  1. Nope. Lower fins are typically referred to as ventral fins. Skeg refers to an extension of the keel below a ship's rudder (and with the advent of powered ships, the screw) designed to protect it from ropes, debris, projections from the sea bottom or anything else below the ship.
  2. What is an M35?
  3. I really want to say Olds Aerotech, alas...
  4. Please, please, please tell me this will get lots of airtime.
  5. Allrighty, guys, its funny, but let's move back on topic.
  6. A 1987 in black, just like the first car I remember.
  7. Absolutely beautiful, Diesel or no.
  8. The complaints do confuse me because they are the little details that add to the vehicle rather than detract from it. Your typical Korean car has a hood prop, hinged trunklid, and a seperate clock from a 1980 BetaMax. Gas struts for the hood and decklid give the car a more upscale feel. There's nothing cheaper-looking than a hood-prop, IMO, and the struts in rear have the advantage you described of not interfering with baggage space. I don't understand the clock-related complaint. When you adjust the volume, frequency, input, etc, the clock display disappears for a few seconds and returns quickly thereafter. Since all digital clocks in cars are hr/min-based, what exactly are you losing here? I really don't understand that. And again, I'd rather have that over the illegible clocks in Korean products. You want to talk about a poor display being forced on something ill-deserving, an Azera has that same mismatched $h!ty pea-green backlit clock a Rio does. Quite sad.
  9. In comparison to the last RL, you're sacrificing some interior room and cargo volume and IMO more road presence.
  10. Sixty8, Even though we've upgraded the forums, we've still kept alot of the old features, one of which being the Personal Messenger (or 'PM') feature, something you clearly aren't (and never were) too familiar with. The PM feature is accessed through this button and is where you can levy your personal attacks and accusations against me. And what the hell is with you and constantly referencing my car? Are you that bankrupt? Jesus, you talk about them almost more than I do.
  11. The only botch with the Lucerne launch was the several-month lull between the last LeSabres leaving dealer lots and the first Lucernes arriving. But besides that...man...
  12. This is about the 8th time I've whipped out the '01 Aurora picture, but it does recall the shape of this... ...in these young eyes due to the rounded decklid shape and creased bodyline running through the taillamp.
  13. See, I haven't read that at all, but I think there's a difference between giving a car a pass for some rattles/fitment issues/etc or what seems to be a haphazard problem, but multiple serious flaws merit attention.
  14. What about the massive SH-AWD logos on RLs? Big, multicolored 4MOTION labels on Passats? Better, yet TITAN V8? All as lame or lamer. Name a marque that hasn't badged a feature of their car, be it a suspension package, engine size/displacement, or equipment. OMG TEY TOTALY TRADE MARKED TAPSHIFT!!! VW trademarked Tiptronic as well. They and every else who devises a unique name for something would be stupid not to. And you of everyone should know most manufacturers trademark and label their manumatics (Steptronic, SportShift, Shiftronic, E-Shift, SelectShift, and Sport AT are ones that come to mind now). My real question here is why are you making this such a big issue for the second or third time, especially because a) its not that lame and b) everyone else does it?
  15. RL = 'Repaired Lately?' Shame on C&D for not taking them below as they would other cars. Especially unacceptable for the price you pay and sacrifies you inherently make with an RL.
  16. My friends and I made up a complete parody of Tight Whips to describe their pack of substandard automobiles. We roll loose whips, yeah oh man, Hyundais, Hondas, Kias, and Astro vans.
  17. I present to you my weekend, which consisted of replacing my spark plugs and wires as well as those on my father's car. I must compliment GM Powertrain in the design of the 4.0l Aurora V8. On the surface, looks hard beyond the even row of plugs which are right up front on the aluminum block... However, the ends have these nifty little pulltabs that allow easy removal... And the odd-numbered plugs that look impossible to replace because they're mounted behind and below the coil pack (which itself has several control module above it) is extrodinarily easy because the coil pack can be unplugged and unbolted in minutes... Total time from hood pop to hood shut (including fitting CoolTube wire insulation on the even-numbered plug wires and some short breaks) - 1hr 15min On my father's Bonnie, it took us about 3 hours, mainly because two plugs were stuck and his 3800's rear plugs are far more awkward to get to. Ahh, a good day's hard work followed by a nice wash n' polish... How was your Saturday?
  18. Well, you know what? F- you too! j/k

    BLS Review

Are you actually acting like you made a valid point in the other BLS thread? And furthermore, you're gloating over it? How is it up there in the vacuum of space?
  20. Seriously, you lack any experience with either car to make statements like these. And it just proves you'll pulling it from your . Shades of the BLS thread...
  21. I can't believe we're having an N-body pic orgy without including a shovelnose Skylark, the car that arrives an hour before you do.
  22. Because BV likes Fieros and 'Fiero' is Spanish shorthand for "Dios Mio! Mis en Fuego!"
  23. Its fun for a few days, then its just there. You can do half of what manumatics allow you to do with a standard automatic transmission anyway.
