  1. Ahhh, memories... Ours was an '87. Still miss 'er, square exhaust tips and all. Here's another cool one that seems newer and (hopefully) will grow in the future Outright Oldsmobile!
  2. What? Tell me its not true.
  3. 'Kay, this started off as an unnecessary vestage of an argument that happened days ago. It meant nothing and it still means nothing.
  4. I had an Altima for a day. Its was an okay car. I had a Sentra once, too, now THAT was trash...
  5. Dude, BV, you forgot to post what happened right after those Fiero crash tests...
  6. While I agree its nice (and kind of cute) that Toyota managed to put a car interior into a pickup, it would be even nicer (and really adorable) if they could manage to make their pickup a decent truck, you know, where it counts.
  7. '97-03 GP was perhaps the greatest generation of Grand Prix in terms of popularity and design. They still look good today, in many ways better than the '04. I love when people say "cheap-ass overcladded Pontiacs like the Grand Prix" as it goes to show just how much bias vs. knowledge they have about cars. And also speaks of their visual accuity. 2001 SEMA GP40 Stock Stock Its simply a well-proportioned, handsome sedan.
  8. I speak for this forum when I say if you keep this up, you won't be speaking at this forum.
  9. Yeah. Don't worry, Satty, you should get your Summer Blush Makeover package in 7-10 business days.
  10. Steering columns of the day were rigid, not energy-absorbing, so many times the driver would be violently impaled in a crash.

That's good to hear. I struck his site from my bookmarks before due to his infamous shenannigans.
  12. I saw that. They had some issues with the Skyline, IIRC, and maybe I'm just ignorant, but the stock Jetta looked about as dynamically stable as a Cutlass Ciera around those turns...floated like a bitch.
  13. So...does this mean I don't have to make next month's payment?
  14. 2006 Mary Kay DTS.
  15. There should be mainly two genres of articles - analytical and enthusiast. Enthusiast articles talk mainly about styling, feel, and other nontangible qualities while analytical articles discuss the roadhandling index, fuel economy, and other statistical points. Its when publications that purport to be purely analytical like Consumer Reports starts talking about 'feels like' and 'seems to be' and when short 'enthusiast' reviews dumb-down technical information to terms like 'sloppy' and 'outdated' that gets annoying.
  16. I have to search harder than I should to find news articles about the time Mitsubishi was dumping 30% to 40% of its total production into fleets.
  17. People who buy a Tundra clearly don't either... ...guess they had extra Corolla plood.
  18. Meh. I suppose they meant something at some point, but its all marketing now. Astroroof still does sound cool, though. GM has always had a way with words - Dynaride, Dynaflow, Hydramatic, Twilight Sentinel, even OnStar. All convey that same sort of aeropaceyness and high-tech without sounding clunky.
  19. I just don't see the sense in so desperately keeping SAAB alive in America. Here's a simple solution: Own it, give it back its autonomy though, let them build European cars for Europeans, and import what the US market demands almost like what was done before! GM got dicked with SAAB's Catch-22: make a SAAB too mainstream and SAABists don't buy it because its not a 'real' SAAB and everyone else will just buy something else. Make SAAB too weird, and no one besides SAABists buy it anyway. Its almost like a natural sales cap but for the fact that its SAAB. And before anyone brings up Volvo's success, remember that Volvo sold safety with all-weather front-wheel drive, safety seats, airbags, and a safety cage. SAAB sold weirdness with wraparound windshields, Rube Goldberg cupholders, and ignitions on the center console. It limits your appeal.

    Vince Burlap? Whateva'...
  21. Um...how is it not a luxury car?
  22. Say that to all the articles deriding GM sales as coming from sales to rental agencies and all the cracks made by rag editorials about domestic rentals.
  23. I would think a sunroof would be fixed glass (mainly aftermarket) while a moon/astroroof is opening. At least that's what I think.
  24. The new Rio looks so Godawful. Seriously. All that recovered shopping car plastic molding is sick.
  25. Who says that besides you? Seriously, stop bringing up Ted Kennedy all the time. Anyway, everything is conjecture until the press days.
