SAAB is perhaps the only company that can accurately advertise their aviation heritage. Subaru and Mistubishi do, but their modern developments aren't really significant and their historical ones are probably better left unadvertised.

Portholes are on ships. Ventiports are on Buicks.

*sigh* If thou insists... :) Two great machines. Poetry in motion. Stealthy. Pace-setter. And the best Classic Aurora of them all. ;) :D

A lack of $$$$ prevents me this year unfortunately. But I will be at the Tampa Auto Show this November, faithfully covering everything that we've seen already.
-
I do. Year and a half running all over the tarmac at an airport and the past three/four months at multiple construction sites. I just don't drop crap all the time.

The most ironic part is he used to call out young people and teens for being immature, needy, greedy, and whiny yet he exemplified all those qualities himself, constantly bitching about someone's sig being too big or how something should be posted in this forum, not that forum and then crediting himself with the brilliant idea. I have no qualms about openly mocking him here. Why? Because he's earned it.

Stop reading into things so much.

You mock, but one day women are going to want to vote and crap. Dumb broads.

Yes, a real engine, real styling, and a nicer inside would do wonders. -
Trofeo kicks ass. Period. Plus, it doesn't look cheap. Give me the Olds. Digital cluster, big car handling, touch screen and all.

KBB gives a retail value of ~$4600 or a trade-in of about $1900. It could be a good deal, it could not be. For a car like an Aurora, I'd definitely want to check it out in person, give it a through look-over, and a good road test before deciding. Remember, 1995 was the first year of production for not only the Aurora, but the 4.0l V8 and the entire G-platform as well and while typical first-year problems were far less than other cars, its something to think about. Things to look for are: *Transmission smoothness *Oil leaks on the drip-pan (A problem I had corrected before I took delivery) *CD player condition - these Delco units can often have issues playing certain CDs, even purchased ones. *Door seals - receeding rubber seals can lead to water leakage and excessive wind noise due to the frameless design of the windows. *Fuel rail - there was a recall on a large number of Auroras. Mine was completed before I bought it. *Power antenna - a busted aerial can be indicidive of how the car is treated in general. Again, a car like this may only cost you a few grand, but once you get it and fall in love with it (which most people will), it can become a massive moneypit.

'06 Accord sedan. Pretty blue, but the near rear fascia makes it look so, so, so damn cheap and so, so, so damn crappy, more like a $15k car than a $25k.

The Sonata is still one of those '...for a Korean car' products, i.e. "Nice interior. For a Korean car." or "Looks nice. For a Korean car." Speaking of the interior, its still one of those examples of what not to do when designing a car. Typical dead-panel plates over options you couldn't afford, unergonomic layout, hillarious radio stack and surround. Designwise, its unoffensive because it borrows many-a-cue from the Accord. Peep the taillamps, for one. Derivative, bland styling. Also, what SUV's? The Santa Fe? Decent, yes, but still second-fiddle to the CR-V, RAV4, Escape, and Equinox, all breakout products in their own right. Tuscon is also an oddly-placed also-ran. I do realize Hyundai has progressed, but it still sells on price and warranty and frankly, I could sell Russian or Slovakian cars like that. You mentioned Altima. The '02 Altima had a crappy interior - both layout and materials - decent quality, wasn't the economical, and wasn't super-reliabile. But it sold because it had power and was desireable. I'll wait to see a Hyundai (or Kia) that sells solely on desire before I consider them 'turned-around'. In that regard, Tiburon was the closest.

Corvette SS? Ewwww... The 'Vette is too much car for that moniker...
-
What models are those? I'm still loathe to call Hyundai a 'power player,' though I do realize they're the auto rags' wanking material as of late. They have yet to have one true, solid, breakout product...and the Sonata does not count because its still only just as good as the current, soon-to-be-revamped Camry/Accord.

What you see now was a result of the latest board crash. Josh Admin'd me and I Admin'd all the old returning Mods in order to get C&G back in shape as quickly and effortlessly as possible. Administrators are able to access the Invision Powerboard Admin Panel and thereby do all the validate/suspend/ban members to a higher degree than a Mod. Also, Admins can edit forum data, start new forums, and edit forum titles, etc. The way Invision is currently set up, only those with Admin access can completely add new forums, update forum descriptions, etc. Northstar is an Admin to faciliate his updating of the Artist sections. Others are Admins for similar reasons. As of now, all ten of us (Myself, Josh, TED, Northie, Z, Camino, James, Ven, FOG, and - of course - Walt) are fully-charged Admins, though Josh is the 'Chief Publicist' so to speak while I'm more the 'Chief Administrator,' overseeing the day-to-day here. It works out better this way. Anyway... This is best left to a PM between you and Croc. All this tit-for-tat needs to end now.

Flip phones don't break like that under normal wear-and-tear.

You're missing the point, but since we're at this stage...

Just messing with everyone. No, I wouldn't trade my 'Rora. I love it and it has that special place in my heart as my 'first' car. I've had her for a little over one year now and - thanks to GM ValuGuard - she's virtually perfect, so there's no reason to trade it or give it up right now. Lexus wouldn't even be in my gunsights if I had to get another car, especially a used one. High resale value is great for dealerships but sucks for people wanting a decent car second-hand. For the price of a late-90s Lexus, I could get a better, newer Buick, Olds, or Caddy.

Yes, no longer is it the dull, faded pastel pink but a nice pearlescent pink. The STS I saw today looked very nice...for being pink.

I noticed the gap between the driver's front door and front fender is 3 4/9 millimeters wider than the gap between the passenger's front door and front fender. Also, I vacuumed out under the dash and notice the plastic panel between the firewall and back of the center stack isn't soft. Its hard. Also, when I turned the key in the ignition, I heard a very disconcerting sound coming from the front of the car. It was some sort of growling, like some sort of machinery was there. And when I started accelerating, the noise grew louder! I think I'm going to buy a Lexus. :P :CG_all:

I don't think anyone's 'preference' is a Camry. A Camry is the car you get when your wife/finances/parents won't let you choose the car you want.

You say that, Ven laughs, yet Mercury released this photo back in '98...

He's just lonely and upset we actually banned him, not for the fact that he's banned, but that he can't attention here anymore. I suggest he buy some more Midol, find a naiive but trusting immigrant poolboy to play with, and get a life. What. A. Lo.S.E.R.
