeah, that's the largest turnoff for me. Mileage would be acceptable if the engine had some guts, conversely the lack of power would be acceptable if it were efficient. Its sadly and quizzically neither.

    Kia

No...no, the Honda looks better. Its cutsey whereas the Kia just looks stupid, like its getting ready for Halloween and doesn't know what car to go as.

Guess you either didn't click on the link or didn't see the several-year-old sketch on SNL with Will Ferrell. He tries to enforce his authority as the man of the house at dinner by yelling his accomplishments, among them that he manages 29 employees, can do push-ups on one hand, and drives a Dodge Stratus.
  16. Same reason you see '04 Grand Am SEs with Alero body panels: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  17. :D
  18. Republic XP-47 Thunderbolt Note the streamlined engine cowl thats markedly different than a standard P-47. The layout of the V-16 vs the standard radial engine necessitated this. The '47 (aka 'The Jug') was known as a damn big and heavy airplane, so its modified speed achievement is especially noteworthy.

    Kia

 That seriously looks horrible. Pulled-back Accord headlamps with a new Subaru grille and an Eclipse beltline.
  20. Jesus, people, if you're going to claim your cars are inspired by aircraft, then give them cues inspired by aircraft! Very, very simple. Am I the only one totally unimpressed by the look of this car? I see TL meets TL meets TL with an dopey, upside down Audiesque grille.
  21. This time, the prick is on the outside! :D Seriously, got what he deserved. What an idiot. And why is it cool to have a decent car sound like a $45 r/c plane?
  22. That's a tasteful Fleetwood limo, except for the misaligned door. More handsome than those gaudy Prommobile Town Cars everywhere.
  23. To clarify once and for all, the link was embedded in a signature posted recently by Sixty8. I recieved a complaint about it from two members, one who posts occasionaly, and one that as of yet is a browser, who saw the hyperlink on the picture and clicked on it thinking it enlarged the pic, went to a site, or whatever. Instead, it went to - again - a pornographic site with a very graphic frontpage. Therefore, I removed the link from his signature as soon as I read the reported PMs. One was through the warning system, the other through regular board PM directly to me. Because of the nature of the link, I made the assumption Sixty8 had linked to it purposely as yet another gag. I sent him a PM and warned him about it. He acknowledged it. I'll just come out and say it because its true - on the older boards, Sixty8 went through a period where he did actively post links and pictures that ranged from risque to downright unacceptable or pornographic. He was warned many times about this conduct and finally stopped. C&G is a safe-for-work site, meaning that posting large pornographic pictures, having porn motiffs in one's signature, etc. are not allowed. You may access this site from home, but many do from work and I'm loathe to have someone innocuously check it information about a new car and BAM! porn. The internet is about 75% porn so there are plenty of outlets for it besides here. Its about common sense that most people seem to exhibit. Keep in mind that neither I nor others simply delete things because we don't like them (unless they are clearly unacceptable as I spelled out above). However, if someone DOES complain legitimately through the warning/PM system, I will err on the side of caution and remove it if it can be legitimately considered offensive. That's about all I have to say about that...
  24. Meant the last iteration of that turbine plant. I belive the shitbox above used the same one.
