  1. The Titan also had problems because the early-run models had piss-poor build quality, something Nissan is very familiar with.
  2. Did you use one of those interior decorating stencils? 'Cause Renault did...
  3. Why does it look like its made out of latex plastic?
  4. Your preceeding sig was better, Sixty, because if Camaro was your Jesus, then apparently Jesus was for sale.
  5. I understand about the XG/Azera now. From a US-market perspective it seems odd. As far as coupe/sedan sales numbers, I can understand with variants on the same model, but General Motors has always seemed to post seperate numbers for independant coupe models, platform notwithstanding. There are breakouts for the Monte Carlo in their releases and have been for Riviera and Eldorado when they were around.
  6. I like the big body-colored recovery hook in the last pic because I assume the best way of driving your Chery is hooking it up to bicycle. Anyone notice how the sideview mirror looks like its mounted upside-down? Why would you want it to curve up and away...are you keeping an eye out for large birds that may mistake this thing for an aphid? And my car had tighter panel gaps after it was in a collision.
  7. This is a fantastic article I read in the library a week or so ago. The part about Toyota's intentions with the Prius is interesting, too.
  8. Remember when Mercedes-Benz made good-looking cars? As far as the new G...why does it have tailpipes in front? Oh wait, that's another pointless styling cue to make it tough.
  9. Actually, that's hillarious...you extolling how Japanese cars suck after hitting a Japanese car while you're driving a Japanese car you bought. Then, you know, you'd have to fix his car.
  10. If you won the lottery, would you shove it in our faces like this, too? Just kidding. That's a nice little bonus, man.
  11. I think this is you who interprets it in that fashion and not the vast majority of the people, otherwise all corruptions of the English language from "ya'll" to "wicked" to "don'tcha'know?" to "gnarly" that people find annoying would be collectively referred to as Ebonics. There are certain phrases and words used predominately or created by American blacks in the same way that New Englanders, Southerns, et al have similar. Ebonics Statement by CAL
  12. In other words, the ones contractors and the government buys. Fair enough.
  13. Uh, no on Kappa. I think its been made abundantly clear that Kappa as we know it is not that flexible.
  14. The Imperial could have a forest inside. If it looks like the concept, negatory.

    SRX

Yes, it has a $30k CTS interior on a vehicle pushing $60k in many trims. Again, for a $35k SRX, the interior is just fine, but once the price goes up, so should the interior.
  16. Um, hey Edmunds, anything midsize is competitive with the Accord and Camry. The correct way of stating it would be that it competed poorly.
  17. So, its Friday at 4:30PM and its been raining since, oh, say, 10:00PM on Thursday. Visibility is less than a mile and the sky is still pouring torrents of rain. You come upon an intersection that is flooded out with perhaps two and a half feet of water. You're driving a Toyota Celica. Do you... A) Go as far around it as you can. B ) Stop, wait for the flood to subside. C) Stop, make a U-turn, seek an alternate route. D) Drive right through it because, hey, if the National Guard 6x6 in front if you made it, you can too! Some chick chose D and became the fifth of eight cars I saw flooded out today. One was a spankin' new Mercedes CLS with the window sticker still on it. Dang. Believe me, it was super fun trying to find ways around the water today. This was insane, guys, I'm talking more flooding than some of the hurricanes that have brushed by here as of late. And its still raining!
  18. I don't see how they classify half the cars they do. Why is the XG350 and Azera counted as one? Why is the Impala and Monte Carlo counted as one? How is the Honda Element 'entry-level' and not a crossover? Lucerne is a luxury car while LeSabre/Park Ave aren't?
  19. Blah. I was multitasking.
  20. Ebonics is a racist term. Ohkay...
  21. You would think the true Muslims would be more atuned to attempting to reign in or inhibit the extremist factions.
  22. Well, why buy an RL over a TL or better yet, a real luxury car from Infiniti, Cadillac, et al? Its Acura's own fault anyway. When you drop names to focus on "building brand equity" a few models are always bound to get lost in the mix like this and the MDX. Its also pretty expensive with bland, Accord looks, and a V6. Yeah, the DTS is FWD as well, but not only is it distinctive and has a V8, but it knows what it wants to be. The previous RL and old Legend were boulevard cruisers. What is the new RL supposed to be?
  23. I feel the same way. Look at their political cartoons regarding the West, Christians, and George Bush. Fair is fair.
  24. More like another Chevy vs. Dodge matchup: Corvette and Viper. Sure, the Viper can beat the Corvette in some aspects and its clearly the more raw, musuclar, unbridled powerhouse of the two...but you can live with the 'Vette.
  25. That's a pretty ugly three-spoke, too. Three-spokes are for sporty cars, not boulevardiers.
