  1. I've always said that as long as you have some interest and/or desire in seeing GM be a successful company, your comments are welcomed and desired. People who just want to whine, point out how much things SUXXXXX, and wish GM doom can go somewhere else. That should remind us all that we have a common interest and common hopes. Let's remember that more in our approaches to each other on this board.
  2. Yes. You could set up a small, circular room with a circular sofa and this in the middle. An interesting home theatre.
  3. Satty, its right above your post.
  4. What? Did you even read? This has so many commercial applications its nuts.
  5. Ewww...its trying to kiss me.
  6. What Delta_Force said, more or less. The Buick Roadmaster Estate and Chevy Caprice Estate were both intro'd along with the Olds in 1991. They survived until 1996.
  7. Sixty8, since you like pictures... That's beating a dead horse, symbolizing the fact that you dredged up an argument that's been dead for awhile and a signature that doesn't exist anymore. And that's a bridge being built so you can get over it - whatever it may be - that causes you to dwell on these old, pithy topics again and again. My gosh. He looked and was convinced he saw a B-pillar. He was sorta right that a stunted B-pillar exists (re: Ocn's post), but generally wrong. He admitted his false belief, learned something in the process, and moved on. Is it that hard for you to do the same? In the Pearl Harbor thread, you mentioned a Japanese jet was a facsimile of a German one. It wasn't; I knew it wasn't and pointed it out. We all learned that fact, and we moved on. I never referenced it again (except in this case) and don't plan on doing it because its stupid to. We all know things others don't. We sometimes share them. We sometimes learn them. And we move on. Maybe you can take away that lesson from this... Anyway, back to the point of discussion which happens to be Pontiac's use of alphnumeric names.
  8. Dude, stop getting riled up over pithy things like this.
  9. I'm sorry, guys. I was incorrect when I said it looked like a shower clock/radio. It looks like a tabletop clock/radio. Thank you, Timex.
  10. No. No, you can have a full pillarless hardtop without suicide doors.
  11. 1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, a B-body station wagon, and IMO the best-looking... Intro'd in 1991 to replace the old Custom Cruiser and dropped a year later. Also, the last V8 Olds for, like, three years.
  12. Yeah, but then again, some those contestants know every French novelist of the early 1800s, but nothing else.
  13. eBay Chery QQ
  14. This is growing more and more circular. Some people like the 3800 and are sad to see it go. Some people could care less and want more HF engines. Bottom line - 3800 was a fantastic engine and still is, but its time has arguably come and gone. And whatever we say here, it won't stop GM from trimming its availability back to the point where its replaced by something else. Annnnnd we're done.
  15. Razor, calm down. Seriously. Never thought I'd say this, but let's get back to talking about 'The Plan' 9 from Outer Space.
  16. The paint on that old Regal is indeed gorgeous. I've actually seen a very mildly pimped Classic Aurora with 20" rims in what would be like a Sunburst Orange Metallic, but somewhat brighter. Looks quite nice as a matter of fact. Quite honestly, I don't make fun of pimped cars - or really riced cars, for that matter - unless they're poorly-done. Then, they deserve the laughter.
  17. Its both. Today, its home to CINCPAC, which pretty much overseas all the US Navy's Pacific Fleet operations (Submarine, Surface Group, Sealift Command, etc) and is also the home port of many cruisers, destroyers, frigates, and a large portion of our Pacific submarine force. Schofield Barracks is still in use by the US Army and is in fact the largest post in Hawaii. Hickam Field is now Hickam Air Force Base and is home to the Hawaii Air National Guard as well as being Pacific Air Forces Command while Wheeler Field is still in use by the Army.
  18. Wow. That's an awesome story. Pretty clever trickery, too.
  19. Flybrian

    How clever?

What Sixty8 is trying to say is that you'd be far safer traveling to work in a front-wheel drive car.
  20. It would an interior, say, 100x better than any 300s.
  21. I prefer 'baiting' as opposed to outright killing, as in setting up some ricer Honda or hot-to-trot Bimmer to race me right into a police trap. My latest bait n' kill was this evening when this white teen poseur guy rolled up next to me in his (dad's) new 5er with some generic hip-hop blasting and four underaged girls in the car with him. It was just me and him at the stoplight, so he revved his engine (oh boy!), I did nothing. Then, the light turned green, and I rocketed smoothly away and led him for about 7 seconds when he went tearing by me at what must've been 65mph in a 40mph zone...right into the sights of the Sheriff deputy who always parks behind the Citgo sign. Its the simple things in life, you know? :D
  22. The HEMI is not only an image engine, but a misnomer in and of itself since it lacks a true hemispherical combustion chamber.
  23. Clicky Wow.
  24. You do realize that car is better-built than the real thing, right?
  25. So, the answer should be in the form of better traffic rule enforcement and driver instruction, not redesigning cars in a futile attempt to make them uninjurious to people.
