  1. Trunk release switch on dash behind wheel. Kill switch in lockable glovebox. Olds thinks of everything. P.S. its better than those chessy, $h!ty handles Japanese cars have on the FLOOR?!?!?!
  2. The Grand Prix's interior is driver-canted, has a DIC, and HUD. Those alone make it >. I just wish there would be some follow-through on these technologies.
  3. The best-looking midsize sedan of the late-90s period. Congratulations on starting something.
  4. God bless you, sir. And thanks everyone for the kind wishes
  5. I can buy a replica of the Shelby Cobra for $30k and 9/10 folks can't tell the difference. I cannot buy a replica of this and even if I could, no one would have any idea what it was.
  6. It saddens me that OMG CAROL SHELBEES FIRST CAR sold for more than this likely will.
  7. Limited-Edition Pontiac G8: 888 Cars Will Celebrate Launch Link to Original Article @ Edmunds DETROIT — As Pontiac's new G8 performance flagship readies for production, a limited edition of 888 vehicles has been announced to celebrate the launch. The early sedans will feature a unique Vehicle Identification Number sequence (001 through 888), along with a special instrument panel plaque that designates the car as one of the first 888 G8s to reach American shores. With over 2,000 Pontiac dealers in the U.S., not every dealer will receive one of the limited-edition 888 cars. Pontiac says eligible dealers will be apprised of their individual 888 allocation by the end of November. Due to arrive in showrooms early next year, the 3.6-liter V6-equipped 2008 G8 will start at $27,595, and the 6.0-liter V8-powered G8 GT is priced at $29,995.
  8. You, sir, sound like a perfect candidate for this fine new car alternative.
  9. Yeah, you and everyone else who comes by the lot. My favorite offer - 'Can I use an old waterbed for part of the downpayment?' The answer is no.
  10. How much is a CPO Fit? I see one for $12.9k with 14k miles. I see a 2.4l '07 CPO Malibu with 10k for $10.5k. Realistically touch the mid-30s with, far, far, far more usefulness than the smart. $11,500 for a smart Pure gives you no radio, no a/c, no power steering, and no alarm. All those options bump the price up to $13,295 at which point a decent car is very easily-attainable. A brand-new Aveo LT with everything but a roof is a grand more...and it holds more than two small people. Plus, you can't take a small child in a smart - remember, kids ride in the back, right?
  11. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
  12. We took one of these Lifang scooters as a down payment on a JGC and damn if it isn't kick-ass... The most appealing aspect beyond mere kick-assery is the economy. It was 4/5 empty yesterday, I filled it up for $2.15, drove about 35 miles around downtown St. Petersburg and then topped it off for $.75.
  13. Power steering. A true hallmark of luxury. In 1954. This, too, shall fade.
  14. That...is bad. lol In its defense, it fit the styling of the time. Hell, even modern DTSs with subtle color-keyed quarter-landaus aren't so bad. But its still funny to hear that being trumpted.

    CRASH!

    Turkey strikes back.
  16. I saw a 2004 LS430 at auction today - white, non-chrome alloys, no nav, no roof. I have to ask myself why would anyone have paid $55k+ for that car when it was new. Foolishness.
  17. The Lucerne weighs a whole 40 pounds more than the Aurora. The center console of the Avalon is a series of flimsy, cheap doors covering...things you use constantly. Great design. If you think the LaCrosse is using the same exact chassis and running gear as it did in 1987 without any changes, you know nothing about the car. And if you think the Avalon isn't riding a mid-90s chassis in some way, shape, or form, then you know nothing about that car either. Toyota just does a better job of concealing the lineage of its automobiles than domestics do.
  18. Catch up to the Avalon? Haha...you're stupid. You keep mentioning the 3800. The CXS has a Northstar. What in heavens are you talking about?
  19. Actually, no one remembers the Transport. And even it wasn't that bad. Good name.

  21. 2009 Solstice Facelift Draws from G6 GXP Link to Original Article on Autoblog Oh no. Blogger Mickey Kaus says that he's seen an updated Pontiac Solstice ('09, presumably, since the '08 is unchanged), and that the new front clip sports the unbecoming, "tongue-thrusting" look of the current G6 GXP. Let's hope what Kaus saw was just some driver with poor taste rolling with an aftermarket nose, because the Solstice is not in need of a factory-prescribed rhinoplasty. GM would do well to focus on further refining the next generation of the car and not engage in ill-advised interim facelifts just for the sake of having them.
  22. If you're squeeling your spare tire, your car has bigger problems than you let on...
  23. That thing has no relevance to anything Chrysler has ever designed. Pudgy Cadillac + LaCrosse/Elantra + a dead van.
  24. $299 Let me know if you want my address
  25. Just more evidence that more cars need to look like this...
