  1. This is not an old man's car... This is an old man's car...
  2. ...with 111,000 miles! 2003 Olds Alero This is expected... 2003 GMC Savana w/192k Or how about this unexpected with 214k? 2000 Park Avenue This beats all with 500,000+ 1999 Ford F-350
  3. Except for James'. His is awesome. Cheers for me for bringing back post delete in 37 seconds with the sworn promise that no one will pull a you-know-what. This is my fourth year being mentioned *sniff* such an honor.
  4. High speed when its appropriate, focused and deliberate around town, cautious in neighborhoods. 25mph and stop signs are sacred to me for I've seen too many small children hit or come close to.
  5. Again, I look back at the first post in this thread about Toyota fuel economy/horsepower inconsistancies and wonder why globalization and a free market system have anything to do with that? If anyone's having trouble, perhaps looking at the first post and title of the thread will aid in figuring out what to post and what to save for some other time and place...
  6. When Chrysler has such a rich and vibrant history of its own to tap, absolutely.
  7. Moreover, this capitalism vs. whatever debate has nothing to do with the real topic at hand. More tangents here than a 10th grade geometry book.
  8. Two days ago I saw a SMART ForTwo on Clearwater Beach with Quebec plates. What an idiot driving all the way in that golf cart.

    Retro Riviera

No more retro. Heritage cues, yes. Rehashed classics a la Challenger, no.
  10. Its 'Bro-ham' like..."Wut up, Bro-ham?" Not really.
  11. Yeah. I'll keep them with my recyclables. I think I'm going to have to add that dead horse thing Brewswillis posted. :P
  12. This stupid decklid-indented-into-the-rear-fascia thing gives Accord a chunkier caboose. Cleaner? Maybe. But blander, smaller-looking, and far cheaper-looking than even the inverted Odyssey taillamps of the old Accord.
  13. Impala is stretched W-body and is related in different ways to the LaCrosse/GP/Regal/Intrigue/MC/Lumina/Cutlass Supreme. Lucerne/DTS ride on the G-boyd, newer and related to both Auroras/Riviera/'97 Park Ave/'00 LeSabre/Bonneville.
  14. The GP rear is what the Accord should have looked like!! Seriously, Accord, lose some weight in your ass. I realize its winter, but...
  15. While we're bringing back dead topics, Tipper Gore.
  16. Wha...? Everyone knows the last generation of Blazer was unsafe, both in actual tests in general characteristic.
  17. Why an Acura-badged Civic? Same reason - Canada is a stonger market for smaller cars. I'd agree if the Pursuit came stateside looking exactly as the Canadian market version does.
  18. I have a feeling the saving grace may be the interior because the exterior is nothing to be touting, especially when the rear end attempts to be more flaired while the midsection remains so blocky.
  19. You're looking at design and size, I'm looking at purpose. The Rendezvous continues the Buick tradition of offering a premium but affordable family vehicle and does it very, very well as evidenced by first-year sales almost outpacing the RX300 and Acura MDX during certain months. An incredible achievement considering its patchwork underpinnings. Like it or not, it is a very Buick achievement. And as Z said, Buick would be in even greater distress without it.
  20. I really don't see why you keep dumping on the Rendezvous. Its a very credible vehicle and remarkably Buick in execution and purpose - a luxurious, rather classy family vehicle. Consider it the classic Buick wagon adapted for today's world. Despite it being the same car with a V8, trimmer dimensions, more gadgets, and a more affordable price? I love the Park Ave - everyone here should know that - but sweet Jesus was it overpriced...$40,000 for an Ultra to start...$44,610 loaded? No sir, no sir, no sir. Consider a similar Bonneville SSEi at $35,000 and I can do without RainSense. How about a V8 GXP for $38,780 and the Northstar V8 will make me forget about automatic wipers. A Lucerne CXS clears out at just under $40,000 with most of what the Park Ave Ultra had and more (Magnetic Suspension, V8, curtain airbags, etc).
  21. Also, the Aztek is truly a fine vehicle. Very versitile, very adaptable, and far from run-of-the-mill. A more powerful V6 option, a bit cheaper price, and the decladded 2002 at intro would've changed the minds of many. Even the Daewoo LeMans could've been somewhat credible given a euro-tuned suspension and turbocharging perhaps. The Parisienne in both concept and US-production form in the 1980s never really belonged.
  22. Its the kind of car the Pontiac we know and love should never, ever, ever make.
  23. Its...interesting. The Town Sedan looks odd with more modern designs and by 'modern' I mean 'curves.' This is the same reason I don't really like the Pontiac Parisienne concept of three years prior. The real Eldorado Brougham was just such a work of art that this pales, to be honest. Plus, you could buy one.
  24. Buick used ventiports off-and-on on certain models in various forms with various meanings until - I want to say - 1984 on the Buick Electra Park Avenue trim (4-ports), the last year before the downsizing.
  25. Check the odometer... A 2003 Corvette...
