  1. Ranier has always been a lame duck. Buick never needed it and I don't see any benefit it's given them at all.
  2. 1995-1999 and 2000-2005 Avalon. Project Genesis cars (Echo/MR2/Celica). 3.0l V6 engine sludge. That's just off the top of my head.
  3. Its not as much picky as it is a serious WTF kind of issue. There's also, IMO, a big difference between a decent-equipped truck and a $35k car. Trucks are meant for work and to be beat apart a little, so that's why I'd happily accept plastics that aren't a 'proper grain' or whatever as long as its durable. With a car the caliber of a Charger and Montego - especially the Montego - a hood prop is unacceptable. Compacts can get away with it because they're cheap and the hoods aren't that large or heavy. But for upwards of $25,000-35,000, well, its almost a requisite. Keep in mind the $15k Cobalt and late-80s Buick Centuries even had gas struts.
  4. Oh yes it is. Saw my fifth today. The R-Class won't die (Mercedes products don't die; they just linger until no one buys them anymore) but it won't sell as expected. Not with those gangly lines and high pricetag.
  5. Razor, you remind me of Art Bell.
  6. Yeah, people of all ages know Buick makes a solid, high-quality product. Its getting people younger than 60 that needs help.
  7. Keep in mind that is from Wikipedia.
  8. Chery, go home.
  9. In total agreement with the comments about 'superior' European market interiors. Perhaps in material and styling, but when I see these layouts on the stack... ...I get the shakes.
  10. Ha. A neon sign. What a good analogy. Seriously. Where are the good midsizers, DCX?
  11. I still want to know exactly how many cars Toyota fleets. My intrigue was piqued by the trailer of Camries I saw driving...into the Enterprise lot at Tampa International.
  12. And the Rendezvous for all its good was such a half-ass vehicle - old U-body platform, 185hp V6, goofy hindquarters. Yet, what a popular crossover.
  13. Only if you don't include Chevy Trucks. Kinda like how Ford division is #1 and how Toyota Motor Corp is best quality.
  14. I would call the the Corvette and would consist of eight trims: Corvette Club Coupe - 4cyl ecotec - 155hp Corvette Club - 4 cyl diesel - 130hp Corvette-ette - 1 cyl 2-stroke economy model - 50hp Corvetternarian - 4.3l V6 - 190hp Cor-x-4 - 5.3l V8 - 260hp - 4wd and twelve inches of ground clearence Whorevette - 9.8l V12 - 900hp - 2-speed manual - cardboard trim panels - $10,000 - quick and cheap, hence the name Marine Corpsvette - 2 outboard Mercury engines - amphibious sports boat/car Corvette Asperger's Edition - a sports car that has mental and mechanical breakdowns.
  15. A3? ... Why?
  16. Gotta admit, Like a Rock is perhaps the most memorable car ad campaign of all time.
  17. Maybe without all that craplastic.
  18. Hehe Twenteen I guess? Yeah, my 21st birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year, so when you're all celebrating with your families, remember you're also giving thanks for me. j/k :)
  19. ...and right into the hands of Enterprise, Alamo, and Dollar. Nissan is also doing this, at least on a dealership level as the local ones are advertising free gas for a year. If I were DCX, I'd give away $2400 worth of MOPAR parts and after warranty service...
  20. Still 20 for a few days yet.
  21. The only links we remove from GMI (as of late, at least) are those leading directly to spy shots/sketches/etc that GM isn't exactly kosher with. We do this to avoid possible legal reprocussions if anyone from their legal department catches wind. We've been asked a few times in the past to avoid linking to leaked images and we've abided in an attempt to remain within their good graces. Plus, despite the bankruptcy talk, GM still has slightly more money that we do. That would be the reason.
  22. You know, maybe this is God's way of telling us to just learn to freakin' pay attention when we drive...

    New 9-5 Pics

The spoiler sucks. Dear, everyone: stop putting spoilers on cars so much. Its not 1997 anymore. Kthxbye.
  24. Well, its clear this conversation isn't going to be 'fun' in the normal sense anymore...
  25. Good job not making sense. Anyway, Honda commercials are plain bad.
