    .....

I'm going to be bold and say they can ditch that spoiler now. Tack-on style spoilers like that are sooo chintzy.
  2. Your signature is very befitting. Thank you again for the facts, Griffon.
  3. Actually, B-P-GMC makes a whole lot of sense. Chevrolet is your basic whatever car and truck, Cadillac is high-end luxury. Pontiac offers more focused and refined performance that you get with SS-trim Chevies, GMC offers the extra touch of class and luxury accruments a step above Chevy, and Buick is traditional American luxury without the high price. SAAB fits in with Buick or Cadillac where the market deems it appropriate. SAAB-Buick pairings seem more ideal, though.
  4. Um. Its a Cobalt, not a Daihatsu. What's the big deal? Whatever wheel-drive, its a solid buy.
  5. Shouldn't be a question here... Firenza
  6. Configure and do the test drives here. They're hillarious. "Mein Xenon headlamps are on"
  7. I would qualify the second-generation Odyssey as a hit, but certainly not the first. No one wanted small tall wagons. Also, its true that Honda has no real iconic product. Demostrators like Asimo are complete wastes of time and not much more than tradeshow attractions for most people.
  8. Styling is a matter of opinion, nullifying that argument either way.
  9. For Buickman, "De plan, boss...de plan!"
  10. Better get your fill of posting this week because on Saturday, March 4th, Cheers and Gears will be offline starting from 12 midnight until 3:00AM at the latest. Webmaster Z28luvr01 will be tweaking and updating the front page to a cleaner, more user-friendly format. When we return late morning, we’ll be back with several new forum features and also the official debut of two additional forum sections for your use. We hope you’ll enjoy the ‘refreshed’ face of Cheers and Gears! Brian Dreggors Administrator
  11. As long as they make them match the general interior backlighting. Toyotas and Lexuses annoy the carp out of me with mismatched interiors.
  12. Escalade ESV with one of those drop-down wheelchair ramps and a rear driver-side door that opend automatically upwards like a Delorean. That's the pimpest disabled ride ever.
  13. What? It's a portable vacuum cleaner...so?
  14. Why would you need to swap out or repair any part of the interior like that if it was made well enough?
  15. I would assume all seatback and cushion positions (except heat/lumbar) as well as mirror, radio, and HVAC settings.
  16. This is a mischaracterization. GM didn't set out to build three different Camry competitors, merely field a range of midsize entires to satisfy different tastes in the market. Its clear the Camry simply does not satisfy all tastes, otherwise people wouldn't be choosing Altimas, Accords, and 6s above it.
  17. I think the original premise of this thread was indicating that a Charger SRT-8 is not worth a sticker of $44k, to which I would largely agree.
  18. No, I believe he's right in that sticker price. Remember, the Dodge site says one thing, but the dealership can set whatever price they choose. I wouldn't be surprised to see ridiculous markups that totally devalue any 'bargain' out of these cars.
  19. The Royaum sucks. Old, outdated, they can have it.
  20. $456.18
  21. This is a case where they don't really get anything better than what we have in terms of exterior design. Throw on a set of real foglamps, and I prefer our Terraza hands down. It doesn't have that droopy nose anymore.
  22. Reg, I think you like any chick.
  23. Most Euro cars look ultra chintzy because of all that rubstripping. BMWs are notable offenders, especially the first year of the X3. What junk. Size - Narrows my list down considerably. I wouldn't ever want anything smaller than an Alero/Malibu. Value - I want the most for my money. This goes hand-in-hand with size; a 3er may start at $30k, but its tiny and for my money, I could get a LaCrosse CXS and be a lot happier. Styling - Inside and out. I'm not a dashophile spending hours on end molesting the underside of insturment panels, but I want something to look fairly nice inside and above all be ergonomically sound. This rules out most Korean cars as they tend to annoy the $h! out of me. Outside, my tastes vary, but aero over blockiness and smoothness over harshness is my gig. But what trumps all is Manufacturer - I'll drive them, I'll rent them, but I would be very, very, very extrodinarily unlikely to ever purchase anything outside of GM, Ford, Chrysler, or a select few of their subsidiaries (Jaguar and SAAB) and Maserati.
