  1. Grille looks better, like a real car. Toyota sucks for forcing us to stare at the ugly ones.

    Riots In France

Yeah, but, with cars like these... You'd burn a few, too.
  3. In country of origin, I was director plant of distillation ammonia.
  4. - One editor thought the clock was hard to read Subjective - No one-touch-up power touch window Agreed No dead pedal Negligible - No telescoping steering wheel and the tilt is not power Agreed, especially since the DeVille has had power tilt/telescope since forever. - Ignition in steering column when there's no column lock ???? - No entry-assist handle for driver Negligible. Use the steering wheel like Tony Soprano. If he don't need one, I don't need one. - Lower towing capacity than outgoing model Um. Not quite. The 2wd '07 is rated for 7600lbs while the '06 is at 7400lbs. The AWD '07 is down to 7400lbs vs 8100lbs, but still tows comperably to its competitors (more than the LX, less than the Navigator by a few hundred #s) - No fold-flat third row Preferrential. I would argue the ESV is for third-row utility and comfort.
  5. What's the deal with that? I see Xerox Uplanders all over the place.

  8. Uh...Car and Driver is the epitome of awesomeness, so, what's the problem? Not fetch enough for you? Anyway, did you guys see that write-up about the R-Class? They said it was 'totally crunk.' Awesome!
  9. Will this make the news?
  10. When I was a Sophomore, a Senior LaCrossed while sitting in the front row of our precalc class, so don't put anything beyond anyone.
  11. My tech concern with my car is that the CD deck won't play certain CDs. Should I just get a new car and join the rest of you?
  12. I'm taking into the account that I can go up to my local B-P-GMC store and get a 2005 6.0l GTO for $26-27k brand-new with maybe a hundred miles on the clock. That is bang for the buck.
  13. Well, if its good, 8 weeks. Of course, some things are timeless, like the Mercedes automatic dynamic braking test where they crashed 3 S-classes into each other. Those are non-perishable jokes.
  14. My evenings at the computer here are typically split between class assignments, C&G, and streamed 970WFLA. I catch Phil Hendrie followed by Coast to Coast AM, which was hosted by Art Bell for some years. I'd classify it as some kind of informative variety show as they cover all sorts of topics from ghosts and the supernatural to UFOlogy and govertnment experiments to global warming and astronomy to religious topics as well as current events. Bell himself has been in and out of reitrement for the past few years and the current main host is George Noory, who I find fantastic. Great personality and a great voice to listen to. Although some of the discussions don't interest me as much, I still tune in when I can. Coast to Coast Check it out.
  15. Three weeks. Five if its Toyota-related. There are just aspects to that whole situation you guys don't know about and I wish I didn't.
  16. The joke has long since passed its prime.
  17. Looks like a color they had on the Rendezvous last year. I like!
  18. I'm pretty sure he was indicating do NOT compare the two in those regards, but in their interiors. That's his point I believe.
  19. Swanky! Still, no X-Type

  21. And TAPShift is what Pontiac calls theirs. That very much hyperbole and an exaggeration. You and I have seen worse from many other manufacturers. When the car debuted, I don't recall any car in its segement offering manumatic select on the steering wheel. Also, when was the last time you saw a TAPShift advertisement aside from the debut spot with the kids playing video games or a brief mention in a print ad or title card on a TV spot (just like how everyone else advertises features)? Man...
  22. I would, but its a bit chilly to ride my bike.
  23. They exist on only one side of the steering wheel. It looks asymmetrical and odd to my eyes. Yes, the Impala does it, too; doesn't make it acceptable. As far as the '02 Camry, the entire console is misaligned with the center stack. I'm not talking about 'flow' or 'quality', just basic alignment. For the very final time... Compare the wood console above the gearshift to the lower wood on the dashboard's climate controls. The entire center console is justified to the left. This isn't a trick of photography either; I've been in several of this generation of Camry and it is actually misaligned. It just looks like $h! pure and simply, low-gloss silky textures or not.
  24. When I was last in NYC, I bought some Mount Blanc pens off a guy on Canal Street - 6 for $15. They actually write damn well.
  25. Both the A8 and Jag XJ are simply the best-looking high-lux fullsizers around in their carriage and overall look. Even the restyled 7er has some odd angles, notably (still) the rear, though its better than the ghastly original. The new S isn't horrible, but it just isn't anything worthwhile, IMO. The last generation looked quite nice in comparison. This has a mini-Maybach look which begs the question, what's the point of Maybach? O.C., the lack of R-Class movement isn't surprising. Its big, ungainly and expennnnnnnnnnnnnsive. Plus, everyone already has a Mercedes. No one cares anymore.
